They should have, as a group with Glimpse the night before, spent more time talking about whatever plans they could have. Party was a party though. “Not a traditional vampire. It wasn’t like I couldn’t eat garlic or go out during the day. I also could use mirrors, thank god for that cause makeup would have sucked to put on otherwise.” Andy shrugged. She rolled her eyes when Chase lamented missing the vampire fight. “There was no fight. Just a stupid curse put on me by my mother. The curse is gone. So no more vampire, which let me tell you is a relief and a half.” “Why Kay?” Andy was confused by Chase’s names. She didn’t recognize any of them. There was no way she was going to remember who was who. Andy took her turn crossing over, nearly stumbling but caught herself. Some of her coffee spilled from the cup to the sand. She checked to make sure there wasn’t any sand on the lid before taking a long sip and then putting the mug in the side netting of her backpack. Andy didn’t have time to take stock of her own changes. The important things were still there, the weight of sword and dagger on her hip, and the gentle awareness of her Star of David necklace. She started to reach into her bag for a mirror to lend to April when Sabine started screaming. Andy winced and instead grabbed her fist aid kit. She moved over to Sabine. Andy looked over Sabine trying to figure out what was wrong with friend. There were no open wounds. But what Andy did see was... horrifying. The bones under Sabine’s flesh were moving. She thought of two things: Demonic possession and werewolves. “Her bones are... rearranging themselves.” Andy could only hope that this would end quickly. After, if Sabine wasn’t possessed or a mindless werewolf, she might want some ibuprofen or something. Andy placed her free hand on the hilt of her sword. She did not want to fight a demon possessed Sabine. “Uh, Glimpse,” Andy felt alright using the old code name of Glimpse's; it wasn't her real name and it wasn’t even her active moniker. “Are horrifying transformations like this... normal?”

Location: School Skills: Magic Item: N/A Otherworld Fit check

• 2 Types of Lanterns (electrical and oil) • 2 pairs of shoes (1 pair is worn) • Thermos • Bottle of water • Rice Bags • Bean Bags • Canned Beans • Baby Wipes • Dry Shampoo • Deo • Toothbrush and Paste • Kettle • Tea Containers • Sugar Cubes • 3 Changes of Clothes • Death Tarot card • Garlic
Ben stared at the card that Glimpse had handed him. It made him uncomfortable. Ben didn’t know the nuances of the meaning of the card. He just saw him depicted as Death, upon a pale horse. Chase patted the top of his head and Ben sighed, pulling off his heavy backpack enough to slide the card into the front zipper pocket which normally held pens and other small items, right now it held his toothbrush and other things. He felt awkward joining the group photo, but everyone was in them and it would be even weirder to not be. He knew Danni well enough to know that Danni would have spent twenty minutes just taking photos if given the opportunity. Chase told the group how he had come up with new names. Ben was certain he wouldn’t remember everyone’s names. He’d probably remember his own, Gallahad, and Chase’s, which Ben had caught the meaning behind. But there were some names in there he had never heard of before. Even with all of Chase’s recent chatting about King Arthur. Ben assumed Chase didn’t call him Arthur since that was technically one of his names. Ben wasn’t surprised that Chase kissed Danni though he wished he had given a little bit of a warning to Danni. Ben didn’t think it was polite to kiss someone without their permission. “I, uh, told him about last night. He wasn’t mad, but apparently wanted to make things even. Sorry that he didn’t ask first.” He wasn’t excited about stepping through, so he waited, following Chase. The change in elevation and the sand was unsettling but he was able to keep his balance. They had landed in a desert. Sand dunes were the primary site, and some walking mountain in the distance. Everyone had changed clothes. Percy had become a cat-person even. Seeing that made Ben take a look at himself. Checking for ears that didn’t belong. He was relieved that he hadn’t been apparently transformed. Just his clothing, which might be a good thing since he had been wearing a heavy winter coat and they were now in the desert. Though, Ben knew how cold a desert could get at night and had a feeling he’d be missing that coat if they were still out here at night. His new outfit seemed to be well designed for travel at least and was layered. He missed the hat though. That would have been good against the sun. Sabine was screaming. He stepped closer to make sure she wasn’t being attacked by fire ants or something and then stepped back again when he didn’t see any. He couldn’t think how he could help her. Hopefully whatever was happening would end quickly and she would be alright. Ben looked to Chase who had transformed clothing too. He looked... even more dark and broody than normal. The wings he had temporarily summoned had not made that image any less...attractive. Well bloody hell. Ben distracted himself by looking into his bag to check if everything was still there. There was clothing he didn’t recognize, which either meant the stuff that Chase had packed was different than his usual stuff, or it had changed too. Ben sighed, figures. It seemed everything else was there, and the weight hadn’t changed. He lifted the bag and put it back on, grunting a little under the weight. “Okay, now I am super confused. April, or Rillie? Though, I suppose if we are here you should use a different name. And you said yesterday they/them pronouns right?” Ben was starting to think he had missed a whole conversation. He probably had. He was new. No one had a reason to tell him anything.
