They are incredibly sharp, capable of slicing through even the thickest armor, and are also capable of serving as a conduit to focus her mystical energies. Power: Killing Blow- Super-Mega-Ultra Zappy Zap! (She really isn’t one for originality…) Perks: Dual Weapon- Described above. Enhanced Weapon- Stacy’s claws are made from Zinethonium, a strange substance dredged up from the depths of one of Dr. Zinestine’s captive singularities. It possesses many unusual properties, from its staggering strength, to its ability to channel magic, all of which serve to greatly aid Stacy in combat. Enhanced Sustenance- Stacy is no longer fully human, thus she no longer needs to eat, sleep, or do many of the other things regular humans consider necessary for survival (like breathing). Automaton- True to her nickname, Stacy’s kinda… stitched together. Pieces of her are completely detachable, and she has mild control over her limbs if they are detached from her. Thanks to her, um, “modular” nature, she can also re-attach a severed body part, or replace it with something similar. For example, she might pull out her eye to scout ahead by rolling it forward, or slip her hand through a cage's bars to root around for a key. It’s important to note that she doesn’t feel any pain from this, or from much of anything else for that matter… Immortality- Lacking blood, internal organs, or even a central nervous system, Stacy is extremely hard to kill. She feels no pain from even the most grievous of injuries and can even fully recover from getting herself literally blown to bits. For such a clueless and disaster-prone girl, this is a significant blessing. Patron: Dr. Zinestine (Lesser Force) Patron Benefits: Focused- Zeinstine is a genius inventor (if only in his own mind), and as such, he is fully devoted to helping Stacy get the maximum possible benefits from all the “improvements” he’s made to her. Mental Link- After seeing how easily she could get distracted, Dr. Zinestine installed a telepathic communicator in Stacy. This allows him to always keep an eye on her and give her instructions no matter where she may run off to. Physical Prowess- Thanks to infusions of highly irradiated vita-cells and an array of biomagimechanical components, Stacy is now much stronger than any normal human has any right to be. Genki Girl- Stacy was always hyper, but now that hyperactivity has the added benefit of never going away! She never gets tired, aside from (very) occasionally needing a (literal) second to catch her breath. Naturally, she thinks this is great! After all, it gives her more time to have fun! Magical Overload- Dr. Zinestine does not believe in half-measures, or safety measures, or basic sanity, so it should come as no surprise that when he rebuilt Stacy, he overloaded her with dangerous levels of magic power. Patron Drawbacks: Alien Mind- There’s a reason Dr. Zinestine is called a Mad Scientist… Rival Force- Other Mad Scientists are always trying to take Dr. Zinestine’s place as the greatest Mad Scientist of them all. From Professor Pendulum to Doctor Edissela, all of these rivals seek to disrupt his plans, and so must have their plans disrupted in turn… Vendetta- Among all his myriad foes, there is one adversary whose cybermantic voodoo doll stands atop all the rest, at the very pinnacle of Dr. Zinestine’s pyrrhic pyramid of hatred: Dr. Nykannis, self proclaimed “Queen of the Mad Scientists”. Zinestine will stop at nothing to see her crushed beneath his spring-loaded heel, to have all her work, inventions, and projects go up in a stupendous blast of alchemical flame, and he expects Stacy to do her part in helping him achieve this glorious goal. Monstrous Form- When Dr. Zinestine rebuilt Stacy, he didn’t have a lot to work with… Aside from his boundless imagination and vast super-scientific proficiency! Hahaha!!! Ahem… Thus, Stacy is now something not quite… Scratch that, not even remotely close to human… The various key points are enumerated below. Nonstandard Limbs- Stacy’s entire body is a stitched together hodgepodge of parts from an array of different sources. She also has a few odd bits of gadgetry jutting out of her, most notably the large bolts on the sides of her head and protruding out the back of her neck. Mental Mutation (Chaos Engine)- Stacy was always something of a prankster, and now that mischievousness has been cranked up to eleven! She just has to mess with people and cause a little bit of chaos everywhere she goes! But it’s all in good fun right? Second Specialization- Dr. Zinestine’s genius has permitted Stacy access to not one, but two magical specializations! (ah, ah, ah!) These two specializations are Fire and Lightning, the primary forces of progress, and destruction… Redirected Magic- As a result of Dr. Zinestine’s tinkering, a portion of Stacy’s magic has been redirected to fuel her already prodigious physical capabilities. Fighting Style: Stacy’s fighting style is as chaotic as she is. Whenever she has to engage in combat, she simply bounces around, blasting her opponents with fireballs and zaps of lightning (while shouting out sound effects), before closing in to slice them to bits (also while shouting out sound effects). Sometimes she changes things up by doing the slicing first and then following up with some zapping. It really all depends on her mood at that particular moment. Stats (Untransformed): STR: 3 AGI: 3 VIT: 4 MAG: 3 LCK: 3 Stats (Transformed): STR: 10 AGI: 8 VIT: 13 MAG: 12 LCK: 4 Personality: Ditzy, airheaded, and incredibly hyperactive, Stacy is a stereotypical genki girl. Happily going through life without a care in the world, she’s always on the lookout for ways to have fun, make new friends, and have fun with said new friends (or have fun doing things to said new friends, although it’s never out of any real maliciousness, she just thought it would be fun!). Unfortunately for all involved, she often tends to forget that others are not nearly as resilient as she is… History: Stacy was just a typical ditzy teenager heading to high school that fateful morning. As she often did, she carelessly crossed the street in front of the school without looking both ways first. On this particular morning, that decision would have drastic repercussions. Had she done so, she would have noticed Dr. Zinestine’s Glorious Grind-o-Majig barreling towards her, completely out of control. No prizes for guessing what happened next. After finally halting his invention’s destructive rampage, Zinestine went back to retrieve what was left of poor Stacy. She might have seemed well and truly dead, but through Zinestine’s mastery of SCIENCE! she would live again! Bringing the girl’s various pieces and parts to his lab, the good doctor set about rebuilding her. Once he was finished, Stacy was good as new, and far better then she had been before her little “accident”, at least in Zinestine’s not-so-humble-opinion. Now, Stacy works for the good doctor on a part-time basis, while she repays her “debt” to him for “saving her life”. Not that she minds. She gets to travel to amazing places, meet strange people, and have all kinds of fun with them! She couldn’t be happier! Additional Info: Stacy has a very unusual way of playing Chess. Whether that’s how Chess is actually played on her homeworld, or if it’s simply the way Stacy plays it, is currently a mystery. Magical Coins: N/A

