William Westrik Month One Location: Unknown
I am starting to get used to the life of the Ozen's tribe. Despite some hiccups and getting used to nomadic life. I still miss my old life, and while I am not getting any closer to getting back home and where I am. At least the tribe is starting to like me as I help around with the tribe and not just standing around. It is different from my old life. I never had to take care of cattle, goats, or sheep before. Learning how to properly take care of them and other stuff that comes with taking care of livestock. Which I think one, a cow named Vue seems to like me. Still, I am adjusting, and despite my lack of hunting skills. One of the hunters of the tribe has taken up the job of teaching me how to hunt and ride a horse. I have ridden a horse once, and that was with a saddle. Which riding a horse without one has proven to be a challenge to me. I just do not know how they can do it without a saddle and after I explained to them what a saddle is. They seem curious about it. Granted, I do not know how to make a saddle, and I know little about horses but, I have teamed up with a leather worker to figure out how to make one. Which I gathered help of some of the tribe to help since they know more about horses than me. We have made some prototypes, some better than others, and while none are a perfect saddle. It is progress and better than nothing since I just remember what a saddle looks like and nothing else. Which the tribe's leader or chieftain, I should say. A man named Kun seems to appreciate my efforts to help the tribe. I mean, I might as well help the people who are helping me. It is only fair, and it beats doing nothing. But some of the tribe have grown interested in where I come from and what I know. I can repeat what I have said, and as far I they can tell, they think I am from some faraway land, and they are probably right. This land I am not familiar with, and I do not know where on Earth I am. But I did get a clue where, one of the animals the tribe hunts. A weird looking antelope with enlarged nostrils, I have seen that animal before. I forgot what they are called, but those things are iconic and so far. They are the only clue to where I am and maybe I can figure out where I am and find a way home. Since I know they are not native to the Americas, Europe, Australia, or Africa. Well, I think not Africa and so that means Asia, but where in Asia and that still does not answer how the people I have met are this primitive. I just do not know how long that will take to get home. Though one good thing I can say about living with the tribe is that. With no lights or anything other than fires. There is no light pollution, and at night, while the rest of the tribe sleeps. I stay up and watch the night sky in its unfiltered glory. A sight that would be impossible to see in most places, here. I think I can see the Milky Way and other stars that most people could not see back home or in civilization. So, living here is not all that bad, but still a far cry from what I am used to. I am just glad I am not alone and have help. I would not know what I would do without Ozen's tribe. But, thanks to them, I have a chance of surviving wherever I am and getting back home. Whenever that will be.
