This is my character so far; reactions to the other characters and classes (and perhaps more) are in progress. She has a few abilities that are out of the ordinary, but with hard limits and harmful side-effects to them; the goal is to make a powerful Psychic-type specialist and trainer without being broken. Let me know what you think. Without further ado, presenting:
Quotes: 'Love is a language that transcends Time and Space and arises in spirit; but, love without a spine, and without wisdom, is worse than worthless. Therefore, be knowledgeable and wise as Uxie, as valiant and powerful as Azelf and, finally, and most importantly, as loving and passionate as Mesprit.' 'I firmly believe that Science is Worship, a greater knowing of Arceus and His creation; through both intellectual rigors and passionate exploration, a deeper connection to and affirmation of the Divine may be experienced for the good of all.' 'The Way of the Professor is a long and winding one, full of challenges and pains, yet insights and wonders; the dual academic and spiritual journey into the heart of the Psychic-type has taught many things - many, I wish I never learned, yet at the same time would never take back.' 'The training of the Psychic-type has been full of perils and difficulties; mastering yourself before mastering others is key, not only towards them, but towards life in general. Facing inner trauma, overcoming laziness in the crucible of discipline and looking darkness in the eye has been a harrowing, yet rewarding, journey indeed. Indeed, without the pains of life, I wouldn't burn nearly as bright as I do today; I learned, the hard way, that nothing good in life comes for free - and that is true of becoming a Pokémon Professor as well.' Full Name: Harmonia Grace Willow Age: 21 Year at the Institute: First Favorite Color: Gold Thesis Subject: 'Wisdom, Power and Love; the Threefold Influence of The Lake Trio on Human and Pokémon Spirit; Knowledge, Valor and Compassion'. Harmonia Willow's Thesis is extremely ambitious; it is three Theses in one, one for each member of the Lake Trio, an active act of both research on and worship of them. It, first, addresses the source of willpower and power in general, emanating from the spirit, as both psychic ability and more mundane willpower and the will to acquire power in general; it talks about the struggle of the living spirit, in human and Pokémon alike, and how this shapes both individuals and societies. Her second part of this threefold thesis is about knowledge and wisdom, and goes in depth on how they are acquired, how learning from the challenges of life grows them, how technology and ingenuity shaped the spirits of humans and Pokémon alike and, finally, the lessons that can be learned in contemplating Uxie, the Lake Trio, Psychic-type Pokémon, Pokémon in general and all living beings, in that order. Finally, it is a thesis on how humans and Pokémon love and feel, about how they connect and emote and how all of it links and exults the human and Pokémon spirit alike. All throughout, it is filled with further questions, decisions to be made and love and reverence for not only the Lake Trio, but all Pokémon. Appearance: Harmonia Willow is an extraordinarily beautiful, yet modest, young lady, with a radiant smile, glowing eyes and a brilliant sterling silver and diamond wedding ring on her right hand. With straight, jet-black hair going down to her hips, extremely fair skin and rose-red lips and cheeks, long nails painted a pearl white, soft, kind and cloudy silver gray eyes, a gentle heart-shaped face and abundant curves within a petite figure, she is a world-class beauty indeed. She wears a simple, Audrey Hepburn-esque black dress that is flattering, yet modest, studded with silver stars and going down to her knees, with pearl-white high heels and waist band and a simple pearl necklace. These are matched by black opera gloves and leggings, again studded with silver stars, and a simple pearl, embroidered in links of silver, covering her Third Eye. Finally, all this is topped with a dainty and elegant, yet extremely strong and tough, tiara formed out of silver, with a large pearl set directly above the forehead and two smaller pearls on either side. But, it doesn't come without a price. Her beauty leads to solitude; she gives off a very distinct impression of bitchiness and being 'out of your league', things that she does not try to suppress or otherwise 'play down'. Furthermore, because of her looks, she feels obligated to look out after the women who may not be as good-looking as her, but has other good attributes, such as cuteness, gentleness and a kind heart. She is used to being hunted and desired only for her looks; while a good soul at heart, she must be vigilant, cautious and, at times, aloof and even cold. Picture and Visual: A beautiful library, with