Type: Lesser Force Name: Dr. Zinestine Personality: Dr. Zinestine is pretty much what most people would expect from a Mad Scientist. He is loud, egotistical, embittered towards all who would fail to recognize his genius, and very, very insane. Approach with caution. It should be noted that he views Stacy as an invention, rather than as a person, and treats her accordingly (In this case, since he cares about his inventions more than people, Stacy is treated rather well, or as well as anyone can be treated by a Mad Scientist). History: A fairly typical Mad Scientist from a world of Mad Scientists, Dr. Zinestine’s time is mostly spent building new inventions to change/take over his world, and battling against his fellow eccentric visionaries in his quest for scientific supremacy. Resources: Besides Stacy herself, Dr. Zinestine has access to an entire lab/workshop’s worth of bizarre devices, inventions and experiments (both failed and successful), as well as a small army of assistants and minions, many of which the good doctor created himself. He also has a pair of particularly freakish monstrosities that serve as guards against unwelcome guests. However, Dr. Zinestine himself would tell you that his greatest asset would be his stupendous, and completely unparalleled super-scientific genius. Additional Info: Often unleashes cackling peals of laughter for no readily apparent reason. She still got enjoyment from playing Trash-Chess (even if she had to play the solitaire version) and her awesome BFF, Ramona, always had a comfy couch to sleep on whenever she banged on the door of the info broker’s small apartment hard enough. But that was before Ramona showed her an ad saying that global megacorp Covington Industries was looking for people to test out a new product. Since the applicants would be paid “like a gazillion times” more money than she had ever seen in her life (and since her sense of self preservation was virtually non-existent), Stacy literally jumped at the chance (knocking Ramona over in the process). Perhaps a little caution should have been advised, as, upon arriving at the meetup location, she was immediately knocked unconscious via sonic stunner. Even more concerning (for a normal person), after waking up at the top secret testing center, Stacy discovered that the “product” she’d be testing was a highly advanced prototype “liquid metal” nano-slime augmentation. That really didn’t bother Stacy, but the researchers’ decision to “conclude the experiment” and “neutralize the test subject” certainly did. Using her “crazy cool” nano-slime abilities to escape the research complex, she went on the run, seeking out her super helpful BFF Ramona, who she was sure would able to provide all the assistance necessary to get started on her new career as a heroic nano-slime girl adventurer! Not only can she talk to spirits, she can employ them to aid her in a variety of tasks, from supportive utility to direct combat. Ectolionis, the Scythe of Specters- An ancient and fiendishly powerful weapon, Ectolionis is capable of slicing through flesh and armor with equal ease, but it is far more than just an implement for dealing death. It also imbues its wielder with several unnatural abilities, foremost among them a drastically heightened power to command ethereal beings of all kinds, the various shades and specters granting each sweep of the wicked scythe even more nightmarish power than it would normally possess and visiting harm upon those far outside its normal effective reach. In addition, its wielder also becomes partially undead themselves, their skin taking on a teal green pallor as evidence of this. They gain supernatural strength and endurance, along with a complete immunity to pain, with not even the harshest environmental conditions or most grievous wounds hindering them in the slightest. Obsidian Armor of Ortvonno- A set of enchanted armor, said to once have been worn by an ancient wight lord, it is imbued with impressive defensive properties. Like Ectolionis, it was also bestowed upon Staycee by Master Zine. History: In times of old, the members of House Sterling were minor retainers of the renowned House Lightsword, a fact that brought them at least a small measure of prestige. However, those days are long past. Now, the Sterling Clan is a miserable morass of lackluster thugs and pitiful failures, whatever strength or skill once resided in their line long since ground into dust by the relentless march of time. Staycee is no exception to this sorry fate, and, indeed, is viewed even by members of her own luckless family as little more than a sad joke. Thus, when the mysterious Master Zine appeared and announced that Staycee would make a most excellent potential apprentice, her kin were more than happy to send the eager girl off with the eccentric sage, hoping they would never suffer to see her again. This hope was a well-founded one, for Zine’s dwelling was located deep within the accursed land west of Castle Lightsword, the aptly named Field of Ghosts. Furthermore, the dwelling in question was little more than a crumbling shack and Zine himself was an insane necromancer who commanded many of the tortured spirits that haunted the region. Once, Zine had claimed to oversee an arcane academy filled with promising pupils, but now, he had only two potential heirs to his “vast and unfathomable” power- the brooding shadow witch Ramona Ralorin, and Staycee herself. Although such a bleak situation would bring most to despair, Staycee was so delusionally dense that she was positively elated to learn at the feet of such a proficient master of the mystical arts, and in such “crazy cool” surroundings as well. Indeed, that same warped perception of reality led her to believe that Ramona was her best friend in all the world, rather than a fierce rival who hated Staycee with every fiber of her being. As months turned to years, it became clear that, despite Ramona’s mastery of the umbral arts, it was Staycee who proved to possess the most innate talent for necromancy, a talent to rival even Zine’s own. Thus, it was to Staycee, oblivious, dimwitted Staycee, that Zine bestowed his ancient weapon, Ectolionis, the Scythe of Specters. With this arcane heirloom in her possession, Staycee would be able to fight the most formidable foes and command the fell spirits with even greater proficiency, or so Zine claimed. Meanwhile, the utterly furious Ramona vowed to put that claim to the test. She had learned early on that Staycee was painfully easy to manipulate, believing what anyone told her without question, and so, Ramona informed her “dear friend” that Master Zine had tasked her with a most important quest. She was to venture out into the Field of Ghosts and slay the great unnamable Elder Beast that stalked it. Excitedly setting out without a second thought, Staycee eventually found herself face to face with the undead monstrosity, whereupon she quickly discovered that even her amazing new powers were no match for its staggering might. Yet, just when it looked as though her tale was about to reach its terrible conclusion, she was saved by a heroic woman with hair of golden sunlight, eyes of blue as vibrant as the firmament, a sword as radiant as the dawn, and many other such overly-dramatic aspects. Thus, when this woman, this [s]special snowflake[/s] epitome of the heroic savior, reached out her hand and bade Staycee to join her company, the offer was readily accepted. Anything else: Ramona still craves revenge on Staycee for being chosen to succeed Master Zine rather than herself, and her hatred has only grown since her plan to kill the oblivious young woman failed. Even now she is plotting her next attempt to end Staycee’s life, and since Staycee still considers Ramona to be her best friend, she is completely unprepared for it…

