Daiki almost laughed, until he noticed more of the slimy projectiles coming towards them. "Wipe yourself off later! There's more incoming!" He yelled as he yanked Grizel by the arm and ran, dodging the projectiles and taking shelter directly under one of the catapults. A few landed close enough and a few spots of slime dotted his pants, but he had avoided a direct hit and that was more than he could say for most of the students. "Was that a test or a prank? What kind of twisted teacher does this right before the welcoming ceremony?" Daiki cursed as he scanned the path ahead for any more traps. He doubted they would be that easy to see, but he didn't want to be faulted for springing another one on the rest. He turned to Grizel and smiled sheepishly. "Sorry about that, emergency and everything." He apologised politely. He didn't honestly have much on him that could help clean her off, and he was loathe to use up one of his spare clothes or towels not knowing if the faunus girl would return them. Still, she had been nothing but friendly. He supposed he could returned the favour. He opened up his small trunk and pulled out a small rag he had intended to use for cleaning his stuff anyway. "Here, use this." He offered with a kind smile.
