Brilliant. Cali was happy to help decent people from dying a horrendous, crushed death but she wasn’t the biggest fan of being lit up for the whole world to see. What if one of these people had seen her wanted posters? Before the spotlight, she was at least a sexy red tiefling somewhat shadowed while she shouted orders. Then again, it probably wasn’t going to matter much. There was a fair chance all of this was for nothing and they were all going to die. But if they did survive, it might end up a pain for her down the line. Though she could definitely get used to being called boss by hot, buff women. ”Next–” She narrowed her eyes, trying to look for any other signs of life. Then she spotted a hand out through a small gap in debris, desperately trying to claw their way out. It looked like someone small… Maybe they’d been protected from being crushed by something or someone, only to be trapped anyway. ”There, a–” She was briefly distracted by a loud, ear piercing whine, and looked down to see Dev underneath her. The fox jumped up against the stone in an attempt to climb up herself, failing miserably. But it was better than staying down here, where strangers used her as a scarf or tried to step on her! It was a rare situation where Cali didn’t take the time to bring Dev with her when she scaled a building. But shit was too urgent right now… ”Sh, lie there, be good.” Cali ordered her animal companion. With a gentle whine Dev actually obeyed, for once, lying down at the snow directly underneath Cali. Cali’s attention snapped back to Mannie, hand sharply snapping forward to point out the trapped child or halfling. ”Someone’s stuck under rubble there!” She couldn’t see anyone else, and digging this person out might take too long with just one person, so her head snapped towards Latrom. ”Oy, big guy. Over there, help her dig that person outta the rubble.”

The Waystone Inn, Roof Outfit: Worn by someone adept at catching (fish) Interactions: Ransom [@Atrophy] Lunar Phase: Half Moon [Day 5 of 29]

Eil didn’t hesitate to knockback the drink in front of him, grimacing the moment it touched his tongue. He managed not to spit any of it out at least. God, it was rank. Was this what land dwellers liked to drink? They had strange tastes. He was completely unaware of the hypocrisy of that thought- as someone who regularly ate raw fish straight from the sea and enjoyed it, he probably had the strangest taste. He managed to continue to be cool as a sea cucumber as he took another drink, definitely not to hide the stupid smile as the hot blond- no, Ransom- flirted back at him. He was flirting, right? He had to be. While there were a lot of things Eil was oblivious to, this one he had experience in. Sure, a lot of people on the surface saw the slightly webbed hands and blue skin and were completely turned off. On the other hand, in his town his hands hadn’t been webbed enough and his skin was a bit too pale. But he’d been quite the catch at wizard school, even though he wasn’t technically a wizard. His brand of magic and connection to the moon caught many people’s eyes, and wizards tended to be more into intelligence than looks. At the end of the day, Eil was smart and handsome enough if people didn’t mind the aquatic features. He knew his worth. Just, he didn’t expect it from a stranger as handsome as this! His eyes shone with excitement even as he schooled his expression into a calm smile, reaching out to grasp Ransom’s offered hand. He didn’t shake it, because handshakes hadn’t been part of the rough and tumble surface education he’d gotten on the streets in the past few years (and wizards tended to do intros with mage hands not real hands). Instead he squeezed it and held on for a little too long, leaning forward with a smile that practically mirrored Ransom’s. ”I am right, so our time together will be very long.” Eil said, emphasis making it sound flirtatious rather than a burgeoning obsession tinged threat. He was ninety-nine percent sure he was right. Well, maybe eighty- or sixty percent. But still, he would be reaping that reward. Just, he had to think of that one, and he hadn’t bought himself much time with that line! There was a pretty obvious answer, but Eil was fairly confident he didn’t need to ask for a night together off the back of a fun little bet. With mutual attraction, that would happen anyway! So he should ask for something that people normally got annoyed about. ”Answers!” He blurted out, before coughing and reigning himself back in. He continued as if that outburst hadn't happened. ”I’m a very curious person. I don’t know anyone in this town, and everyone’s so stingy with their words. So if we survive, let me ask you… About yourself. I have so many questions-” about surface life- “about someone as interesting as you. You’re clearly a trained fighter, which I know nothing about… What I’m saying, is I’d like to get to know you better.“ He added another wink for effect. Phew. Good save. Totally passed it off as just flirting.