cherry and ebony wood, with bookshelves on all sides and lit up with an antique chandelier, this place is the very epitome of both luxury and higher education. With many gold trimmings and an extremely comfortable chair with a laptop on a mahogany desk in front of it, its status as a place of indulgence and deep contemplation alike is furthered. All her Pokémon are there; her Happiny is being given a huge hug and waving to the others, her Ralts singing and emitting beams of pure warmth and love to other, her Meditite sweating and lifting weights, the Natu looking out of the window and taking in the sun, her Abra reading a book on training Psychic-types and, finally, her Larvitar brooding in a dark corner, vigilantly watching for threats, make up this picturesque scene. Several books are on display on the desk - her three books, each inspired by one of the Lake Trio (Azelf's book, The Cultivation of Inexhaustible Will and Unerring Discipline, Uxie's Peering Into the Unknown and Mastering Your Field and, finally, Mesprit's The Art of Connection and Self-Expression) are matched with a fourth book on top - Type Fundamentals, Volume XVIII: Mastering the Psychic-Type. Personality: Harmonia Willow has had a VERY hard life - but, she always rose to the challenge and without losing her heart. Born in the harsh environment of Orre, she learned early on that strength and power are the only laws that matter, that she couldn't be vulnerable and that she, at all costs, had to avoid being harmed in any way. Her meditations on Azelf, however, changed everything; over time, overcoming the various obstacles and tests that he brought, she began to become more confident, willful, determined, driven and passionate. She started coming out of her shell and started making friends; she disarmed the women who viewed her beauty as a threat with kindness and gently treated the men lusting after her with understanding and compassion without giving in. All this has made her a woman of power and influence, who effortlessly dominates the room with gravitas and charisma, and shaped her into a bold and powerful leader who speaks truth and destiny into being with her own mouth and hands. The second part of her personality comes from her meditations on Uxie; formerly impulsive, irrational and even hysterical and overwhelmed by all the emotions coming in, Uxie's clear logic and knowledge cut through everything like a knife and grounded her for the first time. Meditating for long days on nothing, on wisdom, on the Lake Trio and on Arceus Himself, she slowly acquired a mind that stood still and stopped for nothing but God. Tirelessly studying Pokémon, particularly Psychic-type Pokémon, and learning everything about them, she, driven on by a deep hunger and will to master herself and her own mind and the world around her, slowly but surely became calmer and less hysterical, wiser and more in command of her empathic and precognitive powers. But, she still has much ahead of her; they overwhelm her every day and its all she can do to remain sane. Still, with Uxie's help, she has made considerable progress; building structures and routines, inviting order and harmony into her life and basing everything on truth and only on truth, she, a step at a time, mastered Uxie's teachings. The final part of her personality came from Mesprit, and it changed her on a fundamental level indeed. With an entitled, arrogant and even bitchy mindset typical of most extremely attractive women, and full of Pride and Hubris in general, she had the longest and hardest journey of all mastering Mesprit's message of emotion, compassion and love. It took much critique and correction, but, over time, Harmonia became kinder and warmer, more open and gentle and began giving men a chance. She stopped thinking that she was too good for everyone and starting seeing God in all beings and all things; she learned to become a good person, inside and out, and to let down the cold and aloof exterior so that her inner beauty could shine and match her outer beauty. It took years, but, finally, she mastered Mesprit's teachings; she found role models that represented goodness and love, emotion and passion, and, through that, became humble and kind, gentle and self-effacing, quietly resilient and implacably graceful. Now, a student of The Laverton Institute, she still struggles with her many faults and sins, but, each day, becomes a better woman and person, wife and mother, friend and confidante; she, having found her way at last, now seeks to show others all the Lake Trio has done for her. Bio: Both in Agate Village in Orre, to two loving parents and, eventually, a younger brother, Harmonia Grace Willow grew up with the stories of Pokémon. Her father, a soldier, and, her mother a supermodel, after their intense experiences in the Kanto region, sought to undo all