Summary: A tactical triumvirate (trio of mind-linked clone/duplicate warriors) from the pre-cataclysmic hyper-tech civilization of 2000 years ago that was awoken from stasis when Solandian miners stumbled upon their underground complex. They are now trying to find their place in this strange new world. Name: Tactical Triumvirate S.T.A.C.-Y. Although they are highly intelligent, especially when it relates to combat tactics, their social skills are unsurprisingly non-existent, relaying pertinent information in as clear and concise a manner as possible. That said, they seem to have an extremely deadpan sense of humor, with their sarcasm almost impossible to distinguish from genuine seriousness. As for their reputation, most allies and neutrals would probably be intimidated or unnerved by them, while those enemies who survive seeing them in action would likely be utterly terrified. Abilities: Poly-Spectrumic Hybridium Assault Rifle- A heavy duty fully automatic rifle with attached laser sight capable of firing a variety of specialized Poly-Spectrumic Hybridium rounds, the precise compositions of which can be formulated mere seconds before the trigger is pulled, thanks to the mental link the wielder shares with the weapon’s machine mind (AI). Tealite Spectrumic Hybridium Powered Armor- Composed of reinforced Tealite plating, this armor offers full body protection from nearly every conceivable form of harm (including from kinetic forces/shockwaves and extreme temperatures). Its integral exoskeleton also greatly amplifies the wearer’s already enhanced strength and endurance. In addition, the armor comes with a holographic Heads Up Display, allowing battlefield data to be tracked even more efficiently. Magentaite Infused Hair- The constituent parts of Tactical Triumvirate S.T.A.C.-Y.’s hair has been infused with Magentaite, a synthetic mineral far more potent then current Magenta Pentium. As such, it allows them to combust their hair in order to create a protective aura of fiery energy, or unleash an AoE burst which can harm swarming foes, while remaining harmless to allies and other members of the triumvirate. Superhuman Physiology- Tactical Triumvirate S.T.A.C.-Y. is composed of three advanced, biomechanical constructs (bioroids), all of which boast physical, mental, and sensory capabilities far exceeding those of base, un-augmented humans. Triumvirate Mental Link- All constituent parts of Tactical Triumvirate S.T.A.C.-Y. possess an innate, un-jammable mental communications link. Moreover, each member can see what the others members see, hear what they hear, and know everything either of the others might learn, granting them unparalleled battlefield synergy. Indeed, such is their level of synchronicity and coordination that they move, speak, and act as if they were a singular individual. Advanced Combat Training and Embedded Tactical Dataset- Furnished with over two thousand hours of virtual combat sim training, and provided with the lessons learned from every major military engagement dating back over three millennia, Tactical Triumvirate S.T.A.C.-Y. is able to perform the three basic functions of combat (observation, analysis, and response) in a matter of milliseconds, while remaining completely cognizant of the full strategic puzzle, their place in it, and the necessary action they must take in order to accomplish the solving of it. History: Over 2000 years before the present day, the military might of [DATA CORRUPTED] was unparalleled. Yet, sensing a great conflict brewing on the horizon, one which would shake the world to its core, the brilliant, if eccentric, Doctor Zinestine was tasked with creating the ultimate infantry combat unit. By all accounts, he succeeded. Yet, before his creation could be put into mass production, the world was engulfed in [DATA CORRUPTED], and the only prototype was placed into stasis field hibernation at [DATA CORRUPTED]. There they remained for over two millennia, until a Solandian mining team, desperate to access a suspected vein of Pentium, ventured deeper underground than ever before. In those darkened depths they discovered the still mostly intact facility, and, more importantly, Zinestine’s creation- Tactical Triumvirate S.T.A.C.-Y. Now, their discovery is learning all it can about the new world it has awakened into, while simultaneously preparing for combat against a massive invading army that seeks to engulf its new home in the fires of war. These enhancements grant her an edge both inside and outside a Framewerk. However, they also raise her natural aggressiveness to sometimes dangerous levels, potentially causing complications both in and out of battle. Warrior- Stacy is a brawler through and through. She is capable of pushing her Framewerk beyond its normal limits by channeling that fighting spirit into it. Because of this, she deals and takes damage equal to one level higher than her Framewerk’s weight class. Thanks to years of experience on the violent streets of New Sydney and several (illegal) tactical neural augments, she is fully proficient in a variety of CQC techniques, although she also fights dirty, willing to do whatever it takes to win. After all, war has no rules, and neither does she. Always ready for a good fight, Stacy will never refuse a challenge, especially against someone she considers to be a worthy opponent. Showtime- Stacy’s Framewerk was clearly conceived as an undeniable engine of destruction. As such, and with her enthusiastic approval, Doctor Zinestine has illegally modified its weapons in various experimental and highly-dangerous ways so that they might unleash the maximum possible amount of carnage. The Primary Weapon System of Stacy’s Framwerk has a wider area of effect, deals more damage equal to one level higher than its weight class, and can be fired without line of sight or even into the midst of allies without loss to accuracy, at the cost of also hitting allies. Once per battle, she can overclock, overheat, overcharge, or over-everything about her weapons and fire them all at the same time for maximum critical damage in a very wide area. However, doing so will jam or damage the weapons for the rest of the battle. Perks: Enhanced Uniform- An upgraded version of her incredibly comfy and stylish racing outfit, Stacy’s [s]plug suit[/s] pilot uniform puts the ones worn by most other pilots to shame. Not only does it look and feel amazing, it provides a surprisingly high level of protection for something so form fitting, and comes with all the extra cutting-edge augmentations Project Grand Slam’s state-of-the-art R&D center could provide (including a modded version of Stacy’s favorite video game for when she’s waiting for the real entertainment to start). Athletic- Thanks to her various augmentations and intensive training, Stacy’s body is a pinnacle of the human physique, capable of running a marathon or wrestling a bear. Although she hasn’t participated in formal sports, she did win The Slag Pit’s bare knuckle free-for-all several years in a row. This physical prowess provides some benefit to her Framewerk, like moving with the increased speed of a lower weight class and dealing out the stronger melee attacks of a heavier weight class. Personality: Lorenzo’s program might not recruit psychopaths, but Zinestine’s is a different story. That’s not to say that Stacy is a homicidal maniac, looking to murder her teammates and allies, but there is definitely something not quite right with the gleefully violent young woman. Fierce and intense, frequently sporting an unhinged grin and manic gleam in her eyes, Stacy can come across as quite intimidating, and that’s before you witness her brutally aggressive piloting style. However, she’s actually quite friendly, often telling jokes or providing enthusiastic encouragement, and the pranks she’ll sometimes pull are all entirely good-natured. That said, where the Cruxi are concerned, she’s exactly the utterly insane living nightmare she appears to be. Background: Stacy grew up on the city-covered surface of New Sydney, a world located just past the edge of humanity’s core territory. As such, while the planet was heavily populated and industrialized, it was also a hotbed for illegal activity of all kinds. Not being lucky enough to be born into wealth, Stacy ultimately gained fame and fortune by doing what came naturally to her, namely, fighting and racing. It didn’t hurt that she also found both of these things immensely enjoyable. While winning brawls against various high-profile challengers was lucrative enough, it was her extraordinary skills on a hover cycle that made her a legend. Indeed, it wasn’t long before she was being called the queen of the underground anti-grav racing circuit. Yet, as thrilling as all this was, Stacy yearned for even greater excitement. She would soon find it when she was recruited to join Project Grand Slam, an officially nonexistent, top secret Framewerk development initiative outside the auspices of Professor Lorenzo’s own experimental Framewerk program. Based on Tartarus Station, an off-the-record R&D facility orbiting a black hole, Grand Slam was the brainchild of Lorenzo’s arch-rival, the eccentric Doctor Torvic Zinestine. The basic concept was simple. Two new Framewerks, employing cutting-edge, highly experimental technology born from the fusion of captured Cruxi tech and the pinnacle of human science, would act in tandem to place any opponent into an inescapable no-win situation. Once a suitable pair of pilots was found, they would be mass-cloned, while their Framewerks would be mass-produced, with the ensuing unstoppable legion bringing the war to a swift end, by placing the entire Cruxi civilization between a larger version of the same hammer and anvil that would obliterate every last one of their combat units. Unfortunately, finding pilots capable of handling such experimental Framewerks had been no easy task. Indeed, the qualities required were so extreme, that many believed no human could ever pilot Zinestine’s radical creations. As one part of the chosen pair, Stacy would pilot Scylla, the offensive “hammer” of the duo, her aggressive nature, proven compatibility with numerous high-grade genetic enhancements, and skill with anti-gravity piloting making her perfectly suited for the bizarre Framewerk’s in-your-face combat style. For her part, Stacy found piloting Scylla the most rewarding, exciting, and just plain fun thing she’d ever done, and she couldn’t wait to move from practice sims and test runs to actual combat. Yet, despite those initial tests being exceptionally promising, Project Grand Slam was not to end in success. With the loss of Scylla’s companion unit, Charybdis, during a test of its most highly experimental system, the project was shut down. Shortly after, the discredited Zinestine vanished without a trace. Even so, Scylla had proven to be an effective unit, and it wouldn’t do to mothball a viable Framewerk. Thus, both it and Stacy were reassigned to Fortress Ship Solaire, where they would join Professor Lorenzo’s Framewerk program. Since this means she’ll finally have the chance to engage the Cruxi in actual combat, Stacy couldn’t be happier. Notable Deaths or Missing People: Ramona Ralorin, Stacy’s partner in Project Grand Slam and “best friend” (although, in reality, Ramona found her to be utterly insufferable). She went missing along with her Framewerk, Charybdis, when it suffered a catastrophic malfunction during a test of its highly experimental (and highly unstable) warp vortex teleportation system. Although most believe that both Ramona and Charybdis were utterly annihilated, Stacy herself is not among their number, and she continues to hold out hope that she’ll see Ramona again someday. Doctor Zinestine, the head of Project Grand Slam. He mysteriously disappeared shortly after the closure of the project (and shortly before an investigation into his various questionable decisions and less-than-legal methods could begin). For her part, Stacy couldn’t really care less about what became of the eccentric scientist. After all, it’s not like whatever crazy things he might or might not be up to will have any impact on her, right? Additional information: Stacy is very competitive and loves to challenge others to armwrestling and eating contests. However, her most unusual and unexpected challenge is to play a game of chess. Not only is such a traditionally intellectual game a surprising choice for someone as decidedly unintellectual as Stacy, but any who accept her challenge will soon discover that her way of playing is rather… unique, to put it mildly.

Framewerk Name: Scylla Appearance:

A very unusual Framewerk, to put it mildly, Scylla possesses no legs, treads, or any other visible forms of locomotion, instead relying on advanced anti-gravity technology. It also lacks a traditional body, being composed of a massive head, from which sprout a dizzying array of techno-tendrils. Each of these is then tipped by a smaller head, much like common depictions of its namesake mythological monster. Weight Class: Medium Framewerk Type: Frontliner. Scylla was designed to be at the spearhead of any attack, the hammer to smash the foe against Charybdis’s anvil. Now, with the loss of Charybdis, Scylla’s squad mates will need to serve that role. That is, if Scylla hasn’t completely annihilated said enemy on its own. * Scylla receives a bonus to its weapon damage equal to two levels higher than its weight class when fighting at closer ranges. Primary Weapon System: Hyperflux Energy Jaws (Shining Fingers)- This weapon system generates energy from the ultra sharp Zinethonium alloy teeth of the Framewerk’s various heads, which can be used to greatly amplify the melee damage inflicted by each chomp, or fired as beams (with the energy generated by a single mouth’s worth of teeth combining to form a single beam, like the main weapon of a certain spheroid technological terror). It can even be employed defensively to repel attacks by forming small energy barriers in front of each mouth, although this is seldom done. However, while it has high destructive potential and versatility, prolonged use of the system puts mental strain on the pilot. Stacy doesn’t seem to be particularly bothered by it, but that might change after she suffers a debilitating aneurysm during combat. Secondary Systems: Extreme Boosters- These boosters allow the Frame to travel at triple their regular speed when activated. To increase ease of mobility, the Frame has a set of fins that can be adjusted to increase or decrease drag and subtly alter flight paths when the boosters are active. Repeated use of the boosters risks overheating and/or crashing violently. Muscle Memory Operations Recall Precision Generator (MMORPG)- An augmentation system based on an onboard computer than saves and stores data on maneuvers, and calculates variations on maneuvers as well. These are triggered when the pilot begins a maneuver, removing latency and allowing the Framewerk to move far faster than should be feasible. Observers might mistakenly think that the Framewerk itself possesses reflexes. Because of the importance of reading the pilot's intentions, there is a complex control system within the Framewerk that gives the pilot 'free' movement, though still restrained by a harness system. The actions of the pilot internally are replicated by the Framewerk, with internal shock sensors that prevent the pilot being thrown around during maneuvers and combat. The system self-improves through simulation and repetition, which allows it to gather more data on the same movement pattern ahead of time to the point of master-like precision. Phase Shift- A system based on an emerging technology, and the first of its kind. Reverse-engineered from classified Cruxi technology, as well as information gained from captured Cruxi, this technology is seeing its first days out in the field. The Phase Shift is currently so advanced that it only works with Framewerks capable of handling highly volatile and dangerous materials. Even then, the pilot must be specially trained to allow them to employ it in battle. Phase Shift is capable of being used in two different functions: Alpha- Allows the whole Frame to temporarily shift to an intangible and invisible phase. This means that it can't attack and can't be attacked, is invisible, and able to move through walls or other Frames. However, this only lasts for a few seconds before dropping the Framewerk back into existence. However, the pilot is also unable to see during this period as the displays will simply have nothing to broadcast. Beta- The Frame can Phase Shift the matter around it, or even with self-damage to the Frame, to create a barrier in front of itself to deflect an incoming attack. This barrier only materializes long enough to block the damage before disappearing, and needs to be activated by the pilot once they are aware of the incoming attack. Due to immense strain in both energy consumption and on the pilot, neither of these abilities can be used simultaneously. A switch between modes may only be done once per turn.

