At a glance, Nukkelina could be mistaken for a cosplayer when in her human form, wearing an elegant frilled dress from ages past, and carrying a delicate little umbrella. She has blue twintails, and her red-tinted eyes convey a sense of deep melancholy. This sense of uncanniness is only further emphasized when in her Esper form, resembling an oversized Victorian porcelain doll: her limbs are jointed, and she has a complexion that is almost sickly in how pale it is.

Nukkelina is never alone as an Esper, and is accompanied by a terrifying entity she calls “Sir Pekka Puupää Esquire”: a tall, imposing artificial being wearing the outfit of the Victorian gentry, complete with a top hat, he possesses giant sharp claws dripping with poison, and a white mask only featuring misaligned multiple circles for some approximation of eyes. It is unknown whether the being acting as a guardian and main weapon to Nukkelina is merely a mindless puppet controlled by near-invisible strings, or a sentient magical creature letting itself be guided by the Esper. Nonetheless, it is deceptively agile for its large size, and strong enough to battle even the fiercest of opponents.

In a times long past, Nukkelina was a normal girl with a normal life who liked to visit her uncle, who was a renowned carpenter who liked sculpting toys to sell for the children in the village. One day, she happened to find a puppet of his, stashed away in the attic: the puppet was cursed, and stole the girl’s “heart” before it ran away. Now feeling an emptiness inside, the magical curse had granted her the potential to obtain the power of an Esper. Now, she travels the earth, looking for the evil toy that had robbed her humanity.[/hider]
