Millicent had been thinking as Eleanore opened up more. While she was no expert in how he super wealthy operated, she knew that people with money tended to like keeping said money. And things like this mansion and the vineyards were all apart of that money. To hear that Richard wanted to leave to go back to London struck Millicent. Was it because Richard wanted to go back to where Renee's mother was, a type of guilt? Perhaps longing to get away from the place that took his daughter or made him miserable. 

Either way, it sounded like Eleanore wasn't on board with the plan. Would she do something to keep her family here? If a nosy person, say, were stirring up trouble by asking questions about paternity, possibly stirring feelings of guilt, remorse, and longing, would Eleanore take matters into her own hands?

It was a possibility.
