Well, his companions were certainly having some... interesting training experiences. He wanted to say that he was surprised by Anise's antics though he really wasn't. He was more surprised she didn't try jumping the Sawsbuck herself. What was more curious was whatever the deal with Earl and his Cubone and Marowak was. It was obvious what the problem was though he was surprised that Earl hadn't acknowledged it or figured it into the equation.

[color=8493ca]"Sounds like you just need to get more gym badges."[/color] He shrugged. It sounded simple enough. Get more badges and his Pokemon were more likely to respect his ability to train them, which means they would get stronger. Then again, he seemed more interested in potions rather than actually becoming the strongest.

And then Anise returned so they were ready to enter the Frozen Cave and it was, in a word, cold. Cold and strange. Wait that was two words though he hardly could have been called wrong when there was a giant Wailmer encased in ice. How in the world it got there was anyone's guess though Wailmer were certainly not any ancient species so it raised even more questions. And then a Delibird gave him a berry along with the rest of his friends.
