Capable of maintaining and repairing a wide range of machines. Expert on maintaining, repairing, upgrading, and designing 3D printers. Skilled at using advanced equipment to design and construct things. Undesirable traits: Arthur is believed to harbour strong anti-establishment beliefs. During official interrogation and questioning he is incredibly closed off and guarded. It would be logical to assume he has in-depth knowledge in achieving illegal goals. He is suspected to have widespread ties within the international underworld. Ultimately: he cannot be trusted due to a his proven anti-authority nature. Biography: Very little is officially known of Arthur Eel's life. He managed to spend most of it out of the eyes of anyone who could record anything notable. This alone is remarkable given the death of privacy in a global age. At age 56 he was arrested in Queensland, Australia after being pulled over on the road. The investigating officer searched his car on a hunch and found him to be in possession of some highly illegal cloning equipment. The Australian investigation was initially stalled by an inability to identify him. But it was only a matter of time. After diligent effort from a specialist team aided by cutting edge tech, they managed to dig up Arthur Eel's file from a South African Orphanage. He had been institutionalised there at birth. He passed through the school system, barely, and virtually vanished at age 18. He got the standard sentence for his crime and went to prison in Australia. But the investigation continued, authority had caught onto his scent and it would be difficult to shake now they were interested. During his relatively short stay he was initially investigated the the South African Department of Tax. Then multiple other bodies and countries linked him to cases of fraud. After his sentence was increased, he was passed to another country's justice system. While spending his time in South Africa for fraud he set a new record on the prison aptitude tests. Finally the investigations finished. 8 years later. He was implicated and found to be the central figure in decades of arms smuggling, arming numerous terrorist organisations across the globe, and facilitating a large portion of the world drug trade at one point in time. He operated most of it out of an expansive but out of the way warehouse situated conveniently near the Suez canal. But a handful of other safe houses, bushland airstrips, and quiet port warehouses were slowly discovered. After spending half a decade being passed around international courts and being found guilty for anything they could find against him Arthur was posited an offer: either he could spend '600' years being passed around the worst possible prisons on the planet. Or: he could take up the Concern's offer and be sent on 'provisional internment' working as a maintenance man on LD-10, with high surveillance and low risk of recidivism. Arthur is on a shortlist of criminals that have been 'Universally Banned' from society. In reality what this means is he can not participate in banking, but he wasn't really doing that anyway. He hasn't been causing much trouble on LD-10. This is basically paradise for him anyway, few people, a big workshop, and no money worries. It's a lot better than rotting away in some wretched hole in Russia at least. Bizarrely, Arthur has instructed Holiday to only ever refer to him as "His Majesty, King George the Fifth". On paper, one of the rooms was assigned to Arthur. Or Arthur was assigned to one of the rooms. Whoever was meant to be monitoring him isn't doing a very good job. Some people whisper they've seen him asleep in trees. Most probably he just sleeps in an office chair in one of the dome's various quiet books.

The Cauldron is the largest maintenance bay. The large warehouse sits embedded into the lunar surface, under the dome's rim, it's big enough to fit two of the dome's largest vehicles. A ginormous open ramp leads into it. The Cauldron is Arthur's main workspace. The space is equipped generously with an extensive array of equipment, at a range of scales. Much of the dome's maintenance routines are fully automatic. Any happening that has been encountered, or theorised, a contingency has been designed for. This means that things will usually keep ticking along without intervention. Arthur's preoccupation is doing a daily inspection of the functions of a few critical large-scale 3D multi-material printers. Other than the 3 main printers, he occasionally assists Holiday in specialist repairs. He spends most of his time tinkering about benignly, or sneaking around Holiday with mixed success. The Cauldron connects with a lot of the dome, especially the parts under the surface.