the trauma that they saw. Seeing how both were very much like the feared Shadow Pokémon themselves, they moved, in hopes that Celebi - and her city in general - would offer her blessing and a second chance. They got it. Two years went by and their first child, Harmonia, was born. By then, they have changed for the better; her father was training the town militia and her mother working with the trauma that Cipher left behind very directly. Right away, they knew - they wanted her to be even greater than them, kinder and stronger than them, wiser than them, and so, as soon as she could understand, they trained her in all the things that a future Pokémon Master would do in life. But, she had little desire for battling; indeed, she would often be found at the Shrine, cleaning it and meditating on Celebi - and, indeed, one day she came, and showed the future that she could become - IF, she could accept the difficulty and responsibility. No more pampered child, Celebi said telepathically, and then asked if she was ready; knowing in her heart she was, Celebi gave her blessing. Soon, Harmonia would find her first Pokémon - a Ralts, with a VERY 'off' and discordant impression on her, nonetheless seeking Celebi and the Shrine. Clearly a Shadow Pokémon, she wanted to run, but something told her to stay; eventually, with a Poffin, she came out and offered one to the Shadow Ralts. Highly suspicious at first, and ready to pounce, she was clearly hesitant, but Harmonia and Celebi persisted, and eventually she accepted the treat. This would repeat itself for months, until, one day, the Ralts opened its heart. Feeling it all, intuiting every danger, staying firm in her emotions and those of others' and being open to God's guidance in general, she took her home and explained everything. Naturally, there were terrified for her, but, seeing the good work she did, they were very proud of her indeed. This would start her career both as an opener of Shadow Pokémon's hearts and as a newly-minted empath and psychic in general who drew Psychic-type Pokémon to her like moths to a flame. She, over the next five years, worked on healing many Shadow Pokémon and came to know three more members of her growing team - her Meditite, Natu and Abra, all former Shadow Pokémon themselves. Her ambition grew up leaps and bounds; she studied psychology, learned from many Pokémon directly and always trusted her heart. This would lead her to the next chapter of her life - a period of long testing at the hands of many and her learning of the Lake Trio and, with that, her conscious decision to emulate them. Meditating deeply on each member of the Lake Trio, each twice a week, with Arceus on Sunday, she, more and more, became a good woman everyday. Seeing that she was serious about not only mastering the Psychic-type, but the spirits of humans and Pokémon alike, the Lake Trio telepathically put her through many trials; Azelf, for example, taught her to overcome her fears, while Uxie taught her the value of hard studying and Mesprit how to see the best in others. The trials went on for over a decade, through which she made a living healing Shadow Pokémon and learned much about the world. Eventually, on her eighteenth birthday, she spent one last day with her family and announced her mission: to go on a Vision Quest to Sinnoh and spend a year at each of the Lake Trio's lakes, in order to learn from and master everything they taught. They were so proud of her for growing up and accepted her mission happily. The next three years would be the hardest ever; going to Lake Valor first, she met Azelf in person, and underwent intense physical training so that her body could match her mind; furthermore, he taught her all of which he knew, such as how to harness passions for maximum performance, how to overcome obstacles and develop discipline and how to amplify personal ambition and hunger until she became an unstoppable force. After a year, Azelf was satisfied, and she moved on to Uxie and Lake Acuity. Training not only spirit but mind, she was tested on knowledge in a wide variety of fields; furthermore, her sense of danger was heightened and she learned to see threats before they even came; furthermore, she learned the value of logic and a cold mind and how to focus her will into a beam of unstoppable destiny. After a year, he was satisfied, and she moved onto Mesprit at Lake Verity. She would prove to be the hardest by far; constantly testing her, exposing all her faults and keeping both body and teachings just barely out of sight, it took months of desperate determination and intensive soul-searching until the ego died forever and Harmonia was ready. It was most rewarding - she learned many things, such as how to contain her sense of self and love herself so that her empathy wouldn't harm her, how to not only feel others, but understand