To control her, he made her wear two bronze gauntlets that he could command using a ring he wore, ensuring she obeyed his orders - or suffer for his amusement. While dusting in the wizard's library, she came across a forgotten ancient amulet of obsidian that whispered to her. When she picked it up, she caught a fleeting glimpse of an old, proud wolf, a scar running down the left side of his face. Mr. Wolf, as she called him, offered to teach her old magic, in exchange for a bit of worship. She got the impression he was lonely. Under his teachings, she learned how to make various medicines, potions, and work hexes. Bringing Mr. Wolf back from the nether realms, however, she's not been able to do. Strihagan would bring her on his trips to both serve him and act as his bare-handed defender (he never trusted her with a blade, spell or no spell). It was one faithful day that they ran into Marcus the Vigilante while on the road. As the wizard raised his hands to smite the warrior, Marcus ran in and in one swing chopped off both of Strihagan's hands. Furious, the wizard dropped to his knees, then commanded Rizx to kill him. She got in a few punches, separating him from his sword and knocking him down next to the wizard's hands - and that's when Marcus saw the ring. He managed to yank it off as she stormed in and slipped the ring on his own finger before ordering her to stop. Rizx came to an abrupt halt. Furious, Strihagan demanded to know why she wasn't killing him, she swore angrily back at him that Marcus had the ring. Seeing the man approaching, Strihagan first threatened him, then begged for his life. But Marcus ran him through. Marcus tried to remove the gauntlets, but not knowing the commands, caused Rizx pain as they crushed her wrists until he stopped. With little choice, she trudged after human, serving him. He was worried that she might attack him in his sleep, but the spell on the gauntlets did not make it possible. It was months before Rizx was able to take the ring back while he was passed out drunk in a tavern and disappear into the night.
Lykos (Mr. Wolf) is a trickster god. He and his pantheon were overthrown by an invading army of a forgotten empire, the victorious gods cast them into the nether realms. Over time, the other gods, his brothers and sisters, gave up, gifting each other the last of their magic before they surrendered their physical form, becoming a wordless cry in the wind. When the ones who cast them down were themselves sent into the nether realms, Lykos was waiting for them. However, even with their stolen power, it was not enough for him to escape. And then, one day, he caught a glimpse of someone through the amulet with his lost eye.
