The rain was not particularly heavy, but it did not show any signs of relenting even after two hours of pouring. It had certainly drenched Zach completely as he came walking from the other side of town. At first he had worried that the rain would make his injuries seem less severe, as it had washed away most of the blood. Thankfully, a few stains had already set into his clothing and he had some impressive bruises to boot. Once he was in, wounds would heal, and from what he had heard this 'Kiel' was a sucker for a sob story. He slumped over a little when he reached the door, and raised his hand to rap on the wood. By that time he didn't need to fake a wince of pain, as the long walk over hadn't done his ribs any good by the feel of it. He might be stronger than humans, but that didn't mean he couldn't feel pain. He would deal with it, though, especially if this ploy turned out to work...