Name: Stacy Stiches Reality Plenum of Origin: Crystallis Class: Peasant Girl/Undead Construct Appearance:

Stacy looks like a small 13 year old girl, with a slight frame, somewhat eerie yellow eyes, and long, bright pink hair. Her most immediately noticed aspect, however, is her oddly colored skin. The majority of it is teal green, while patches of purplish skin are stitched on in various places. Personality: Stacy was always a kind and sweet natured girl, always being one to brighten even the darkest of situations, and that hasn’t changed with her reanimation as an undead construct. Not bothered by her new condition in the slightest (even going so far as to find the whole “painlessly removing body parts” thing exceptionally cool), she is often puzzled why anyone would ever be afraid of her. Unfortunately, this level of naiveté can be rather problematic, as her overly trusting nature means that she’s likely to believe what any person tells her no matter how obviously evil they may appear or how blatant their lies might be. History: Stacy grew up in the small farming village of Goodcrop. Due to its isolated location and lack of any strategic or economic importance, it was a mostly peaceful place, free from the threat of monsters that was so prevalent elsewhere. Thus, Stacy’s early childhood was a happy and uneventful one, playing in the fields and exploring the edge of the nearby forest and the rocky foothills of the mountain that loomed over the village. However, that all changed when an evil tinker in the service of Draygon named Doctor Zinestine took up residence in one of the mountain caves. Completely unbeknownst to the simple villagers, hidden deep within the mountain was a pre-cataclysmic research facility, one specializing in experimental biogenics techniques. Although much of the facility and its technology was heavily damaged, Zinestine was able to salvage enough of the advanced machinery to begin conducting experiments of his own, and for that, he would need test subjects. At first, he collected various animals, both wild and domestic, but soon the deranged doctor turned his attention to the procurement of human subjects. Using the horrific amalgamations he had turned the captured animals into, he attempted to abduct several of Goodcrop’s inhabitants. Thankfully, a group of heroes, including two of the legendary Oracles, were visiting the village, and they managed to drive off the chimeric creatures before they could claim any of the villagers. But Stacy was out exploring, and, on their way back to their master, the retreating creatures spotted her. Using a sonic blast to knock the girl unconscious, they carried her to Zinestine. Although greatly angered that his creations had only managed to procure a single meager subject, the deranged doctor wasted no time in beginning his experiments. Meanwhile, the heroes had tracked Zinestine’s animal abominations back to his mountain lab, and arrived to confront him just as he finished his work on the still unconscious Stacy. Defeating the sinister scientist after a hard fought battle, in which Zinestine himself assumed a more monstrous form, the heroes discovered that Stacy was still alive. Well, sort of. Having been woken up by the noise of the battle, Stacy was surprised to find herself in a strange lab, surrounded by strange people, although neither of these things, nor her own undead state, seemed to overly bother her. To the heroes’ great relief, it quickly became apparent that, despite her now significantly less than human appearance, Stacy retained her mind and personality. Unfortunately, when they took her back to Goodcrop, they found that the villagers were repulsed by poor Stacy, and refused to take her back. Disgusted by this, Stephanie, one of the two Oracles, assured Stacy that she would always have a place with her and her companions. Stacy, for her part, was overjoyed to hear this, as it meant that she would get to go on many more exciting adventures. Plus, her new powers were pretty great, too. Equipment: As a peasant girl, Stacy never had many possessions, and as she begins her new life in the company of the world’s greatest band of heroes, all she currently has to her name is a comfortable, if rather worn, set of clothes. Of course, in her current undead state she really doesn’t have much need for food or most other basic supplies anyway. Abilities: Undead Construct Physiology- True to her nickname, Stacy’s kinda… stitched together. It’s important to note that she doesn’t feel any pain from this, or from much of anything else for that matter. No longer fully “alive”, she no longer needs to eat, sleep, or do many of the other things regular people consider necessary for survival (like breathing). Lacking blood, internal organs, or even a central nervous system, Stacy is extremely hard to kill and can even fully recover from getting herself literally blown to bits. Lightning Generation- Stacy is able to generate bolts and arcs of lightning for offensive purposes, albeit with nowhere near the power or proficiency of an Oracle wielding the appropriate legendary sword. This ability is also quite new to her, and she’s still learning how to use it effectively (including improving her aim so she doesn’t accidentally hit an ally). RP Notes: Stacy’s story is one of making new friends, exploring the world, and discovering her place in it as a non-evil undead construct. Incredibly witty, and possessed of a vast vocabulary, she can easily counter any banter her students direct her way, her playful rebukes in any given verbal sparring session often going unrecognized and uncomprehended until nearly a full minute after they hit their target. She also enjoys employing sophisticated, complex, and esoteric language to not only confound her students, but also to serve as an impetus to encourage them to rise to her own level, so that they might compete with her on an even playing field. Another interesting quirk of hers is that she almost never uses contractions, preferring to speak in a formal and precise manner, even when she is telling a joke or dishing out verbal barbs at someone else’s expense. Bio: As a child, Stacy loved to read, but it wasn’t just the fantastical lands and exiting adventures that captivated her young mind. No, it was the very language itself, the way words could illustrate complex ideas and vistas alike, how they could both clarify and obfuscate in equal measure. In short order, her already highly advanced literary proficiency expanded into a desire to both explore and gain proficiency in other languages in addition to her native english. In High School, she was not only president of both the debate and literature clubs (an extraordinary feat never before attained by any prior student in her school’s history), but she was also a member of the societies for no less than three languages: Spanish, French, and Japanese, which, by that point, she had learned to speak with complete fluency. Of course, while Stacy was certainly focused and studious, she also had a mischievous sense of humor, taking great enjoyment from befuddling and embarrassing her less-insightful adversaries in debates and other verbal sparring matches. Making deadpan jokes and using clever wordplay were also favorites of the otherwise stoic young woman, earning her both ire and grudging admiration in equal measure. Yet, despite this cutting wit, Stacy was far from mean-spirited, only making fools of those she felt deserved being humbled. In fact, the only interactions she enjoyed more than matching wits with “supercilious simpletons” was helping others discover the joys language and literature. To facilitate this, she often volunteered her time at the local public library, reading to younger children and expanding their vocabularies by teaching them a new word or phrase each day. It came as little surprise, then, that, upon graduating, Stacy expressed her intention to become an english teacher. Over the following years, she taught at many prestigious schools and earned no small number of awards, yet still greater challenges called to her. Deciding she had accomplished more than enough in American schools, Stacy moved to Japan, where she took a position teaching english at Ayame High, in Tokyo. She was introducing her students to one of her favorite pieces of literature, Mary Shelly’s Frankenstein, when she was recruited by the fairy Lux to serve as reinforcements for her fellow teachers turned magical girls. And so Stacy’s time in Japan would become far more of an adventure than she ever imagined… Other: One of Stacy’s favorite tricks is to begin teaching a board game, only to come up with completely different rules, which she conveys with deadpan seriousness.

The Magical
Transformed Appearance:

Weapon: A Lighting Lasso, which, as the name suggests, is a lasso composed of crackling, mystic lightning. It can be used to restrain enemies (giving them quite the literal shock in the process) or pull allies from out of harm’s way (while causing them no harm whatsoever). It can even shoot bolts of lighting as a ranged attack, but only when twirled at sufficient speed. Magic: As a magical girl, Stacy is transformed into an Undead Cowgirl, a bizarre mixture of one of the world’s most famous undead monstrosities and the most traditionally stereotypical of American professions, with all the incongruous traits of both.

Undead Construct Physiology- One doesn’t have to look too closely to see that Stacy’s magical girl form is kinda… stitched together. It’s important to note that she doesn’t feel any pain from this, or from much of anything else for that matter. No longer fully “alive”, she no longer needs to eat, sleep, or do many of the other things regular people consider necessary for survival (like breathing). Lacking blood, internal organs, or even a central nervous system, Stacy’s magical girl form is extremely hard to kill and can even fully recover from getting herself literally blown to bits. Also, like the creature her magical girl form is based on, she possesses both superhuman strength and agility. .
Rodeo Queen- With the aid of her lighting lasso, Stacy can leap astride any animal-type wraith (or wraith construct), and, after several seconds, force it to capitulate and lie prone on the ground. It is important to note that, while she can’t be forced off by the foe she’s riding, another enemy is more than capable of doing so. .
Tumbleweed Twister- Twirling her lightning lasso with impressive speed, Stacy can conjure a mighty whirlwind, orbited by dozens of ball-lightning tumbleweeds. This tornadic terror can not only harm enemies directly, but also carry them away from allies, or helpless civilians. .
Ghost Herd Stampede- Stacy’s signature super move. When the going gets especially tough, she conjures a massive herd of giant, spectral cattle, which thunders across both land and sky to crash against any foe in its path like an ethereal tsunami of horns and hoofs.
Other: In her transformed state, not only does Stacy take on the appearance of a stitched-together undead cowgirl, she also takes on a stereotypical “Old West” persona. In this form she is loud, rowdy, and boisterous, her once formal manner of speech now a relaxed drawl, filled with common wild west slang (“Howdy”, “Yeehaw”, “What in tarnation”, and so forth).

