A facial expression somewhere right in-between “knows exactly what’s going on” and “knows absolutely nothing about what’s going on”. Favours simple clothing and streetwear. Wears a red cape that doesn’t in the slightest match with the rest of his outfit and looks like it is worth substantially more than the rest of the stuff he’s wearing. Looks pretty plain, honestly.

[color=d77457][b]Personality:[/b][/color] Stiles is pretty driven. While he has little knowledge himself, he advances into a situation like he knows everything. He fears everything, yet will march into the face of danger with only a little bit of hesitation. He is bad at reading the room, but he will find a way to socialize. He’s got little charisma, but he’s decently curious. He’s easily amazed, easily scared, and decently difficult to anger. When he has decided something, it is difficult to make him decide otherwise. He is not always the brightest bulb imaginable.

He’s been trying to progress for a long time now, and he’s been getting increasingly desperate. Desperate enough to do something he maybe normally wouldn’t have. If there’s an opportunity where most people might go “maybe I shouldn’t” for some reason, he just might. That said, he does have normal morals when it comes to thievery and most crimes except for entering other people’s homes when he wants something. It was just that he had an extraordinary opportunity, and the guy that he was taking it from seemed to be pretty well-off, anyway. Opportunity makes the thief, and all that.

[color=d77457][b]Backstory:[/b][/color] Stiles Young arrived at the gates of Ranorak City a while ago. He’d travelled here from Honnington when he heard this was where everyone strong lived. Naturally, moving here would make him strong, too, he decided. He went around challenging everyone with his Budew, but he was defeated. Still, numerous individuals decided to entertain him. However, he did develop this bad habit of sneaking into people’s homes to challenge them to battles. After beating him, he was thrown out of their homes. He lived on the streets and in his tent like this for a long time…

Then one day he snuck through a window of a stranger they’d said was strong and found a PC that was on and abandoned. On the screen, an invitation from a certain professor that had been accepted. A professor offering an opportunity. Watching the recording, Stiles realized this was his chance! He hadn’t been making the progress as he’d hoped, and this was just the opportunity he needed! And right next to the computer were the printed documents and the plane tickets to Byjerlfal City!

Okay, so all of this was supposed to go to some Victor “Vic” Gallagher, but whoever this Vic was, Stiles CLEARLY deserved this more. Just look at this mansion Vic was living in! He’d get his chance, Stiles was taking this one! Right, so to get this job, he had to BE Vic. So Stiles took Vic’s plane tickets, one of his capes, the submitted application and the guy’s Rotom phone with his identification. The Rotom was amused enough by the situation that it rolled with it, even used some ghost powers to tamper with the identification to make it Stiles’ picture instead of Vic’s.

Now he just needed to pretend to be Vic, and everything would be fine! He has absolutely no idea who Vic even is, but it’s gonna be fine! By the time they figure it out, Stiles is gonna have done such an awesome job that nobody’s gonna mind! … Probably!

He doesn’t know what Pokémon are out there. He hasn’t exactly done a lot of Pokémon studies. He also doesn't really know the type-chart.
He lacks a lot of knowledge about famous people or places.
He’s a pretty good skateboarder. Has notable survival skills.
He’s decent at sneaking around and into buildings. As if that’s a good thing.
He has a habit of asking people in town if they’ve seen anything interesting around lately for him to investigate.

[color=86c665][b]Personality | Nature:[/b][/color] Modest. Budew has been with Stiles since back in Honnington, and has been sent to fight Pokémon much, much stronger than him. He’s lost a lot of battles for Stiles, but because he never won, he also never gained experience. This also has prevented him from growing that deep a bond with Stiles, preventing evolution. However, he loyally holds true to his trainer, and they have had a lot of fun riding skateboards and trying to figure out strategies over time. They’ve just, you know, been fighting end-game opponents for too long.

Question. He kinda had to have a Pokémon for his story to make sense, he can't challenge someone if he doesn't have a Pokémon of his own. That said, he absolutely would want to accept the Pokémon from the professor. Could he leave his Budew somewhere? I was contemplating if he'd release him, but, like, in the story they'd been together for a while, and I don't think he'd do that. I could totally see it coming down to him showing up being like "pokémon?" and the professor replying "wtf you already have one, gtfo" and him being like "D:" but still getting the job, hah.

Speaking of the job. I am interested to know if this is, at all, an acceptable way of getting it, or if I should rethink it. I am open to suggestions, if so, heh.