them, how to see herself in others and bring out the best in them, how to have fun and experience the full gamut of emotion without losing herself and, finally and most importantly, how to love others as yourself. All the while, she wrote three books on the lessons of the Lake Trio, in order, after finishing training with each; coming with much research, deep compassion and applicable exercises, all of which covered every aspect of life and were holy, they quickly became best-sellers all across the Pokémon world. It was a month after her third book came out that she was offered a chance to attend The Laverton Institute; deeply drawn to her work and her dedication to mastering the Psychic-type and understand the spirit of humans and Pokémon in general, they offered her an all-expenses paid scholarship, provided that she do her Thesis on what she has mastered for the good of all. And, so, writing about the Lake Trio, she agreed and without delay came to the Institute. Of course, it wasn't easy; she still had to prove to them that she would use their teachings well, that she can handle the coursework, that she had something to offer and, finally that she served the good of all - but she did it all, and she finally got in. Where she goes from here, on her first day in her Pokémon Ecology class, which she took to understand Pokémon in depth well as a first year, is up to her... Pokémon: Ralts 'Love' - Harmonia's first Pokémon, her Ralts, called 'Love', Much more of an introvert than Joy, her Happiny, she expresses a deep interest in Psychology, particularly in the treatment of mental disorders. She is always there when Harmonia's psychic ability gets to be too much for her; when the world besieges her and drives her insane with its chaos and pain, she is always there to ground her and bring her back home. Furthermore, her ceaseless compassion and warmth has been a beacon of hope to both Harmonia and her other Pokémon, the Meditite, Natu and Abra also former Shadow Pokémon; trainer and Pokémon, together, make an awesome duo in which Pokémon can be understood, helped and redeemed - even the darkest and most dangerous. She is very much the 'Face' of the team; with her excellent social skills and uncanny insight, she knows how to appeal to anyone. Abra, 'Sage' - Harmonia's second Pokémon, Abra, called 'Sage', was found sneaking into a Pokémon Lab to read books; terrified and extremely combative, another Shadow Pokémon, it seemed at first that nothing could reach him - but, her Ralts, knowing what it was like, first befriended him and then led him into the Purification Chamber. Over time, he became better, and soon they became the closest of friends. Not very strong in battle (knowing only Teleport, after all), his talent and advantage was a voracious appetite for knowledge that, eventually, led him towards this most prestigious of academies to learn from the best. True to his name, he is the one that helps Harmonia with her homework and other material that The Laverton Institute has to offer; he is a beacon of both knowledge and wisdom through the hardest of times. He is the one who virtually always has an answer to any question - and, hey, he's great at moving around too! Natu 'Sight' - Harmonia's third Pokémon was found staring at Citadark Isle all day, watching the storm that never ended for evil coming out of that island and beyond. An ever-vigilant figure, he guarded the city well. Harmonia met him while searching the region for Shadow Pokémon, and found him staring empty-eyed that came from him. Challenging him to a game of trivia, he happily accepted - after being beaten in battle, of course! Once purified, he made not only an exceptional scout, but as a living Aura Reader to detect other Shadow Pokémon. Eternally inquisitive, yet quiet and wise, and with a hunger for wisdom and insight to match Sage's hunger for knowledge, he got along with Harmonia and the team fast. With an uncanny ability to both tell the future and discern situations as they unfold with unerring and compassionate efficiency and ability, Meditite 'Strength' - Harmonia's four Pokémon, and the last Shadow Pokémon she brought onto her team (although NOT the last she ran into, by a long shot), Harmonia found Meditate on the slopes of Mount Battle, fiercely Shadow Rushing every Pokémon and obstacle he could find. Despite having his heart closed, however, he was full of determination and drive, willing himself to overcome his pain and achieve great things. Taking on the Shadow Pokémon herself, without her Pokémon, and getting as far as she did, she earned his respect, and they joined forces. Relentlessly driven towards massive self-improvement, her Meditite can always be found reading a self-improvement book or listening to a corresponding podcast. A dedicated martial artist and student of warfare alike, he is