As such, Odyssey is a collaborative linear sandbox roleplay that seeks to merge and mix the lore of your favourite DC and Marvel characters into one living, cohesive world. The idea behind this RP is not to embody our favourite heroes to simply retell iconic stories and origins, but to take these characters and make them our own. In fact, the goal of the RP is for players to take their favourite characters and re-imagine them to tell stories together. We only ask that the 'heart' of the character remains the same. Players will take the roles of their favourite characters and tell stories in collaboration with other players in order to develop and grow the world.

Due to a drop in activity, we're opening the game up and looking to take on fresh blood to continue to push forward the world, its stories and add new ones into the mix. How heavily these elements are mixed depends on the players, as the world and its lore are shaped by you and your stories. Do Bruce Wayne and Tony Stark know each other? Has Lady Shiva trained with Danny Rand? Have Thor and Superman gone toe-to-toe? These are questions for you to ask yourself, and they can only be answered as the RP unfolds![/indent][/indent]

[indent][indent]From beyond the walls of time and space, waves of corruption have washed over the universe, foreboding the arrival of something ancient and terrible. A cosmic cataclysm erupts, wiping out what once had been and leaving no survivors. But reality often goes through cycles of creation and destruction, and with destruction complete, creation must begin anew. 

In the wake of birthing this new reality, an egg was released into the universe to hatch. It was watched with much fascination by those who exist outside the limits of time and the confines of three dimensions, but no one could have predicted what would happen next.

As the egg drifted through the cosmos, it soon crossed paths with the fourth world. From within, the Prince of Apokolips, Uxas, took a shine to the egg and opted to raise the creature within. The egg hatched, and from within, the creature emerged. It could not be sated by milk from a teat nor by food from the table. It ate and ate, until it eventually devoured a world whole.

By the time the creature had grown, Uxas, now known as Darkseid, had become Lord and Ruler of Apokolips,  God of Evil.

And the creature, Galactus, was a weapon to be used. 

Utilizing Galactus, Darkseid set about his mission of reshaping this new reality to one that benefits him. Manipulating Galactus into stripping planets bare and leaving only the Anti-Life Equation, continually growing not only his strength but his will over this existence.[/INDENT][/INDENT][/COLOR]
