She thought she was done with it already. She hated how much Michikatsu's demons and society were making it impossible for them to exist and do their job. All they were here to do was save people but they can't even do that with the police being run by a literal demon. She was mostly concerned about all of the time school would take away from her and Hanahi. They didn't have much time together in her developmental stages with her accelerated aging. With how intense everything had been lately she felt like she was missing out on her daughter's life. Her train of thought was interrupted by the appearance of a silver-haired demon slayer detective. She seemed a bit young to have made the rank but Himari didn't care enough to actually question it. If anything, Himari would have preferred to join this unit instead of going undercover as a university student. Despite being labeled as a criminal the former fit her more. Maybe once things settled down and Hanahi was on her throne she'd be able to consider the shift in career. In but a moment Himari found herself under Takaya's Blood Demon Art. It always intrigued her how similar humans and demons were and all it took was a certain blood type to truly bridge that gap. It only reaffirmed her that it was possible for them to end this centuries long blood war and for demons themselves to stop shedding the blood of innocents. She believed that her daughter could be the one to ensure that both of these things happened and it was her duty to help her. Himari nodded her head repeatedly before finally vocalizing her answer. "Yes, Takaya-sama. I'll marry you." She reached out her left hand for him to place the ring on her ring finger. She looked at it with a smile and looked into the distance from the tree they rested on. Himari was unphased by the kill order on her life. She was concerned about the others though. She may have been upset with Tenko, Guen, and the boys for the dumb decisions they made that night, but she didn't want to see them dead. Well, maybe Guen. They wouldn't have even been in that mess if it wasn't for her inability to control herself. "They can try." She said simply. "They'll be lucky if I don't decide to march up to there and kill them myself." She held back her thoughts from pouring onto her face when Takaya said that she was to meet Guen in four days. From the way he was talking it was clear that he didn't want her to kill her. She couldn't imagine what they'd have to talk about it so instead of ruining the moment with an argument she simply nodded her head to show that she understood. She paused for a moment in thought when Takaya said that he'd kill the higher-ups himself. He was always taking everything on himself. They were similar that way. It's why they understood each other more than anyone else did. "You don't have to take on all of this on your own. You're still young and marriage is partnership. I'm here for you. Let me deal with the higher-ups. It's me they want to kill after all. You worry about the Corps and keeping our heads above water." Himari petted his hair as he leaned on her shoulder. "It's all going to be okay. Don't let the guilt swallow you. For now forget about the future. Just be here in the present."
When they arrived at the beach Himari headed straight for the water. She needed it after her last time in relaxing waters was interrupted by someone spilling blood. It had been a while since she had been to the beach. It was before Hikaru and their sister officially joined the Corps. It was one of the last times they were able to be kids without the weight of the world on their shoulders. Himari most enjoyed the beach at night. She felt it was where the moon and the Earth communicated with the moon controlling the tides. She wished that Hanahi could be here. She'd love it just as much as her mom. She'd bring her here one day. Hopefully before she got too old to really have that childlike wonder.
