Aster hadn’t noticed the passage of time so much as that time had passed; he noticed the differences when the sun was high and hot versus the slowly fading light casting shadows across his fine features, shifting from sparkling beauty to mysterious seductress and the delicate changes as he shifted from one into the other. It was only when the bell rang and the obsidian surface of the lake offered little and less of himself that the spell was broken and he was drawn out of his reverie feeling warm and pleasant. He stretched, feeling loose and relaxed for the first time since he’d come here, and he pushed himself to his feet. His legs were sore, his knees protesting after kneeling at the water’s edge for so long, and he felt pins and needles up and down his legs as blood rushed back into them. He took a few moments to massage the sensation out of his legs, but even the dirt stains he had to brush off his pants couldn’t chase away his good mood and he hummed to himself as he sauntered back to the main cabin. 

 Aster pushed open the main entrance and his mouth salivated at the smell of hamburgers, bounding happily in to eat Marco’s food. He wasn’t shy, serving himself a patty without a bun and only scooping a few fries out. He dotted it with a little mustard but he otherwise left it plain, and rustled up a plastic fork and knife. He didn’t even pout at the fact that they didn’t have lettuce for a decent lettuce wrap. [color=00FCD8]“What a pleasant afternoon. If every day will be like this, then I think we’ll have an excellent time.”[/color] Aster hummed as he cut delicately into the burger and popped a piece in his mouth, kicking his feet as he chewed happily.
