And I'm sure they dry out into pretty nonperishable state." Victoria smiled challengingly at Dorian's question, before looking at Chase. "Hey, you already look pale like a vampire, and I won't lie, red eyes would look good on ya. I'd know." She smirked, blinking her eyes into the combat mode's red and then back to green, "But unlike me, you wouldn't be able to admire yourself in the mirror, so what's the point? I'm just saying, I found a journal of someone who was there recently that said to do this. I'm trying to look out for you lot. But If you insist on playing stupid games, you'll win stupid prizes, so eat yours at your own peril." she shrugged. Luna tried to talk some last minute sense into the group, but Vicky could predict the result. YEET! Because of course. It doesn't matter if they launch themselves out of a tube slide or to another world, there's never a fraction of the thought preceding the decision that there should be. she rolled her eyes and got up herself, picking the storage module up and hooking it to her backplate before turning to Luna once the two of them were the only ones left there: "You see what I have to deal with on a daily basis?" She moved to the edge of the circle. This was it. It wasn't a matter of if stepping through this would kill her, only how fast. Unless they found a way to stop it, which would most likely involve some other bargain, knowing her luck. Getting there is going to be easy. Getting back is going to be a bitch. Why do I hang out with these people again? She gave one last look behind her. "If this doesn't work like you said and I check out immediately... I'm coming back as a ghost and haunting your ass." she said with a wink and stepped through.
The trip was a... trip. Her skin felt like a million bugs were crawling under it for a moment, before whatever magic took her wherever she was going let go of her, and she landed on something soft and immediately sank into it. "Guh!" she choked out as the errors came rolling in, and safeties nearly shunted power from her extremities. She was generating power still. But almost two thirds of it never made it where it was supposed to go. She immediately started shutting down everything she didn't need like most of her sensor array, and dialing the current back on her servos so that she could keep upright and walk, and not much more. Is this what it is like to be sick? The first thing she noted was her roomie on the ground, eating a fat bowl of shit. No. Sand. They had to land on fucking Tatooine. Did the story magic know that sand got everywhere? Picking it out of the armor's actuators was going to be hell. At least her own skin was sealed, so hopefully she won't find herself with creaking joints in a day or so. Then came the screaming. Her head swiveled, and her armor rattled. Since when did her armor rattle? She looked down and saw that she was wearing something that no longer resembled an anthropomorphic tank, but a weird cross between a roman segmented plate and a renaissance full plate. It was still power armor though, albeit she could not see what the hell actuated it anymore. Right! Sabine. Screaming. A blur of glitches that was Leah these days was at hand, spewing more glitches over to Sabine, so probably doing her rune thing. [sub]"Great. We enter a magical realm and I'm not the one worst off. This is starting well..."[/sub] Victoria said for herself, but then stopped. She wasn't well. Sabine was in agony. Their minds were linked. What if she was broadcasting her own discomfort in some strange otherworldly way? Can't hurt to try... She thought as she pulled the psi-block bracelet from a pocket and put it on her arm, waiting if anything would change while she set her storage module down and rummaged through it. "Leah, med kit." She gave a heads up before gently tossing the pack to the giantess. In the meantime, Marlena got up, and brought up that they would probably have to carry Sabine for a while. Vicky got an idea about that and fished for clothes first. ...since when do I wear tails? How huge are those boots?! And is that a cane? Nevermind, that's useful right now. she said, pulling out the cane, some round stock, tape and two jackets. "I can make a jacket stretcher." she called out, checking over her shoulder on Sabine whether she should get to it, or if Sabine was doing better. Then the second part of Marlena's sentence registered, and she looked the same way. "At least some luck. Walking mountain? Exactly where I need to get. Can you see any legs attached to it? I'm a bit blind at the moment." That noted, she pulled her helmet off, frowning as she saw a sallet with barely a slit for a visor. And then she saw her reflection.
