As the clock chimed the hour, Tony glanced down at his watch and grimaced. The ball was only an hour away, and although it wouldn't take the [i]full[/i] hour for him to get ready, it'd probably take most of it. Maybe if he hurried he'd have [i]some[/i] time to check on Agatha, but he probably wouldn't have enough to let his eyes wander much while he was past the locked door, which had been the real reason for doing it. Although maybe the shortness of time could be used as an excuse to do it both before [i]and[/i] after the ball? That would be worth trying.
