Should she have put more force into it? Just what was this thing made of? ...probably some other worldly material they didn't have a name for on Earth, actually. Of course it would have to be strong to survive the vacuum of space. Still, another blow should do it, right? Jack swept the pieces of slime off of the front of her with a hand, like brushing off dust, and hefted her instrument over her head to take another swing. She paused when Iris and Mika converged around her, dropping her weapon to her side when the former started talking. "I wasn't rescuing you," she snapped, brushing aside the thanks and jabbing a finger toward the spider. "And you're seriously underestimating the people in there. A little explosion's not gonna kill 'em! Plus a hole in the hull means this ship isn't gonna be able to leave the atmosphere! They won't be escaping!" She looked at Mika briefly, seemingly for someone to back up her words, with an expression that clearly said: duh. As long as they got everyone out before literally sinking it into the ocean, as far as Jack was concerned getting started on destroying it was actually in their best interest. Of course at that moment a hole actually did open up in the ship, just from the inside rather than out. Jack's eyes trailed the stellar esper before she smirked and nodded her head towards the escapee. "See? They're already fighting fit!" After Iris slipped inside, Jack blatantly ignored Book Kidd's shout attempting to get people to stop boarding the ship by doing just that. "C'mon!" she beckoned Cerberus as she made her way in as well. She'd lost track of Iris, but came upon a whole group of other espers that had already boarded - and a room full of more slimes. At that time, the high tech hero advised them not to rush. Jack almost wanted to disregard that warning as well, almost, but she stuck around the others. She might have been out of the game for a little while, but not so rusty as to really put herself into more danger than she could manage. "Sure - clear out the mobs first, rescue the hostages, then take on the boss in the back," Jack agreed. She moved up using the big puppet as cover, then lunged to stab the pointed tip of her weapon's blade into the nearest slime as it moved to attack the larger target. Once the melee slimes grouped up, a wide swing to catch a bunch at once would be her next move. And once they'd thinned this herd having a direction to go would help - so she flicked the rim of her glasses, their lenses flickering for half a second before they settled back into shiny transparent gold. The monsters wouldn't be using illusions inside their own ship, right? So maybe a different view would lead to wherever the other espers were being held. The residue of magic leaving a trail, or maybe enchanted doors to lock them in. Of course it would be easy enough to switch off if the visual noise turned out to be unhelpful instead. There might have been another way to figure out where to go anyway. "GEMINI agents - shouldn't you guys have some kinda tracer or something to tell us where to look?" she asked, not so concerned with this battle that she couldn't inquire about the plan for immediately afterward. The ship was so huge that it would take a long time to search the whole thing, but with a starting point - of perhaps the abducted agents - it would be easier.
