Griff
From out of nowhere he had been given a bottle of water and then wrapped into a blanket. Coming to think of it, he was slightly thirsty, but a blanket? He couldn't sleep until he had taken a show- The hand of Stella had grabbed his head while he was pondering on what held priority, showering or eating food. "H-hey! Let go of me you oversized rustbuck-" Griff blinked. 'Wait what? No headpat for her? Why not? Is she sick?' his anger momentarily travelling to confusion, then even more so seeing Rhylaen approaching. Oh so she wanted a piece of him aswell! Well he'd show her- wait what? She was thanking him. The winged little alien. Rhylaen was thanking him. She looked like she was serious. Griff got a flustered face and crossed his arms quickly and raised his nose slightly upwards. "Whatever. It's not like I wanted to save you or anything. I just were close… allright?" He said in a stuttering manner, his words leaving his mouth before they could be checked and properly arranged. "You are a comerade after all..." He said in an almost mumbling hushed manner, his arms unfolding and his index fingers pressing against one another while his mouth took on a pouty appearance. "Now get off my back. I gotta watch Arrish avenge me-" He had then watched how Mema-Ka had left Elora in the open field to be destroyed. Bug and Mema-Ka's frames and that silly squid got all blown up and Bug got shot. He had closed his eyes momentarily and lamented on failing to get in time to save Elora. His failure was complete. And that Mema-Ka person would have to explain his reasonings to him later or it would be punching time. Then Griff had watched how the remainder of the battle were going, for a moment he forgot his dislike of the greenhaired man who had left his disciple Elora behind, and instead began to cheer for him when he saw him try to make a move on the Guinevere. Then that hope vanished. Crap. But Ava got taken down aswell. Arrish! Arrish would do it, he would save the day. He had to. Otherwise. Griff had swallowed and felt the sweat sliding down his neck. Otherwise Sparks would end up the victor. Griff stood up and blinked and followed the ongoing battle. "Get up Arrish.. come on... don't do this." Griff muttered and tried his best at sending telepathic messages towards Arrish, or part what remained of his fighting spirit. He had seen it happen in the galactic ranger episodes versus the final boss. And this was definitely it. The noble knight facing the underhanded nerd! 'Get up Arrish! Oh you've gotta be shitting me! Duvey! Get him! Come oooooon! Noooooooooo!' He screamed within himself watching how Sparks in his Guinevere dispatched the Horst. It had to be a bad dream. A nightmare. "Uso... you gotta be shitting me." He made a galactic ranger word without even thinking about it, his eyes widened, blinking and trying to comprehend what had just happened. 'Oh by the gods of biceps... this can't be true. Someone has to pinch me. I need to wake up right about now. There's no way I live in this reality!' Griff sunk down on his knees, his arms falling to the sides and his jaw dropping. Sparks had won the simulation battle. Had he even gotten a scratch beside from that little Maser gun? Griff's own Shiva had been torn to pieces and he had failed. And here was this guy. This guy! He was just like his rival back at the academy, always being ahead of him, no matter how hard he trained. 'Shiiiiiiiiit! How could this happen?! Arrish! You had one job! How will I be able to forgive you for this? Martial arts masters of old, give me the wisdom to-' That's right. Whenever the students would suffer a defeat they would drink sake. He needed a ton of that right now. How could he face anyone of them now? He had nothing on Minerva to celebrate... he had failed Aurora and Elora… and Jackie. While Arrish had obviously failed him as far as he was concerned. Griff slammed his now tightened fist into the palm of his other hand as he connected the dots. 'It has to be Arrish fault. Somehow. No... that's not fair. It's mine too. We must both repent and cleanse our bodies of this very bitter defeat. I will get you next time Sparks! Just you wait! This had to be a moment of sheer luck! Wait… maybe it was his hacking bot that did all of that? He was probably cheating and Lorenzo being an old nerd wouldn't know the new nerd stuff.' Griff's eyes sparkled momentarily as if he had been given a godsend revelation. But even then. He needed to grab Arrish and drink until he could wipe out the memory of the day completely. He was not a drinker, but in this case he would make an exception. The celebration steak… how could he enjoy a steak now? He was not worthy to bite into it.
