Before he had the chance to celebrate his victory though it seemed Ivor was having trouble. Eric wasn't sure why Ivor wanted his gun in his situation but he wasn't gonna argue with a trained soldier.

Without looking back he ran towards the rifle and grabbed it, intending to hand it to Ivor after helping him with the two aliens. Unfortunately he got tackled by an ET right as he was about to pick up the weapon. He was able to use it though by smacking the alien in the head with the butt of the rifle. He then used his free hand to try and get one of the ET's holding onto Ivor off so he could return the gun.
