Kim heard what some of the people in the group proposed to get out of their current predicament, most of what was said she did not like at all. Trying to grief the locals isn’t what she signed up for. Granted, she didn’t sign up to be taken captive, be subjugated to hard labor, and dropped off at some desert part of a planet either.

She nodded when Dusk gave his opposition to the plans and provided his alternative.

“I have to agree with Mr. Dusk,” she said. “I doubt trying to pose as bounty hunters or government tax inspectors are going to net us enough money to find transportation and leave the planet. Might as well try and be friendly the locals while we can. I don’t need to have an actual legitimate reason for bounty hunters to go after us.”
