By the time Aurora had led Arrish into the debriefing room and had sat down she could feel the last of the adrenaline leave her system. Feel the world turn just a bit fuzzier as she came down from the surge of combat.

She was already set up by that point however. Her pad was before her, her trusty note app open and ready. And though she startled at the Professors abrupt beginning, it didn’t hinder her as she began to transcribe what it was, he said.

Even as a soft frown over took her features as she wrote.

Overall there were shades of truth in the older man’s words. Serah’s recklessness, Elora’s fault. Squid’s Pilot’s overconfidence. And Griff’s shocking level of co-operation. But it was cruelly put, designed to cut and dig.

Even Aurora own actions were painted in as unflattering a light as possible. And while she was moderately embarrassed when her own turn to be taken to task came up, thus having her actions in the cockpit displayed for all. She couldn’t help but wonder as well. [color=6ecff6][i]‘If this is how he feels about me, I can only imagine how he will react to Sleepy when they are actively in a mood.’[/i][/color]

Rational she could agree with, but she would not temper her feelings for a crotchy old man.

Over all it reinforced her feeling that anything the man said should be taken with a fair side of salt.

Especially when it was clear by how he over looked Argo’s Pilot, easily one of the more dangerous and effective units on the field. A fact corroborated by the man’s lack of anything to say about their performance. 

Nodding to herself at the choice of who got promoted to Squad leader. Considering how well Mango came together, as well as the skills, both technical and tactical on display it made sense. There was a part of her chafed at being over looked. She had been raised for more, tutored and guided for leadership. But like so much, it had all turned to ash now. And with earned practice she turned aside her stung pride.

Instead, she went over the transcript again now that the man was done talking. Adding her own thoughts and feelings to the mix. It would be important later she knew. So best to do so while everything was still fresh.

Still she kept an ear open as the rest of the cadets spoke up in regards to all that was said. Griff, surprised her, not at his tactical analysis. That went about how she expected it to go. But he still managed to hit the underlying reason Apple lost. Mango simply acted as a better team. Maybe not from the start, but by the end for sure.

She was surprised that he recognized his own outburst was misplaced, and made sure to add those notes to her other files.

Moving on it was good to hear that Serah at least recognized her own faults. And she raised a valid question, though Aurora doubted the Professor would give a straight answer.

She also heavily disagreed with Mema-Ka. The Kattai’s mishmash of Cockroach and Squid might have been a threat, but it was a glass one as well. A sustained gunline, which Raptor could have been with Logic’s assistance, and their drones could have just as easily taken it out. Especially if Mema-Ka could drone strike with their attack drones.

But tactics are easy with hindsight. Aurora disagreed primarily because he was assigned as XO, and then immediately abandoned his team mates.

Aurora was taken aback by Arrish’s sudden burst of laughter. What had set him off and why she had no idea. But clearly, he wasn’t willing to let a lost training exercise ruin his mood. And honestly, she agreed with him. Yes, Apple lost, and Mango won. But now? Now all of them were on the same team.

Which meant everything she had fought against, was now on her side, and everyone she had fought with had that much more of an idea of how to work against the Cruxi. And it was going to be glorious.

[color=6ecff6]“I will be sure to attend.”[/color] She would tell Arrish as he stood ready and waiting. [color=6ecff6]“I have some post mission routines I would like to perform, but nothing that should keep me from making it to the team dinner.”[/color]

And it was clear that she wasn’t the only one ready to start wrapping up. With how both Arrish and Squid’s pilot left. Aurora was planning on staying for at least a few more minuets to see how Lorenzo replied to the questions posed to him.

Something that proved to be worth it, as hearing from Rex’s Pilot gave her, her first insights into the sole member of team Banana. Relaxed, and aware of at least one avenue of thought. She was disappointed though, seeing as she felt the odds of the Professor answering with the full though even less now than she did when Serah first asked her question.

And then came the question from Argo’s Pilot. With it’s much more understandable frustrations, and much more ominous wordings.
