At the same time, massive black drills erupted from the earth around the world. These drills were hidden beneath the surface of the Earth by the Protogenoi, an apparently long-gone species of space-faring aliens. They contained technologies that humans had until then only dreamed of, such as space travel and terraforming. Within a century, the Great Powers had divided the stars between themselves, and established colonies across the galaxy. It is now 2285, and to celebrate the 400th anniversary of the Berlin Conference and the beginning of man's journey into the stars, the Great Powers will send out a state-of-the-art warship to explore the galaxy. This ship, the United Earth Ship Intrepid, will be crewed by men and women drawn from all of the Great Powers and their colonies. This ship intends to boldly go among the stars, seek out new planets, gather knowledge, and further unity among the Powers. They may encounter pirates, rebels, and horrors beyond human comprehension, but it's sure to be jolly good fun! Welcome to Weltraumflotte, a game that combines Victorian and Edwardian adventure with science fiction in the vein of Star Trek. If you military RPs and adventure, this game might interest you. This is also a worldbuilding game, in which players will be encouraged to expand on the lore of the world. DISCLAIMER: This game should not in any way be considered a defense or glorification of imperialism or colonialism.