The Mundane
Name: Stacy Sterling Reality Plenum of Origin: Mahou Shoujo No 30 Dai Age: 31 Appearance:

Personality: Cheerful, energetic, and occasionally something of a ditz, Stacy is also surprisingly focused where helping those in need is concerned. She remains upbeat and positive, but her seeming silliness should never be mistaken for a lack of seriousness. Instead, she uses her bubbly demeanor to put others at ease in stressful situations, be they coworkers or patients. Her kind-hearted and supportive nature allows her to make friends easily, and she is ever ready to leap to their aid whenever they might be in trouble. Backstory: Growing up, young Stacy’s favorite show was Necro Nurse Nina, which depicted the adventures of an undead magical girl who cheerfully healed and protected the inhabitants of Ghoulville from the maniacal machinations of Doctor Zinestine, who shattered their otherwise peaceful unlife by attempting to use them as test subjects in his deranged experiments. Yet, while she certainly loved the bubbly Nina, her favorite character was actually Doctor Zinestine, who was always more endearingly comical than genuinely threatening. Watching both employ their medical knowledge was fascinating to the young Stacy, and she eagerly gobbled up every new piece of information the post-episode educational segments provided. So inspired, Stacy knew from an early age that she wanted to devote her life to the healing arts. However, she also knew that she didn’t want to be a nurse. She didn’t feel like simply waiting around for patients to come to her. She needed to be proactive! As a first responder, she would be able to tend to patients as soon after their medical emergency occurred as was possible. Thus, she trained to be an EMT, proving surprisingly capable for such an otherwise ditzy young woman. In fact, it wasn’t long before she became a full-fledged paramedic, leading her ambulance’s medical team in a cheerful, yet still highly competent manner. It was while responding to a monster attack that she was given the opportunity to emulate her childhood hero to an even greater degree. While running to tend an injured child, she was caught in the blast of one of the monster’s attacks. Grievously wounded, she was certain that she was about to die, when she suddenly heard a strangely familiar voice call to her. Forcing her eyes open, she was surprised to see through her blurry vision that the small Doctor Zinestine figure she’d attached to her keychain had begun moving and speaking. At first, she thought she was simply hallucinating due to the massive amount of blood she’d lost, but it quickly became apparent that what was happening was very real. The Zinestine figure informed her that he had chosen her to become a magical girl, and if she agreed, he would give her the power to realize all her childhood dreams to the fullest possible extent. Accepting without a second thought, Stacy was transformed into a medic-themed zombie magical girl, and was overjoyed to discover that her new powers allowed her to help more people in less time then ever before (the whole “zombie thing” not bothering her in the slightest). Having her mundane form be completely healed when she changed back after the battle was simply icing on the proverbial cake. Other Details: One of Stacy’s favorite ways to help others relax is to tell them interesting (at least to Stacy) pieces of medical trivia. Such is the level of Stacy’s cheerful passion that she can make even the most inane details sound fascinating.

The Magical
Transformed Name: Stitch ‘Em Up Stacy Appearance:

General Powers/Theme: Zombie Medic Minor Powers/Attacks: Stitch Em’ Up! Stacy’s most commonly used and namesake ability, which she can employ multiple times in quick succession. She conjures a floating needle and thread which autonomously close up wounds and reattach severed limbs. The process is painless and the healing swift, with the stitches dissolving after only a few seconds and the wounded area completely restored. In a pinch, she can even use this offensively, like stitching closed a monster’s jaws, for instance. In such cases, the stitching will forgo the usual accompanying healing aspect. Quick Check Up Stacy uses her stethoscope to listen to a “patient’s” heart, while several spectral displays showing diagnostic charts, x-ray overlays, heart rate, and myriad other pieces of medical data appear in the air around her. This grants her full knowledge of whatever injuries or ailments might be affecting the patient in question, including poisons, hexes, and curses. Doing this to an enemy will reveal exploitable weaknesses or vulnerabilities. Med Pack Along with the usual mundane items one might find in such a pack, Stacy’s conjured magical med pack also contains bandages that can heal minor wounds and restore burned or corroded flesh, as well as medicine with unique properties, like dulling all pain, granting a stamina boost, replenishing depleted mana reserves, and negating the effects of poisons or hexes. The major limitation is that Stacy must apply/administer each of these treatments personally, meaning only one patient can be treated in this way at a time. Medium Powers/Attacks: Clear! Stacy conjures a defibrillator which she uses to restart the heart of a mortally wounded patient, while also stabilizing them, despite other injuries they may have suffered, until a more thorough healing can be attempted. This ability has several other uses as well, including waking up an unconscious ally, electrocuting an enemy, and even jumpstarting machinery. Triage Field After taking a moment to charge up her mystic power, Stacy presses her hand to the ground and creates a glowing circle in a 20 meter (66 foot) radius around herself, wherein large groups of patients can be treated by a team of spectral copies of herself. This field also repels any monsters that try to enter it, eating away at them with cauterizing spectral flames. Major Power/Attack: Surgical Strike! Her only purely offensive attack, Stacy conjures a giant, translucent, glowing scalpel, which she uses to make a precise and extremely powerful attack on an enemy's weak point (usually ascertained via her “Quick Check Up” ability). This attack is capable of piercing even the strongest defenses, although this is somewhat offset by its very limited range, with Stacy needing to be in extremely close proximity to her target in order to use it. Magical Weapon: Although mainly geared towards taking a supportive role in combat, in an emergency, Stacy can conjure a massive syringe with which to inject her foes with a mixture of virulent poisons and highly corrosive acid. Other details: Since she is basically a zombie in her magical girl form, Stacy doesn’t need to eat, drink, sleep, or do any of the other things living creatures must do to survive (that includes breathing). Even the most grievous of wounds serve as little more than a minor annoyance at worst (with her feeling absolutely no pain whatsoever from any injury), and if any of her limbs are severed, she can easily reattach them with her magic stitches.

The Mascot:
Name: Doctor Zinestine Appearance:

A plush keychain ornament of Doctor Zinestine, seemingly come to life, it’s something of a mystery just what he truly is, whether it’s the figurine spontaneously gaining some form of mystic sentience, a mystical being either possessing or assuming its form, or the actual character from the show (perhaps hailing from some alternate universe where the show is in fact reality) speaking through it. Regardless, Stacy doesn’t really give it too much thought, a decision that surely won’t come back to haunt her. Personality: Doctor Zinestine is pretty much what most people would expect from a Mad Scientist: loud, egotistical, and more than a little insane. Those would normally be less than endearing qualities, except for the fact that he takes the form of a small, plush, and cartoonish keychain ornament. In light of this, Zinestine’s grumpy arrogance comes off as more comical than caustic. Other details: In return for making her a magical girl, Doctor Zinestine has tasked Stacy with collecting data on as many monsters and other magical girls as she can, so as to broaden his knowledge base. Surely this is not even the least bit concerning, right? She wears glasses and favors casual attire, often with something of a “punk” aesthetic. Personality: Wild and carefree to an almost dangerous degree, Stacy is the complete antithesis of the highly focused and stoic natures that many people often stereotype those native to Siscia as possessing. Playful and mischievous, she never seems to take anything seriously, reacting to even the most dangerous situations with an amused smirk and an exuberant laugh. Utterly fearless, she seems to act as though the world is nothing more than an exceptionally exciting video game, and she is the invincible main character. Background: Stacy grew up as the only child of a fairly stable middle class family in Siscia’s industrial district. Unfortunately, stability wasn’t really her thing, and it wasn’t long before she had gained a reputation as a delinquent. She skipped classes, played pranks, and didn’t take anything in her very serious world very seriously at all. Most notably, Stacy had a love of art, and one of her favorite pastimes was graffitiing bizarrely abstract designs all across the district. They would all be painted over or washed away in short order, of course, but that only meant she had a fresh canvas on which to display all-new artistic creations. Disparaged by her family, her neighbors, and the police, no one expected anything to come of the young delinquent. Thus, it was a great surprise when it was discovered that she was one of the rare few capable of harnessing magic. In short order, she was contacted by NOI recruiting agents, who wished to run additional tests on her abilities. If they were deemed to posses satisfactory potential, she would be taken to Palmyra to attend Nova Lux academy where she would begin training as an official Ars Magi. Although she’d never had much fondness for authority or rules of any kind, Stacy saw all this as an opportunity for an exceptionally fun adventure. Upon arriving, she made no small number of new friends, with whom she went on no small number of exciting missions. She also caused no small amount of trouble with her various antics and numerous rule violations, but even so, even the most infuriated members of the school’s faculty were forced to concede that her exemplary performance in the field more than made up for her poor conduct. After graduating, her exceptional prowess led to her swift, albeit begrudging, induction into the legendary Wings of Justice. That said, her less than professional personality ensured that she would exclusively be assigned to field missions, rather than body guarding VIPs, something which suited the adventurous daredevil just fine. Her exceptional magical aptitude even brought her to the attention of the eccentric researcher Doctor Zinestine, who fitted her with a prototype Ars Armgaus enhancer. Most recently, she was assigned to bolster the defenses of Nova Lux’s home city of Palmyra in preparation of a particularly intense Nox Storm, an adventure she’s only too eager to begin. In addition, her hair grows considerably longer (her ponytail stretching down to just past her knees), gaining neon pink highlights in the process. The lenses of her glasses become tinged neon pink and she wears a number of unusual accessories. Elementum: Paint. Elementum Abilities: The magical, neon pink paint that Stacy can conjure copious quantities of with but a thought is mainly formed into hardened paint bullets for use in a variety of magitech firearms, but usually her micro SMG pistol. The paint itself is harmless to humans (aside from minor bruising due to the kinetic force of the impact and the obvious problem of getting covered in paint), but has extreme corrosive and weakening properties when used on Voids. It can also make them easier to spot, especially ones that possess stealth abilities. An adventurous sort, she loves going to new places, meeting new friends, and having fun with said new friends. Kind-hearted and supportive, she’s always happy to lend a hand (or even a whole arm) to anyone in need. Easy-going and friendly, almost to a fault, it takes quite a lot to actually get her angry (and woe betide anyone who manages to do so).

