Hey, I'm interested. My question is whether we are meant to use existing monster effects, or just names/aesthetics. I think a lot of the best designs are normal monsters, but why pick them if you can have a modern card with 3 or 4 different effects on it? If you want my opinion, we should leave aside the effects from the card game except for very basic ones - even then they should have some tradeoff, maybe. The monsters should be moreso differentiated by their type, attribute, level, and stats. I'm interested either way, though. I'll think about what monster would make a good partner.