determined to overcome everything and achieve greatness. The health and physical education instructor of their team, he keeps them all on-point and ready for battle. Happiny, 'Joy' - Harmonia's fifth Pokémon, and the one she is most alike; bubbly, extroverted and extremely kind, yet with nerves and a spine of steel, they got along famously and immediately. Possessing a Psychic-type Hidden Power as well, she has uncanny empathy, always knowing what another being needs and always willing to provide for them; she is innocent and loving to all. Because of this ability and Harmonia's established reputation by that time, the local Nurse Joy recommended Harmonia as a trainer - one that she took on happily. Warm, sweet and social, she is the other 'Face' of the party; unlike the Ralts however, she is much more social, while the Ralts is much more contemplative; complementing each other perfectly, the two were a huge part of her initiation into The Laventon Institute. She's a huge cuddlebug, always snuggling up to her trainer or others (with their consent, of course) that come by. She wears a small white dress with a pink heart on it. She has a great interest in Cute contests and always cheers loudly whenever they come on. She is a huge extrovert and a very passionate young lady who loves connecting with everyone she comes across. Larvitar 'Will' - The last Pokémon Harmonia owns, found less than a year ago. The same Larvitar once owned by Ash Ketchum, deeply drawn to her innate psychic power and trauma alike; with a powerful telekinetic, Psychic-type Hidden Power that it strives to master, it found its way to Harmonia after one of the professors found it and, knowing of Harmonia's reputation for psychic ability, bringing out the best in every Pokémon and working with the traumatized, promptly brought it to her. Training a pseudo-legendary hasn't been easy; he, like most, is extremely willful and determined, even while frightened and traumatized, with a fierce drive that she loves; indeed, Will reminds her so much of her husband, Andre. He is both a strong figure protecting the rest of the team and skilled with talking to others just as traumatized as he is; he knows how to really dig deep and bring out someone's best self. Quirks: * Harmonia Willow grew up in the barren and war-torn region of Orre; because of this, she knows a great deal about poverty and difficulty. At the same time, it did not break her, but forged a deep and unending well of compassion within her - but, underneath it, is a reservoir of will worthy of any Steel-type. Because of this, underneath the dainty, Yamato Nadeshiko exterior beats the heart of a mighty warrior-woman who strives to take on challenges, overcome limits and, overall, be the best trainer she can be. * Extending from this, Harmonia Willow has developed considerable empathic and precognitive ability, mostly around making powerful bonds with Pokémon and avoiding danger. However, while her psychic abilities are powerful, they are also traumatizing; she MUST feel everything, take responsibility for everything and anticipate everything; the very experience is ego-shattering, and can lead to insanity and mental disorder; she constantly, therefore, strives to maintain herself in a world that constantly assails her. Furthermore, she aspires to master Battle Meditation, to train hard so that her Pokémon reach their fullest potential and, to one day, meet and learn from the Lake Trio. * Finally, Harmonia Willow is one of the few women to both pursue and actualize Enlightenment; at the same time, she genuinely cares about others - but chooses her attachments wisely. She constantly wears a calm smile and is dissonantly serene, even in the most dire of circumstances. At the same time, she feels deeply and passionately, which is what drew her main, a Ralts, to her. Her core philosophy is 'let go of everything, yes, but choose your attachments well, for they are the spice of life'. * Harmonia Willow has worked with purifying Shadow Pokémon from Orre; this experience has both enlightened and traumatized her. She more than intellectually knows the trauma that Shadow Pokémon went through when their hearts were closed; she feels it all - the heartbreak, the pain, the lust for conquest and the will to dominate. * Harmonia Willow sees her psychic powers as both a privilege and an awesome responsibility - a responsibility that, try hard as she might, she fails to uphold time and time again - but, each time, she gets up and tries again. Many times they are more a curse than a blessing, but she sticks through because her husband, family and Pokémon need it. Additional Information: High Concept: A brilliant, kind and determined master of the Psychic-type driven by both deep ambition and reverence for the Lake Trio to become a Pokémon Professor so that she can understand the depth