Lucida "Luz" Prieto
Stepping out onto the balcony let Lucida get a view of the large combined living room and kitchen before she began to descend the stair. It let her see that there was only one other person eating breakfast at the moment, either because they were still asleep or, more likely due to her own lateness in getting ready, already gone. As she crossed the line from hardwood to tile Lucida returned the boys wave and greeting. "Moooorning~!" Skipping over the oatmeal she walked right to the breadbin and took out two slices to put into the toaster. While that was going, she opened the fridge and grabbed the half empty jar of jam to put on it. Jam on toast was a poor substitute for tostadas, but until she convinced someone here of the merits of buying international ingredients to cater for their international line-up of students it was the best she could manage. Besides, she hadn't had proper Paldean food since leaving her home region; she was used to it by now. As she waited Lucida turned back to the boy and listened as he recounted his failed breakfast plans. It was a nice idea, though if he planned to just make oatmeal for everyone like he had for himself she wasn't sure how well the gesture would have gone over with everyone. "Yeeeaah, some of these guys are real early birds. I could never!" Not if she could help it anyway. Early starts to the day were all but mandatory when you were travelling by foot everywhere; even sleeping until 8 or 9 meant losing half the day by the time you were packed up and ready to go. It was a habit she was more than happy to break however. "Making a meal for everyone is a nice idea though; maybe we should try for dinner or something instead? Pick a time when everyone will be around. Ooh! We could potluck it! Everyone makes something they like!" The toaster popped and Lucida turned away to put her toast on plate and start spreading the jam on it. A group meal could be a good way to get everyone to interact with each other, bond a little; share something about themselves with the food they chose to bring. If she could get her hands on some proper ingredients then it would be a nice way to introduce everyone to real Paldean food as well. "Oh, I sleep *reeeally* well. Having a proper bed again makes a *huge* difference; the problem is making sure I don't sleep *too* much. Luckily my Rotom phone is more responsible than I am." Breakfast done, Lucida brought her plate over to the counter and sat down opposite the boy before digging in. "What about you? How are you adjusting to civilisation again?" [@Birdboy]
