A N I M A L S
visuain- Sefu’s trusted companion is a chestnut Destrier warhorse larger than typical breeds of its kind. Visuain was stolen from his previous owner after Sefu realized the ill treatment the prized warhorse received and once the two were brought together, they never looked back. As a Destrier, Visuain is trained to kick, bite, and trample enemies and is also less afraid of combat situations than your run-of-the-mill stallion. Sefu treats him as his partner often conversing with the animal when no one else is around to speak with and takes great care of the steed constantly keeping up maintenance on horseshoes, his mane, and his body. Visuain appears as an armored horse with steel pieces locked together with straps. Of course, Sefu also owns saddle bags and stores his belongings and sword on Visuain’s person.

hand-to-hand combat- Once belonging to an illegal unit of black ops mercenaries, Dravian was trained in multiple hand-to-hand styles in order to protect himself as a last resort. While he doesn’t relish in the use of these techniques, he is trained to execute efficiently and incapacitate threats non-lethally as quickly as possible to avoid a prolonged fight.

infiltration- During his time in the Solomon group, Dravian specialized in infiltrating locations as stealthily as possible. His title was infiltration specialist and he ended up using these skills to become a master thief after he was excommunicated. He is adept at entering and breaking out of locations quietly as the need arises.

Charming- Though Dravian looks to be a loner, quite the opposite is true. He is a sociable man and once one knows him they come to understand that he also possesses a silver tongue of sorts. Whether by training or his natural persona, Dravian comes off charming and charismatic in his dialogue and he sometimes uses this to his advantage when gathering information or just simply trying to make a friend.

W E A K N E S S E S
firearms- Although he was part of the Solomon group, Dravian has only used handguns and even then he was not proficient with them. His knowledge of firearms are lacking and so too is his practice with them. As an infiltration specialist, his goal was to never be caught so he never had to be in a situation where a firefight might occur.

attachment issues- Dravian is prone to falling hard and fast for people whether that be in friendship or romantically and this leads to problems with his decision making abilities being blinded by the attachment he feels with those he cares about. His judgement is easily clouded and can lose sight of logic. 

problem averse- Dravian is the type of man to run away from his problems rather than face them head on. He did it when he was excommunicated from the Solomon Group, he did before he served his prison time, and he did it again by running to Pine Ridge to escape the problems he’d rather not deal with from a life he was forced into.

H I S T O R Y
Dravian Forscythe is a man with a complicated past. Originally hailing from a two parent household, he was ripped from his home at the age of twelve after his emotionally abusive mother finally reported the beatings she received from his alcoholic father and child protective services got involved. From there, a long string of foster homes followed Dravian around like a shadow. He routinely would be placed into care only for the foster family to report that his klepto habits didn’t fall in line with their values. Or that his consistent need to try and escape his new home was too much for them and the kids they already had. Or that his emotional disregulation was just beyond the line of manageable. Whatever the reason, a young ill-adjusted boy was passed around foster homes like a blunt to a posse. It only took four years for a young, sixteen year old Dravian to conclude he’d had enough. 

After running away from yet another foster family, he finally succeeded in getting what he wanted—stability. He was sentenced to juvenile detention after being arrested for breaking and entering. He thought his story would finally end in detention, but it was really only the beginning. After a paltry three months served, young Dravian was visited by a man only offering the name Mont and a supposed second chance at what he called a meaningful life. With no other options and a curiosity stronger than he would have liked, Dravian accepted Mont’s offer and found himself out of detention and whisked away to some undisclosed location within the span of one week. He was quickly re-familarized with his previous life. 

Routine beatings, emotional manipulation, instability, and mental degradation were the orders of each day all in the name of what Mont simply called training. He trained Dravian and several other boys around Dravian’s age relentlessly. Breaks were barely a minute, water was rationed out or used as a test of weakness, and rest was reserved for the dead. But Dravian survived. Moreover, he excelled. Having lived this kind of life up until he was twelve, Mont found that nothing he could throw at him seemed to faze the young, traumatized boy. As the years wore on and Mont pushed even harder, Dravian seemed poised to rise to every challenge. And it was on the even of his eighteenth birthday that the broken kid from the two parent household was inducted into the shadowy organization only known as the Solomon Group. 

Dravian carried out covert, black ops missions for the Solomon Group for the six years. His work took him all over the United States, but the parameters were always the same. Get in quietly, execute the mission, get out just as quietly. And Dravian was good at it. Not having been properly loved as a child, Dravian found himself hooked on the addiction that was love and praise and did everything in his power to garner as much as he possibly could. If Mont wanted it done, Dravian got it done and everything became as simple as that—results. At twenty four, however, things changed drastically. Dravian was caught breaking into a maximum security prison with the task of smuggling out a high value prisoner. Mont suddenly disappeared and the Solomon Group vanished into thin air. Dravian spent the next fifteen years in said maximum security prison after a swift trial that barely qualified as due process. 