Always an adventurous girl, Stacy loved to go camping and explore the wilderness around her home in the pacific northwest. Even before graduating high school, she had begun taking trips to different parts of the world that caught her interest, alongside her equally adventurous uncle. After her graduation, she took her first solo trip, a backpacking adventure through Europe, culminating with hiking in the Swiss Alps. It was while exploring a secluded mountain valley that she came upon an old castle with an array of strange apparatuses protruding from its various towers. Intrigued, she approached the structure, its massive front doors opening to grant her entry with little effort. Once inside, she found that the castle was abandoned, although it was still filled with many fascinating objects, furnishings, and artifacts, some appearing quite valuable indeed. But the most fascinating discovery of all came when she entered the innermost chamber. It appeared to be some sort of laboratory, filled with still-bubbling beakers, odd machinery with glowing screens and flashing lights, and a variety of other incomprehensible scientific paraphernalia, from tesla coils to liquid-filled vats. But what most claimed her attention was the spinning-gyroscope-like contraption at the center of the chamber, in front of which was a table with a large book set upon it. As she approached the mesmerizing machine, a rising hum began to fill the once quiet air, while a vortex of crackling energy began to grow ever larger at the heart of the device’s rapidly spinning mechanisms. Before Stacy could even begin to understand what was happening, the entire castle was engulfed in a massive detonation of otherworldly energy, blowing the structure completely apart, and Stacy’s body along with it. However, while many sensible individuals might justifiably assume this to be the end of the adventurous young woman’s story, such was not, in fact, the case. Although the rest of the castle and its contents had been destroyed, one item remained utterly unscathed: the solitary book upon the central table. Pulsating with profound power, the tome opened itself and bathed the rubble-strewn valley in an eerie, aquamarine glow. With a pulse of transcendent energy, Stacy’s various pieces and parts were reassembled, and the girl reanimated into an unnervingly patchwork, but still recognizable version of herself. Not really understanding all of what had just happened, Stacy had only a few seconds to take stock of her current situation, before being confronted by the cause of the devastating detonation: a swirling vortex of midnight black energy, which quickly coalesced into a monstrous, humanoid form, gathering various clumps of debris, machinery and apparatuses into itself in the process. As the shadowy amalgamation loomed over her, its unblinking, yellow eyes fixed upon her own patchwork form, Stacy had only a moment to act, before the creature lunged for her with murderous fury. Always quick thinking, and quicker acting, it didn’t take long for Stacy to discover the impressive physical abilities her new form had to offer, easily dodging the massive monstrosity’s clumsy attacks, while inflicting several well-placed blows of her own. Although the ensuing engagement was fierce, its outcome was never in any doubt. Soon enough Stacy had used her newly discovered lightning powers to deal the composite creature a killing blow. No sooner had she defeated the creature, then she was approached by a pair of strangely attired young women who claimed to be representatives of something called the “Grand Magistrate” (or was it “Ministry”?). They informed her that she had become a Magical Girl, and that she would be able to receive proper training and guidance at [s]Nova Lux Luna Nova[/s] Marrywell Academy (Stacy was never very good at remembering names), a special school in London attended exclusively by Magical Girls. Finding the prospect of this new adventure too exciting to put into words, she eagerly agreed to accompany the pair back to London. Finding herself in the interesting position of being a bit too old to pass as a student, while also not exactly having enough experience to be a teacher, she was assigned to one of the more veteran faculty members as sort of an apprentice (or teacher’s assistant). While learning about magic in a classroom setting was certainly interesting enough, Stacy found that her greatest enjoyment came from field exercises and, to a slightly lesser extent, Miss Valeria’s various training room simulations, the latter of which she particularly excelled at. Plus, the fact that the high-strung Miss Valeria was particularly easy to prank certainly didn’t hurt. As for her thoughts on the Grand Ministry, well, an easy going girl like Stacy doesn’t worry too much about things outside her immediate vicinity. As such, she doesn’t have much of an opinion on the Grand Ministry one way or another, neither criticizing, nor praising it, but simply using the resources it offers to become a better Magical Girl so that she can go on even more exciting adventures.

Grimoire: Title- [s]Frankenstein[/s] Zinestine Classification- Altered Legend
Mary Shelly’s Frankenstein, widely considered to be one of the first (if not the first) Science Fiction stories, is a tale possessed of massive worldwide influence. Indeed, the very concept of a Frankenstein’s Monster has indelibly immersed itself in the consciousnesses of people from all corners of the globe. Be that as it may, many people of modern times, were they to read the original 1818 novel, would be amazed to find just how much it differs from their likely preconceptions. For example, the exact processes of how the Creature (not monster) was created are notably absent (and with it the declaration that “It’s alive!”), as is the character of Igor, so central to most modern envisionings and retellings. For another, the Creature, so often presented as shambling and dimwitted, was actually quite nimble and quick, while being possessed of a remarkable intellect and vast vocabulary. And, of course, contrary to popular belief, the Frankenstein in the title refers to (mad) scientist Victor Frankenstein, the Creature’s creator, not the Creature himself, (not unlike how many people commonly confuse the super hero Captain Marvel with Shazam, the wizard who gave him his powers). But I digress. For you see, none of that is important when it comes to Stacy’s Grimoire. Yes, not even the name. There are, of course, nearly endless reimaginings of the story of Frankenstein, and this particular alteration of the tale is even more extreme than most. Zinestine is the story of the eponymous Doctor Torvic Zinestine, a mad scientist living in a world of mad scientists, his quest to become the greatest of his deranged, egotistical kind, and, most importantly, the construction of his greatest creation: a young woman killed by one of Zinestine’s many deadly contraptions who the good doctor not only reanimated but also granted super human, super scientific powers to. The story concludes on something of a cliffhanger, ending just as the maniacally cackling Zinestine is about to send his wondrous creation forth to do his bidding, but things can only continue to improve from there, right? Oh, and the reanimated young woman in question’s name is actually Stacy, of all things. What a strange coincidence.

