Morgan was the last one out of the room, quite a bit later than the others. It was no wonder Max had to come knocking. But when the door finally opened, she walked out in her new outfit that was more befitting her status as a mage than a Princess. With her new staff in hand, and a book Merlin had given her floating in the air behind her, it seemed either she was regaining some of her passive control over magic... or maybe that book just floated on its own. It wasn't out of the question considering who gave it to her. It was a wonder it didn't talk too. In her other hand was chained necklaces with crystals that seemed to radiate a warm light. It wasn't just a warm glow like the sun, but the light from each crystal seemed to warm the soul just being near them. And around her own neck, was a much larger one than the rest. "Sorry Max, I was trying to finish these before everyone left. Listening to them last night, they are all so scared of being separated. So I wanted to find something that could help. The book Merlin gave me had a spell in it but, I needed to figure out this whole magic thing before I could cast something so specific." Holding them up, the gems each shined with a light that was more than just a glowing trinket. The light felt radiant, pure, divine even. It was the light of a soul, not just some magic trick. Max likely didn't know much about magic, let alone the specifics of such a spell, but he didn't need to to know that these gems were made from Morgan's own light, from within her. By time they went to eat, everyone was already gone. But she couldn't just, not eat. Still, she rushed herself a bit. She didn't imagine anyone was going to wait around for her. It wasn't too much time later that everyone was gathering at the landing pads where they would separate into their different groups to head to different worlds. When everybody was there, she spoke up for the first time since the fight the day before. "I know everybody is nervous about being separated. I know you all haven't been apart like this before, and you don't know when you will see each other again. So I... made something for everyone." Holding up the necklaces so everyone could see, one for each of the islanders. "I still don't fully understand my magic, or the things I do with it. But, these should let everybody stay connected. You can't talk through them, and it's not perfect. But if you look into the crystals, and you focus on each other, then you will be able to sense each other, and get a glimpse of whoever you are thinking about. It will temporarily connect your hearts, no matter how far apart you are. You can feel each other, so you know that whoever you think about is alright. It only works with others who wear them, so unfortunately it can't really help anyone find Alias. But, so long as you hold onto these, it means you don't ever have to truly be apart." Were any of them to hold the crystals up to their ears, they could even hear them making a faint song. Fortunately they could only hear it if they really focused on it... otherwise such a song might get a little bit annoying after a while. Even if it had an, unnatural calming effect to it. She had one for each islander, and one larger one around her neck. She had earlier that morning had someone give one to Zac. It was the first one she made. Given that he intended on trying to support them when needed, she figured it might be useful if he had a way to know if any of them were in distress. Putting a hand on the lager crystal on her chest, she said "So long as this crystal stays intact with me, then all of the others will be connected to each other through it." What she didn't tell them, and what Daisy likely knew, was that this sort of magic had created the crystals from her own heart's light. And the reason she had her own larger crystal, was that she was constantly feeding that light, and therefor a portion of her magic, into the crystals. The song that could be heard was quite literally the sound of her heart. It would limit her somewhat in her magic abilities, but she decided it was worth it to help everyone stay connected. "The crystals should also act as a minor healing trinket, but, don't rely on it. They can help you get your energy back after a fight, but it's not going to keep you standing in a fight." That was, unless she made it so. She didn't really want to tell any of them that this was actively costing her a portion of her magical reserves, or that she could send her power through the crystals to heal them if need be. Doing so would allow her to heal anyone who needed her help, even if she was worlds away. But this method would take much more of her mana than if she were there in person. A singular, simple cure sent through the gems would cost her the same amount of energy as if she cast ten of them on someone standing right in front of her. Nobody needed to know that though. Except Daisy, who she hoped would keep quiet about it, and understand that she had decided the risks involved were necessary, and worth it. Besides... supposedly she was some great Mage with a massive reservoir of magical potential. All she had to do was unlock that potential, and the impact these necklaces had on her abilities would be a drop in the bucket... probably. With the explanation out of the way, at least the need to know parts, she gave every islander one of the necklaces... and tried not to let it show if it effected her when they each connected to each other.
