[@SleepingSilence] Yeah, I should probably have been more detailed in my opener, but I have the engine and basic coding knowledge (though I'm nowhere near the level I'd like to be, of course) down already. It's mostly the "want it badly enough" thing I'm stuck on. I don't want to go all in on an idea I love when I'm still feeling like I don't have enough actual hands-on experience, hence the search for interesting gameplay systems with which to gain more. You can only learn so much by copying simplistic games that already exist, and while I'm still not maxed out on that, I do think I'm getting closer to that point. I already have an issue where every time I play a fun game I want to make something in that vein, lol, so that makes it a bit of a double-edged sword to just play a fun game for ideas.