of the Lake Trio's influence on the spirits, and the rest of what makes a human a human and a Pokémon a Pokémon, inside and out. Role Models: * N - Harmonia Grace Willow, after the Lake Trio, looks up most to N; she is genuinely inspired by his closeness to his Pokémon and his ability to recruit them so easily, an ability she wishes to master herself. * Yellow - Harmonia Willow looks up to Trainer Yellow as an epitome of what a strong empath can be, who brings out the best in their Pokémon in every way. * Champion Diantha - Harmonia Willow looks up to Champion Diantha's effortless femininity and grace, seeking to emulate her in every way. Furthermore, her Ralts looks up to Diantha's Gardevoir. * Erica - Harmonia looks up to Gym Leader Erica because she is the perfect image of the Japanese woman that she seeks and yearns, more than ever, to embody. * Jasmine - Harmonia deeply resonates with Gym Leader Jasmine, with her gentleness and classy exterior that belies a spine and will of steel. * The Pokémon Rangers - Harmonia loves the concept of the Pokémon Rangers - winning Pokémon's hearts without fighting them - and admires their closeness to nature as well. * Mew - Harmonia Willow aspires to be like the great mother of all Pokémon in all ways; her gentleness yet quiet strength, her warmth and childlike playfulness and, of course, her formidable psychic ability. She sees herself in the great mother of Pokémon and strives to embody her innocence and love without losing strength and power. The Lake Trio: * Mesprit - Harmonia deeply resonates with the Lake Trio, and especially Mesprit; she seeks to be as emotional and passionate as the Pokémon, as masterful of her emotions and others' so that she can lead them well - or strike at them, if they threaten her or her loved ones. * Azelf - Harmonia constantly looks up to Azelf, who knows how to be strong and courageous, who has a drive to assert one's will - she, deep-down extremely strong, seeks constantly to embody his willpower. * Uxie - Finally, Harmonia models Uxie constantly, studying around the clock and taking life extremely seriously, with the goal of becoming a Pokémon Professor who knows everything and can answer any question. Purpose Behind This Character: I have always been a huge fan of the Psychic-type and of the Lake Trio in general; I find them full of insight and opportunity for learning. In particular, I like what the Lake Trio embodies and actively work to embody them in my life; I, finally, see my religious life in worshipping God in them and in the spirit they embody; I want to create a character that is not merely well-written, but genuinely inspiring and instructive. Goals and Ambitions: * Her biggest ambition, of course, is to become a Pokémon Professor! In particular, she is looking to study Psychic-types, and in particular the Lake Trio, to see the effects that they have on others. Long-pursuing them and their many virtues, embodying them every moment, she now seeks to become a Pokémon Professor who studies the spirit of humans and Pokémon alike. * Her second ambition is to hone her psychic abilities in general, with an emphasis on those that would ensure a deeper connection with her Pokémon and the world in general; furthermore, to use what she already has without being overwhelmed by nor numb to them. * Her third biggest ambition is a very personal one - to overcome the traumas of both growing up in Orre and training Shadow Pokémon with the goal of opening their hearts; she seeks, to this end, a degree in Pokémon Psychology, with an emphasis on Abnormal Psychology, in order to treat those as broken as she is. * Her fourth ambition is to raise her Pokémon and the Pokémon of those she cares for, as well as their trainers, to genuine greatness; she seeks to build the next generation of trainers and Pokémon who can face down all the challenges that the world has to offer. * Her final ambition is a very gentle one; she aspires to be not only a great wife and mother, but a truly nurturing and kind soul in general. To this end, she listens to everyone and does not impose; she is a rock that others can lean on and a beacon of light in an often troubled and dark world. Her Good Traits: 1) Harmonia Grace Willow is a traditionally feminine and graceful woman; all self-effacing and eloquent, charming and warm, she is the very image, in both looks and presence, of a classical Japanese lady. She never imposes and always listens; she always has a kind word and, for all her trauma, an open heart. 2) But, just beneath the exterior, beats a heart of steel - a strength that defies its appearance. 