Yeah, that girl definitely seemed fun. Maybe a bit ditzy too, though Jack couldn't say she disliked that. She also couldn't quite remember the other woman's name after being called by name herself; Bi-something, it was on the tip of her tongue. She was going to blame it on the adjustment period for not recalling it at the moment - she was sure she'd remember soon enough anyway. As Bi-something roped the third in and started their parade down the hall, Jack dragged their feet for just a moment. Her nostrils flared shallowly and she tilted her head up. Scent was heavily linked to memory, hadn't she heard that somewhere before? And now there was something else besides the names of the girls with her that was niggling at her brain. What the hell, was she that tired this morning that her mind still needed waking up? Jack craned her neck over her shoulder as the scent began to fade, then made no subtle show of leaning over to sniff her new pals to see if it was them she was catching whiffs of. If not perfume, incense from another room? Patchouli, maybe? By the time the trio hit the beach, the familiar smell had been pushed to the back of Jack's mind. There were more pressing matters at hand. She let out a low whistle at the sight of the ocean and sand. So this was Caesar Beach now? What a transformation. It was almost sad to think about it going back to the sorry state it had been in before all this started. Almost. Since Alice and Bionca had split up pretty quick after arriving, Jack stood by her lonesome with her hands on her hips and gold tinted sunglasses hung around her neck. This was her first visit since arriving in Pax Septimus, so she was gleaning a lot of information from just listening to the other espers speak. ...most of it was unpleasant information, but still. Jack raised an arm to stroke her chin with her thumb and index finger, trying to get the cogs in her brain to start turning faster. Obviously this Dan guy wasn't trustworthy, but he also seemed to be an idiot. It took one to know one after all. So Jack figured he probably wasn't intentionally misleading anyone when he said he didn't know where the people disappearing had gone to. And at the very least he was telling the truth about there being some late arrivals, because there was at least one glaring absence among the people gathered that Jack could see. As for everything else, she wasn't sure. She did sneer at the goat and spider behind their backs as she turned away from them-- "Try harder!" she shouted as the beach balls being tossed finally sailed towards her, only for Jack to intentionally move into their path to hit headers back at the rowdy espers. After the third headbutt in a row she let out a satisfied puff of air from her nose and placed her sunglasses onto her face. With a tap to the frame the anti-illusion enchantment activated. There was still more Jack wanted to know about the situation, like was this a true metamorphosis or just a paint over? Alright, let's start seeing how deep this magic goes.