After his release, Dravian only had one thought in his head. Get away. It was time to live the life he had been denied his whole childhood. He found a map, picked a place, and headed for the small town of Pine Ridge in South Dakota. Armed with nothing but a bit of cash, a motorcycle, and his wits, Dravian headed for Pine Ridge in the hopes that starting his new life would allow him to forget everything that came before. Mont, the Solomon Group, and his parents. The family that never seemed to want him. After arriving in Pine Ridge, it only took Dravian one week to realize that once again, he didn’t fit in. But this time that wouldn’t stop him. He worked enough odd jobs to become known as a floater. A guy that could get things done—whether legal or illegal—for the right price. Dravian didn’t like to think of himself as a criminal, but considering the hand life had dealt him, he suppressed his thoughts and embraced what his cards could buy him. And that was a life of making sure other people got the things they wanted. By whatever means necessary.

magic- Nelthea’s proficiency with magic is directly correlated to her tireless research into the occult and her study of spells, alchemy, and ritualistic incantation. She is not above others in The Circle, but for her young age she is at a higher level than she probably should be at considering her attitude towards things like work.

vivacious- Whether due to age or the very nature of her persona, Nelthea is a very lively and spirited type of woman. She brings the energy to any room she finds herself in whether through witty dialogue or sarcastic euphemism. Or sometimes a simple wink and a smile. No one truly knows for sure if her intent is to brighten people’s day or if this aspect of her personality simply sits under the umbrella of her more manipulative traits.

emotional intelligence- In a somewhat stark contrast to her actions, Nelthea has grown to be very emotionally intelligent. She is savvy enough to understand her own emotions in correlation to the emotions of those around her and she uses this skill to navigate social interactions in a manner that equates to emotional manipulation for the most part. 

W E A K N E S S E S
conflict / confrontation-For all her big talk and wild ways, Nelthea is very patently not a fighter. She doesn’t relish true conflict or confrontation and will immediately enter into survival mode when faced with it—which means she’ll usually run away as if to preserve her own life. Even in a conflict of purely conversational means, Nelthea prefers not to dwell too long in negativity and would rather leave the entire situation than properly work through anything at all.

Impetuosity- Nelthea is beholden to the sudden whims of her fleeting feelings. While she might be interested, and even entertained, by something for a while, that energy fades and it is replaced by a rash, impulsive energy that causes her to act without thinking. Often. She is prone to making hasty decisions and declining to think things through properly until they make sense.

phsyical strength- Owing to her petite build, it can seem like Nelthea quite literally has no physical strength whatsoever. Though she has some, she is far weaker than she ought to be. She is ill-equipped for physical tasks altogether and routinely avoids anything that requires her to reveal her general level of physical strength.

 By all accounts the Anders were a good, wholesome family. Marlon Anders worked the bar at the Pine Ridge Saloon slinging both spirits and life advice in equal measures. His conversational abilities were as renowned as his prize winning smile. Corina Anders spent her time in Harv’s diner working the tables and bringing out the prize winning smiles of her customers through her ebullient table side manner. The Anders were simply nice, kind folks that had been survived in Pine Ridge for three generations. What they lacked in financial wealth they more than made up for in being family rich and generously helping out wherever and however they could. It had become an old adage at some point, if you needed a hand you needed an Anders. The fourth generation of their kin seemed set to single-handedly change that perception, one misstep at a time. 

Nelthea Anders was quite the anomaly. She came from two hard working parents that worked even harder when they knew they’d have a daughter to raise in the only home they’d known for years. She’d come from the union of two down-to-earth individuals who didn’t understand the meaning of taking it easy or taking advantage. Unbeknownst to her parents however, Nelthea had also come from something else. Something ancient and regal. And when, after lying dormant until her twelfth birthday, magic revealed itself to Nel, her first thoughts weren’t all she could do to help Pine Ridge. Her first thoughts were of all she could do. 

Nel spent the next eight years poring over books filled from end to end with information on the occult, magic, and supernatural phenomena. These were the only years her parents would ever label her as studious. But Nel had a plan. She intended to learn as much as she could about her newfound potential in order to be able to wield it as proficiently as possible. Because one couldn’t truly start having fun until they knew what they were doing, after all. She studied the texts endlessly, often reading the words repeatedly until they were seared into her brain and then practicing the practical application until they were burned into her muscle memory. She learned about the crystals that amplified certain spells, she learned about ritual incantations she had no means to practice because she didn’t know anyone else who had magical potential yet, and she learned about alchemy and transmutation that could influence reality itself in small, yet sharp ways. It was all intensely thrilling for the teen as he dove headfirst into a life she came to believe she was meant for. 

It was when she was 20 she joined The Circle. A frequent customer of the Black Lantern Apothecary, Nel introduced herself to Sable Pritchard in the wildest of ways—by fucking up a simple levitation spell and bringing some of her wares crashing to the ground. While it was nothing but a random, fleeting decision to reveal her abilities to the owner of an occult store, the logic felt sound in her mind. If the store’s owner sold and curated occult wares, wouldn’t they be impressed by actual magic? It was a gamble that paid off somewhat. While she was on the hook for the damaged items, Nel learned about The Circle and found herself inducted into a sisterhood of witches and magic. She was overjoyed and showed her gratitude in the only way she knew how. 

Nel vowed then and there that The Circle would always own her highest respects, even if nothing else could, and the witches therein she’d always treat like sisters. But everyone else in the world only got a silent warning. One they asked for or intended to receive. Nelthea Anders, under the guidance of The Circle and Sable Pritchard, was unleashed onto Pine Ridge, reborn and renewed. After seven years of more extensive teaching, study of ancient texts, and practical application, Nelthea settled into her new role and simply forgot about her old one. Forgot that she was the daughter of two hard working parents that questioned her whereabouts and motivations in life every time they saw her. Forgot that she grew up and went to school with one Sutton Lockwood, a friendship that had defined her childhood until the divergence in behaviors drove a wedge between the two women. Forgot that she had come from a good, wholesome family and nicely built home to live and study with The Circle full time. 

Nelthea Anders simply moved on and into a new chapter in her life. And her new goal was simple. It was time to have fun. As much fun as possible. Because when you knew what you were doing, why would you simply settle for anything less?