3) She is genuinely a great mother and wife; she is very nurturing and gentle, always spending time with her husband and children and deeply devoted to her family life. 4) She is extremely hard-working, diligent, determined and, above all, ambitious; she is driven to achieve great things and make the best Pokémon Professor and Psychic-type trainer ever. 5) Finally, she, through her constant meditation on the Lake Trio, embodies many virtues well - but, this doesn't come easy and living up to their standards can be very hard indeed. Her Flaws: First, as previously mentioned, she can be aloof and cold, especially to those she doesn't know. She has serious trust issues, especially with men, and is slow to open up - although, once she does, she is an undying and loyal ally and friend. Second, she has a tendency to dwell in trauma and not move past it; this, her husband helps with immeasurably with his grounding and traditional masculinity. Third, she works way too hard; she burns the midnight oil every day and constantly seeks to test herself, far past reasonable limits. Fourth and finally, she doesn't know how to have fun; she always studies and takes life seriously and is extremely prone to burnout. Relationships: The Oak-Willows (Mother, Father and Brother) - Peter Oak and Yvonne Willow are a couple in Orre who both directly work with Pokémon; Peter Oak as a cousin of the famous Professor Oak and Yvonne Willow (unrelated; she just chose that name because she liked it). The husband was an army man from Vermillion City who fought under Lt. Surge during the Last Great Pokémon War and the mother was a supermodel who served in Erica's gym out of Celadon City. They met after the great war, when things were winding down on St. Anne; it was a whirlwind romance, with Peter boldly winning fair lady's heart; they married within six months. Shortly after marrying, they moved to Orre, the husband because he wanted a harsh region to train the strongest Dragon-type Pokémon and the wife because she wanted to work with Shadow Pokémon and other traumatized Pokémon directly. Now, the husband serves on Mount Battle, both as the 99th trainer and as a battle instructor training young trainers in how to fight with their Pokémon; the wife, on the other hand, is a Pokémon psychologist, with a specialty in Abnormal Psychology, who works with Shadow Pokémon and other traumatized Pokémon with the goal of opening their hearts. Meanwhile, the brother, James Oak, runs a church of Arceus out of Pyrite Town, a place that both encourages worship of Arceus and being a man in every way; many gangsters and wielders of Shadow Pokémon come to it, and he works, as a pastor, to redeem the most fallen of souls. He, training ordinary Normal and Fighting-types, shows that he can withstand the harshness and brutality of Orre without losing one's soul. Andre Stone Oak (Husband) - Bold, brave, determined, willful; these are but a few of the words used to describe Andre Stone Oak. A Pokémon Ranger from Fiore, very close to nature and adventurous, all man and all brave and determined to make a name for himself, he mastered the many challenges and rigors of his career and led many very powerful Pokémon, particularly his Charizard and other Dragon-types, into battle against the villains of the region. Rugged and handsome, with many scars from battles and burns from the Mega Charizard X he trained, and all hard and cold, he is a master of the Dragon-type and, before he married Harmonia, conquered the Indigo Plateau and came near to becoming Champion, fighting him down until his last Pokémon. Now, as he trains for a second challenge against the Elite Four, with his loyal and loving wife by his side, he busies himself with the Pokémon that the various professors of The Laventon Institute hand off to him, training them so that, when called on again for the greatest of tasks, they may rise to the occasion like they never left their side. Samson Oak and Bella Willow (Son and Daughter) - Andre and Harmonia have two children - Samson and Bella. True to these two extremely ambitious souls, both of them have already achieved great heights, and so young. Samson Oak (7) has already shown a great talent for Fighting-types, training a Machop and Tyrogue, sparring with them every day and has already gained several belts at the nearby dojo; furthermore, he has shown his father's ambition to conquer all the Pokémon Leagues of the world. Meanwhile, Bella Willow (6) has shown a similar talent for Grass-types, training an Oddish, as well as a Feebas, and aspires to enter Beauty contests when she grows older. Samson can be best described as an unstoppable being of pure energy and vitality, always climbing trees, punching bags, lifting weights and otherwise being a man; Bella, meanwhile, plays with her dolls, dresses up other girls in dresses and does their makeup and hair and is just simply a singing and smiling fountain of joy and love. With both destined for great things, the eyes of the Institute are very much on them; perhaps one, or both, will strive to become professors in time?
