Or the biggest prank her mind had played on her. With her mental break being diagnosed as acute psychosis, there were more moments than she was willing to admit where she wondered if this was all real or if she really was just delusional. Yet in moments like those her eyes would flit to the shield in the corner of her room. It seemed to argue there was no other option than it being reality. She hoped she was right. Gabriella didn't understand the whole intuition thing she was meant to have. She didn't feel anything or have anything pop into her head or anything like such. Maybe she was actively ignoring it all too well. She did what she did best instead and devised a plan. She wanted to give every possible chance for this intuition to strike her. A large world map lay on her desk, the sides spilling over the edges and drooping toward the floor. Her eyes scanned it as she waited for something to reveal itself and for the first time it did. She felt a strong pull toward Europe, the United Kingdom specifically, her eyes barely able to move from looking at it. An audible groan left her lips. She hoped whatever the gods wanted from her involved her staying in the United States- at least for while she was alone. She pulls out a map of the United Kingdom and places it on top of the other. A large part of her hoped she was wrong and this would prove it. Unfortunately, it did the opposite and instead she felt an even stronger pull from London. While London did make a semblance of sense, there were still crowds and throngs of tourists to blend in with, it was a significant distance from her. Regardless, she had a location. Now she just needed a way to get there. Any form of long term public transportation didn't feel like a great idea. If a titan successor could play an attending psychiatrist they could easily play a passenger. While there were many more people and that may force them to play nice Gabriella didn't know what they were capable of yet. Maybe they could pause time or erase the memories of what the crowds saw. Alas, Gabriella didn't have thousands of dollars lying around to do a bunch of short flights or to take a boat. "You gonna help me out here?" she asks out loud to- well she guessed to Athena. Yet silence was the respondant. She gave a sigh. Maybe she was crazy after all. It seemed she'd have to work it out herself.
Today
Gabriella had been in London about a week moving between dodgy budget hotel rooms and wandering the streets as she waited for a sign. There was nothing. No intuition, no words from Athena. Each evening she begged Athena to respond and tell her what she was doing here but was met with silence. If she was being totally honest she was starting to be convinced she was indeed delusional yet something in her begged for one more day. It had been begging for 'one more day' the whole trip. The answer finally came at just before 3pm on a Friday as she passed a random office building. There her mind seemed to scream. She looked at the building suspeciously. "What do you mean there?" she muttered to herself. No response just another reminder of where to go. With a groan she tried to peer into the office through one of the half-covered windows. To her surprise there seemed to be some kurfuffle- was her intuition right after all? She gives a gentle pull on the door, not locked. Good. She slowly steps into the room and quickly hides behind a desk and slows her breathing. It didn't stop the fact her heart was racing 100 miles an hour. She takes a occasional glances to try and figure what was going on. A looming figure attacking another woman who held a lantern in her hand. Before she even had to rifle through her mental Greek mythology knowledge she instantly identified the lantern as a token of Persephone. Did she even know that before? Was that subconscious knowledge or Athena's wisdom being given to her? Gabriella didn't have time to ponder though. She had to make a plan and the other woman and her light just gave her the perfect one. As the titan was mesmerised by the lantern's light Gabriella ran out from under the desk and ran at the titan from behind as she summoned her shield. Thunk. The sound rung out as she hit him on the back of the head. The titan fell to his knees appearing dazed but Gabriella had encountered enough in the past 6 weeks to know they were a lot more durable than the average human. They didn't have long before he was up and going for them again. "Persephone. Right?" she asks gruffly, her eyes moving between the woman and the titan. "We need to go. Now."
