Field Commander Daniel Graves Obsidian Dynamics Research Facility Utah Loading Bay Five tech zombies had swarmed over the unfortunate point man. The Acheron shooter having managed to put a burst into one's chest before he had been pulled down by metal grips. The shot tech-zombie seeming no worse for the wear as it removed the shooter's firing arm with a wet ripping noise. The shooter's screams dying on his throat as two of the abominations pummeled his upper body with steel fists. By that point two of Kilo team had taken positions and hosed down the pile of cyborgs and their dying comrade. One of the tech-zombies falling instantly from a neat burst of gunfire that removed it's forehead. The four remaining tech zombies having stumbled with surprising speed at their new foes. Overwhelming the nearest one's panicked attempt to backpedal while he hurriedly drew a sidearm to replace the empty rifle. The other shooter jerked to cover his partner but flew back as a body hit him. The dead corpse of the press crew's cameraman having flown through the air with unerring precision from the yellow jump suited goliath. The second shooter heard the screams of his partner as he was pinned beneath the corpse. He was still trying to free himself when a tech-zombie appeared over him and went to break his neck. The sound of crumpling metal echoed through the bay as the goliath moved with surprisingly agility for his bulk. Resembling a gorilla as he scrambled up a pillar to leap to the top of a trailer sitting within the bay. Adopting a perch and scanning for something with his electric blue gaze. Annoying the gunfire that strobed; some rounds hitting him and some pinging off the trailer. It's muscles tightening in anticipation for its next pounce. Below, the tech-zombies had began their jerking dash for new victims. The surviving members of Kilo responding with more gunfire. Some directed at the shambling cyborgs. Some at the goliath. Some at perceived threats in the shadows. It was to this scene Graves walked into. The third man into the room as Lima flowed in. Their gunfire joining the din.
Stokes' eye's widened in shock as the pointman was pulled down. He watched in horror as the pile of bodies was riddled with bullets. It seemed like all three were now still corpses. He trained his muzzle on the lurching body and was ready to fire, trying to ensure he didn't hit the second man. When the body flew across the warehouse and into the second man: Stephen let off a sharp burst, hitting the tech-zombie side on. The first expanding round ricocheted off the metal shoulder plate, spalling off in every direction. The next three rounds pierced it's neck and found a meaty target in it's lower head, sending viscera spraying through the chaotic room. The body slumped forward onto the shooter who just managed to draw his sidearm. He had stopped screaming and swore loudly as the body fell onto him. A member of Kilo team ran full tilt at the zombie that was leering over the second man. The man had a look of horror on his face, as he feared his imminent death. The large trooper shoulder barged the zombie from the side and knocked it out of the way. He leapt back and raised his muzzle. But the second man had managed to snap himself out of his stupor and put three rounds from his sidearm into the zombie's skull. The intervening hero was not in a good place, unfortunately for his bravery. Lima team entered, Stokes had just put a calculated round through the face of the fourth zombie and the Lima pointman placed a burst into the centre mass of the remaining zombie. It stumbled back, and he shot another burst. This time he clipped the side of it's skull with a spray of gore. It hit the ground with a thud that was drowned out by shouting and gunfire. The body lay convulsing as all attention in the room was drawn in horror to the Goliath. It launched itself from it's perch and soared through the air. The pair from Kilo team that had just fended of their assailant cringed in fear, it was flying towards them. It landed on the hero, knocking him down and crushing his sternum. He raised his mammoth fist and clamped it around the second man's ribcage, completely dwarfing him. His arms were free but he was being squeezed so violently there wasn't much he could do. His handgun clatter to the ground. Stokes fired two shots before his magazine emptied. He slid his hand down to his thigh and drew his pistol. He dropped his slung PDW and swiftly gripped the revolver with both hands. He lined up the crude sights with the beast's head and fired a hefty .44 magnum round, praying it would crack it's skull and bury itself in the right places to make it go limp.
