Cause "I Love You's Not Enough", I'm Lost For Words... [M4F] Okay, so I don't have a starter for this concept but it's one I have been itching to explore for a while now! 18+ writers and characters only, please. I am looking for someone willing to, or able, to write as a female character who has recently become a wheelchair user. This could be as the result of an accident, a dare gone wrong, or her own health issues. Her personality and how she looks are all up to you, but the reason I want to throw this premise out there is because I absolutely love the idea of pairing her with one of my two boys. And exploring the loss of their independence, to an extent. Especially if they were someone who *had* to be as such, or someone who deeply values it. Maybe they were someone who had lots of friends, and now they need help, the people who *were* her friends suddenly vanish? Maybe they don't know what to do or say, or maybe they are so vile and vain they cannot take this "imperfection" as they see her having? Both of my characters can help as much as needed, of course. I have Jude, who is on the autistic spectrum. I love the idea of pairing two characters with disabilities together, to see how they can help and support each other the best they can. Maybe she was a bit of a bully to Jude prior to needing the chair, or maybe they were pretty much strangers having never interacted before. Maybe they had spoken on occasion, but again we can discuss all of this! Or there is Will. He grew up in an abusive home, and is a timid soul who does have a lot of warmth and kindness for the right person. Perhaps he is hired to help care for her after the accident/event, much to the initial discomfort (For lack of a better word) of both for various reasons? Maybe they were always friends, and when she needs a carer to help when her family aren't around she asks him? If she's going to need help dressing, she'd rather him see her than strangers? If she's incontinent, she'd rather him clean her than strangers. Seeing how she deals with the frustration, the lack of control, how some people talk about/over not to her, the anger, maybe if it was an accident how she deals with either blaming someone else or herself? Not shying away from the stark realities that she's now facing, but she won't be facing them alone. Again, just throwing concepts out there! I was thinking with Will too, you have the ability to explore more emotional beats and deep trust in eachother. Imagine she is living with her parents having made up and allowing them to help, so she's back home. He turns up at the doorstep one night at 11pm, drenched with rain and wearing a t-shirt and jeans, barefoot. He looks at her when she opens the door, apologies for it being so damned late at night. But the blood under his nose, the split lip, the brusing on his cheek all point to a secret he's been keeping because he's not wanting to seem weak, to make her feel guilty, to make her feel she has to help him. "I can't go back."