Superhuman Physical Prowess- Not only does Stacy possess the impressive superhuman strength and toughness one would expect of a Frankenstein’s Monster knock-off, but she also boasts impressive speed and agility as well, something shared with the monster’s original 1818 novel incarnation. Undead Construct Physiology- True to her nickname, Stacy’s kinda… stitched together. Lightning Generation- Stacy is able to generate bolts and arcs of lightning for offensive purposes, usually accompanied by sound effects added by herself (“kazap!”, “kazam!”, “kachow!”, and so forth).
Misc: Stacy has a rather… interesting way of playing board games, especially chess. In particular, lightning, which can be used for various purposes, from direct offense to entrapment via lightning cages. Stacy can even employ it to create portals, although their destinations are often someplace other than what she intended. • Background: Growing up in the tiny town of Littleville, USA, Stacy Sterling used to think that the only adventures she’d ever have would be confined to books, shows, and video games. After all, her quiet and peaceful home town was the epitome of mundane monotony, its most exciting event in the past year being when a washing machine overflowed at the local laundromat (It wasn’t her fault, honest!). However, that all changed when the Fire Nation attacked. No, really. Stacy was staying up late during a midsummer’s storm (she couldn’t sleep anyway with how loud the thunder was), nostalgically rewatching Book 2 of Avatar: The Last Airbender, when, just as the Fire Nation’s giant drill was poised to shatter the great wall of Ba Sing Se, a massive tree branch shattered her bedroom window after being struck by lightning. As if this wasn’t shocking enough, through the opening strolled a cat with a TV screen for a head. While most people would be stunned into silence by these events, Stacy was not most people. And so, when the strange cat-like creature asked, in its own bizarre way, what her greatest wish might be, the delighted girl replied that she wanted to go on an adventure, excitedly explaining in far too much detail all of the various types of fantastical adventures she had dreamed of going on. Before she had even gotten halfway through her hyperactive ramblings, she found that she’d been transformed into a cute, witch-themed Magical Girl, just in time to battle the storm Miseria hovering just beyond her broken window that was poised to bring her new adventure to an abrupt end (by killing her). After defeating the creature, along with the help of a multi-armed Dark Magical Girl named Razor Weaver Ramona, Stacy’s grand adventure as a Magical Girl finally began. Since then, she has been to many interesting places, met many interesting people, and fought many interesting monsters, often alongside her awesome new BFF, Ramona (the feeling is most assuredly NOT mutual). Now, if only she could manage to visit Geopolis’s famous snowplow museum, like she’s always dreamed about… • Sample Post:
“HOLY FREAKING CRAP!!!” Stacy exclaimed as the loudest peal of thunder the storm had unleashed thus far was accompanied by an oak tree crashing through her window, taking a good chunk of her wall with it. Pausing the video she’d been watching, she crawled across her bed to take a closer look at the unexpected visitor. “This is just like what happened in that one baseball movie with the magic bat! Though I don’t think that tree crashed through the window after the lighting bolt hit it…” she added with a thoughtful frown. “And I don’t really remember there being any cats in that movie either…” Indeed, strolling along the tree branch and into her room was a small cat. Strangely, this second unexpected visitor seemed to be completely dry, despite the torrential downpour occurring just beyond the shattered window. Yet, that fact was overshadowed by the greater oddity of the creature having what appeared to be a static-covered tv screen in place of a head. While most normal people would be at least mildly unsettled by such a sight, Stacy was just thankful that her parents were currently away on business. For some reason, they really hated cats. “Hi, little guy!” Stacy told her strange visitor, giving the creature a cheerful smile. “Did you stick your head inside that tv because you were, like, afraid of the thunder?” she inquired. “You really don’t have to be scared of it, since there’s totally no way it could ever hurt you!” she told the tv cat. “Well, I mean, lightning totally can hurt you, but that’s a completely different thing!” she added with a ditzy giggle. Then she finally noticed that the cat was shaking its “head”. “Huh? So, like, you aren’t scared of the thunder?” she asked, before leaning in to get a closer look. “Wait, is that tv, like, actually your head?! Holy freaking crap! That’s, like, crazy cool! Are you, like, an alien, or maybe the creation of some kinda mad scientist type person?!” she asked excitedly. “Oh! I know! You’re one of those cute mascot dealies from those magical girl shows!” At this, the tv cat nodded. “Oh wow!” Stacy exclaimed. “This is so crazy cool! So, like, can you make me a magical girl and send me on crazy awesome adventures and quests and junk?!” The creature nodded again. “So, like, how does it work?! Do I have to strike a pose or say some kinda speech, or put on some super special jewelry or make up, or—” Her ramblings abruptly halted when the tv cat’s static-filled screen suddenly cleared to reveal a single word set against a white background- ->Wish<- “I… I gotta make a wish?” *nod* “Okay!” Stacy declared, shooting a fist into the air. “Then I totally wish I was a crazy cool magical girl who goes on super awesome adventures and stuff!” Looking back down at the tv cat, she continued, “So, like, are ya gonna transform me now?! Do I get to decide what my whole transformation sequence thing is like?! Cuz I kinda want it to be super cute but also crazy badass, too! And—!” Before she could finish her ramblings, her excited voice was cut off by a roar of thunder. Looking up, Stacy saw through her shattered window a menacing figure. It was composed of lightning bolts, if lightning bolts themselves were formed by the darkest of shadows, and in the time it took her to blink, the creature sent crackling tendrils of actinic doom shooting towards her. “Holy freaking crap!” Stacy exclaimed, leaping away with preternatural agility. “W-What the heck is that guy?!” Yet, even as she voiced this question, she couldn’t help but notice that her pajamas had changed into a cute, witch-themed outfit, while her hands now grasped an energy-sphere tipped, bow-bedecked staff. “Holy wow! I really am a magical girl!” she cheered while leaping out of the way of another crackling blast. “Though I’m kinda disappointed I didn’t get a super sweet transformation sequence thing,” she added, even as the deadly thunderbolt was absorbed by the crackling sphere on the tip of her staff. “OMG! Do I have lightning powers, too?! That is so freaking cool!” Pointing her staff at her monstrous foe, she called, “Super zappy zappy zap!” before unlashing a crackling torrent of mystical lightning at the creature. While its bolts were a baleful bleached white, hers were a brilliant neon blue, and while her staff seemed capable of absorbing its attacks, its body seemed decidedly less capable of doing the same with hers… Upon being struck, the sinister silhouette gave voice to a crackling cry of pain as it was sent reeling away, its twisted form convulsing in clear distress. “Yeah!” Stacy cheered in exultation. “Take that, ya big jerk!” Yet, while it may have been wounded, the creature was still very much in the fight, and as soon as it recovered, it began charging up a powerful attack of its own. “So, wanna try again, huh?!” Stacy called out defiantly, while readying her staff to block whatever the lightning monster was preparing to throw at her like a batter preparing to hit a home run. “Okay, pal! Gimme your best shot!” However, before that shot could be fired, the creature was suddenly ensnared by several tendrils of blood red webbing. An instant later, and the attack’s source revealed itself: a dark-haired young woman with four arms and a series of stitches covering much of her bare skin. “Finally…” the new arrival said with tired, deadpan sigh. “I was starting to think I’d never catch this dipshit…” “Oh wow! Are you another magical girl?!” Stacy asked eagerly as she ran over to the multi armed young woman, utterly heedless of the downpour. “Thanks so much for the help!” she added with a big grin. “Those extra arms ya got are crazy cool! I just freaking love the Frankenstein’s monster/spider-person look ya got goin’ on! It’s super edgy, but, like, in a good way!” “Uh, yeah, that’s nice,” the other girl replied, sounding pained by simply being in the presence of someone as cheerfully hyperactive as Stacy. “Well, it was, uh, nice meeting you or whatever,” she added as she grabbed the ensnared lightning monster and prepared to depart. “I’m gonna take this thing back to my employer now and get out of this damn rain.” “Huh?” Stacy inquired. “But, uh, aren’t you gonna, like, kill it?” “I wish,” the other girl replied with an annoyed sigh. “But my employer wants to study it, and since these things tend to disintegrate when they get killed, I need to bring it back alive.” “Oh, well, then I should, like, totally go with ya!” Stacy declared. “Ya know, in case it breaks free!” “It’s not going to—” the other girl began. “And plus, I think we make a really great team!” Stacy added, cutting her off. “I concur,” a new voice agreed. Looking in its direction, Stacy saw that an arachnid-shaped drone had arrived and begun hovering nearby. “Of course you do…” “Now now, Ramona, don’t get testy,” the voice emanating from the arachno-drone chided. “I believe this girl will be a most excellent asset to our cause. After all, you never would have captured this Super Miseria without her so fortuitously distracting it.” “Oh wow!” Stacy cheered as she bounced over to the drone to give it a closer look. “This thing is, like, crazy cool! And Super Miseria are what these monster guys are called?!” she asked, rapidly shifting her attention to the ensnared creature. “Oh, and your name’s Ramona?!” she asked the other girl, whirling around to face her. “It really suits you, cuz it’s, like, super elegant, but also kinda creepy but not in a bad way, y’know?!” “Razor Weaver Ramona,” Ramona clarified in her usual deadpan, crossing one set of arms under her chest while glaring at the hovering drone. “And the guy speaking through that drone is my employer ‘Doctor’ Zinestine,” she added, making air quotes for the word “doctor”. “Oh wow! A doctor?! Stacy also enjoys video games and one of of her favorites is Gearmantic Hearts, with her favorite character from said game being the brooding bishonen bioroid Finnegan Fabricant (she thinks he’s crazy handsome and his tragic backstory makes her want to give him the biggest hug). She often wears light purple robes, covered in star patterns. Indeed, bright, five pointed stars seem to surround her at all times, and from the top of her head protrudes a distinctive, glowing, star-tipped antenna. Background: A native of the Lunar Cities of the Harmonious Archipelago, Staceella was always quite different from her fellow Lunatics, being seen as something of an eccentric oddball even from an early age. Despite her parents’ attempts at raising their ditzy daughter in the traditional ways of their people, Staceella’s unorthodox mindset and general incompetence ultimately made her an innocently disruptive presence wherever she went. Indeed, it was only due to the vast forbearance of the Lunatic academic system, and Lunatic society as a whole, that her antics didn’t get her expelled from the Lunar Academy, or the Lunar Cities entirely. Of course, Staceella was often blissfully unaware of the discomfiture she evoked in others, simply enjoying life to the fullest and preparing to fulfill her dream of becoming a renowned explorer. In pursuit of this goal, she has taken several trips to the far corners of The World With No Name, usually dragging her best friend, Ramona Redmoon, along for the ride. Personality: Staceella is an extremely cheerful and vivacious young woman, always eager to embark on her next big adventure, or misadventure, as is all-too-often the case. Her hyperactivity, paired with her extreme obliviousness, gullibility, and various other physical and intellectual deficiencies lead to her being the source of no small number of problems. While she, herself, is almost always able to escape these minor (and not so minor) catastrophes completely unscathed, thanks to her supernaturally good luck, others in her vicinity are rarely so fortunate. That said, she isn't in any way malicious. She doesn’t try to be a walking disaster area, it just sorta… happens… Skills/Abilities: Rudimentary Knowledge of Lunar Magic- A decidedly less than stellar student, Staceella has only the most basic knowledge of lunar magic, and she often fails to cast even these minor, 1st level spells correctly. That said, they can sometimes come in handy, often in the most unexpected of ways. Lunatic/Shimmerling Hybrid Physiology- Staceella’s current state as a unique, hybrid entity has granted her several beneficial abilities. First, her suction-cupped fingers greatly assist her when climbing, allowing her to even scale sheer surfaces with minimal effort. Second, her skin is now exceptionally durable, making her nearly impervious to most forms of physical harm, while also granting her an innate resistance to several types of offensive magic. Lastly, an entire swarm of Shimmerlings is now attentive to her every wish. Shimmerling Swarm Affinity- Staceella’s bond with her resident Shimmerling Swarm, manifested physically by the star-tipped antenna sprouting from the top of her head, allows her to communicate with the small, glowing creatures whenever she might have need of their assistance. For their part, the Shimmerlings are only too happy to swiftly carry out her requests. In fact, so attuned are they to their host’s needs and emotional state, that they often act to aid her entirely unprompted. Complete Poison Immunity- Thanks to a poison-turned-panacea she unknowingly consumed, Staceella is now utterly immune to the effects of all known forms of poison. The Stars Are Right- Staceella has always possessed exceptionally good fortune, her lucky stars seeming to always be in alignment. Every misfortune she has inadvertently caused, or was planned against her, has always been to her ultimate benefit, and any attempts to cause her serious harm are almost certain to fail (often in a particularly ironic manner). Equipment/Inventory: Student Moonstone Wand- A basic, standard-issue student’s wand, used to aid in casting beginner-tier lunar magic spells. Beginner’s Guide to the Basics of Lunar Magic Tome- Contains a selection of introductory lunar magic spells. Goals/Objectives: Staceella’s dream is to become a world-renowned explorer who has lots of exciting adventures, travels to lots of strange places, and meets lots of interesting people (none of which should be particularly difficult in a world like hers). Then she plans to write and illustrate a story about her adventures (just as soon as she learns how to do both of those things). Other than that, she just wants to have fun! Backstory: Staceella’s early life was filled with a seemingly endless array of comical mishaps and misadventures that caused her beleaguered parents no small amount of stress and anxiety. Despite their best efforts to guide their daughter in the ways of Lunatic society, it soon became painfully clear that Staceella was the cluelessly chaotic antithesis to her people’s typically calm and contemplative nature. Although she attended the Lunar Academy, as was customary for all young lunatics, she was always a poor student, one displaying far more proficiency in causing disastrous disruptions than in any of her studies. Even so, Staceella never intended to cause harm, the chaos resulting from her various ditzy antics merely being an unintended byproduct. In fact, even some of her harshest critics couldn’t help but concede that she was a very friendly and cheerful young lady, one who always tried to brighten the mood of all around her (even if those attempts often ended catastrophically). Because of this, she was on friendly terms with most of her fellow students, although her best friend was the cold and calculating blood moon mage, Ramona Redmoon. Of course, this friendship was entirely one-sided, with Ramona actually despising the ditzy girl to such an intense degree that she tried to murder her several times (not that Staceella was ever perceptive enough to even realize this). Unfortunately for the blood moon mage, Staceella’s incredible good fortune caused each of these attempts to not only fail, but often to backfire spectacularly. Indeed, most of Staceella’s current bizarre abilities and bodily augmentations are the direct result of an attempt on her life gone hilariously awry. In particular, her status as a seemingly one-of-a-kind Lunatic/Shimmerling hybrid was a consequence of Ramona’s second most recent attempt at eliminating her “BFF” (wherein she tricked Staceella into purchasing, and eating, a Stellar Shimmerling Swarm Sphere from Doctor Zinestine, an eccentric visiting merchant from the Celestial Archipelago, which is not to be confused with the Harmonious Archipelago), much to the blood moon mage’s extreme displeasure. At least, if that average 16 year old girl had unnatural teal skin, gleaming yellow eyes, and painfully bright neon pink hair that extended to her waist. Her usual attire consists of a modified schoolgirl uniform with neon pink highlights, over which she wears a white jacket with (you guessed it) neon pink highlights, and decorated with a number of strange patches. She also wears a spiky black hair band with a neon green stripe and has a fondness for bizarre, oversized earrings (many of which were never intended to be used as earrings in the first place).

