The Blacksmiths' Chronicles: Chapter 4; Innovation(s?) (Supposedly)

2 years PA (Post Arrival)
After the galley had been built, and performed better than their ships. The elders of the village began to think more Highly of Olliver, and began to build more of them, by this time they had 1 built and had 3 more underway, as it took them almost 2 years to build the first ship. Olliver had the great honor of being able to go with the crew on its maiden voyage, and he enjoyed the short escapade. Soon after that they decided to build Olliver his own house. They seemed a bit confused by some of his requests, such as making it more of a tower, and also that there were 2 underground floors. This is still under construction, and is due to take another month and a half. Olliver told them to go check around the mountains in the center of the island, to look for new materials/metals he described iron ore for them 'color from bright yellow, rusty red, and deep purple to dark grey or near-black.' he also mentioned that it was heavy, and there might be red dirt nearby. Additionally he was able to gain acsess to a smithy. Despite the fact that he wanted his own, these things are expensive, and take time to build, and as such they take more time and effort to make. So for now Olliver contented himself with working/spending his spare time in the smithy. He had some ideas for things to make if they did find iron around those mountains. But for now he contented himself with making swords, and daggers, some of designs that they had never seen before (like kunai, or throwing knives) and these knives fetched a pretty penny, and also allowed him to gain a bit of a reputation as a quality craftsman.