PERSONALITY TRAITS
“Like, some people might say I’m a little quirky, but that’s, like, just one of my super awesome charm points!” [sup]▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔[/sup]
An exuberant, fun loving, and “trendy” girl, Stacy comes across as something of a ditzy valley girl (or gyaru in weeb speak), but that impression will change quite a bit if anyone actually talks with her for any length of time. You see, for all her impressions of being hip and popular, Stacy is also quite strange, having no small number of mannerisms and interests (a love of sci-fi, fantasy, video games, comics, and other such “nerdy” things) that are very much at odds with her initially presented persona. However, that’s not to say she’s hiding her true nature with some sort of superficial mask. Far from it. In fact, the only such mask is the preconceived, stereotypical notions of others, with Stacy herself effortlessly blending and openly embracing these otherwise incongruent aspects of her personality, blending them into a single annoyingly, but also endearingly, quirky whole.

BACKSTORY
“So, ya, like, wanna hear my crazy cool origin story thing?! She ate up the exploits of the MAVERICKs, SHINING’s Justice Riders, and even prominent freelancers like Oros the Swift, as if they were slices of bubblegum pizza (her favorite kind). After all, the idea of going on exciting adventures, fighting all sorts of “crazy cool” people, and even saving the world from various sinister threats was immensely appealing. It wasn’t so much that she wanted the fortune and fame that came with being a fighting champion or hero of humanity, she simply thought it would be a lot of fun. Unfortunately, her small size, pitiful strength, and non-existent martial arts ability meant that attempting to actually become a Nomad herself was nothing more than an exercise in futility. Or so most people might’ve thought. As it happened, Stacy wasn’t among their number. She had long had the often problematic habit of latching onto any new fitness or health craze she came across, so when she saw a dubious add in a decidedly less than reputable magazine for a miracle drug called Zenith, promising the ability to “actualize her apex” and “unlock hidden reservoirs of inner potential”, she placed an order right away. When it arrived a few days later, Stacy wasted no time in trying out her questionable purchase, completely unconcerned by the possibility that she just might end up killing herself. After all, the drug’s creator, Doctor Zinestine, had personally guaranteed a 100 percent chance of success with absolutely no side effects of any kind, and it wasn’t like an individual who looked like the most stereotypical mad scientist ever would lie to impressionable and desperate customers, right? Needless to say, the fact the drug did end up killing her wasn’t really too surprising. What was surprising, was the fact that she came back to life only a few short hours later. Well, maybe “unlife” would be a more accurate description, as she was essentially a reanimated corpse. She soon discovered that her heart no longer beat, she didn’t need air to breathe, her skin took on an unnatural, sickly teal color, and her eyes glowed an unsettlingly vivid yellow. She also discovered that she now knew Kung Fu (woah), along with a host of other martial arts, at an innate level of skill that rivaled most masters. And then there was the nearly superhuman strength and speed, not to mention the lightning powers. Yes, despite the whole “being a zombie” thing, Doctor Zinestine’s miracle drug had done exactly what he’d promised it would, and now an elated Stacy could finally drop out of boring school and begin her exciting life as a crazy cool Nomad! Over the next several years, Stacy participated in numerous fighting tournaments across the country, and eventually, around the world, fighting villains on the side whenever she encountered them. She’s been having the time of her life, and when she heard about the big fighting carnival thing happening in Brazil, she jumped at the chance to participate, as it promised to be the most fun she’d had yet. Unsurprisingly, she couldn’t really care less about the fancy pet rock dealie being given away as the grand prize, although she had to admit, it did look like it’d make a sweet earring.

FIGHTING STYLE & ABILIES
“Stronger, faster, cuter!” [sup]▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔[/sup]

SKILLS & ABILITIES
“Like, I’ve got such crazy cool skills, my body should, like, totally be a registered weapon or something!” [sup]▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔[/sup]
Stacy knows Kung Fu (woah) along with a plethora of other martial arts on an instinctual level, having complete mastery of every one of their techniques without having trained a single day in her life. Also, while her undead nature makes her immune to pain, and unable to be killed by normally mortal wounds, she isn’t any more durable than an average person, and the loss of limbs (to say nothing of her head) can still considerably impair her combat ability. Finally, Stacy is something of a ditz, and has the unfortunate tendency to be entirely too trusting, even of those whose unsavory motives would normally appear blatantly obvious.
