Still, just making it out of that miserable encounter was enough for Roxas to feel relieved. Of course, his Pokemon were a bit less worse for wear. Titan had cut his own HP in half in order to use Curse, and even Turbo was looking pretty tired after having put the pedal to the metal to get him and Blazermate out of there. ”Thanks, you guys.” Roxas said, giving them both a grateful pet before recalling them to their Poke Balls for some well-deserved rest. While the other Seekers were preparing to enter the cavernous moon, Roxas took that time to sit down and decompress. The stress he’d racked up trying to fight against the Seething Sigh took its toll. Scamp - his only Pokemon that remained outside of its Poke Ball - pressed close against his trainer’s side and nuzzled against him. The Boltund could sense that Roxas was suffering in that cave, even if he didn’t fully comprehend how or why, and was instinctively trying to comfort him. ”I appreciate you, buddy.” Roxas said softly, hugging the Pokemon a moment. ”Of all the memories to get dredged up… I wasn’t expecting those.” Though he could still clearly recall the cruel, callous words of DiZ from those past interactions, Roxas had already let go of his bitterness toward the man. Or at least, he thought he had. After all, DiZ - or Ansem the Wise, as he was truly known - did what he did because he had been betrayed by his own students. At the time he was letting his desire for revenge color his perceptions. But it sure felt like Roxas was still feeling some lingering resentment for how callously he was treated while being held in that virtual prison that DiZ had constructed for him. ”I guess…” Roxas murmured to himself, ”...even if I don’t hate him anymore, I still haven’t been able to actually forgive him yet either.” But any further thoughts had to be set aside when it was time to press forward. And so Roxas and Scamp both followed the Seekers into the moon. From the sounds of it, they’d have to relight the sun or something along those lines. Roxas only had one Fire spell he knew how to cast, so he wasn’t sure how much that would contribute. Thankfully, though, fire happened to be the specialty of Mokou. But when her flames attracted a new enemy to attack the Seekers, Roxas practically groaned. ”Why can’t it ever be simple?” Roxas only had time to cast Tailwind and Aeroga on himself before a volley of spikes were shot at all the Seekers by the Man in the Moon that had emerged. ”Scamp, return!” He shouted as he scrambled to recall the Pokemon safely then leaped up and generated a platform of virtual cubes to land on above the spike hazards as they passed. After the wave finished, Roxas quickly recalled Scamp to his Poke Ball and went to work. He wanted to spread around as many Tailwind and Aeroga spells as he could to help the others initially and that meant he needed to be able to use Flow Motion to move around without having to worry about his Pokemon keeping up. And the first recipients of his buffs were Ganondorf and the Ace Cadet. Roxas usually made a point to target the larger or slower members of the Seekers first who could benefit more from the buff sooner. And they didn’t come much bigger than the Gerudo did. And since Ace had been nearby Roxas went ahead and tagged him with a Tailwind buff as well while he was at it. After that, Roxas maneuvered himself closer to Sectonia so he could cast Tailwind on her as well, since she was a larger target too. Then he cast one on Mokou since her flames were going to be super important in getting this objective done. After that he made a point to give the buff to Blazermate and Sandalphon, wanting to make sure the Healers could get around quicker if they needed to. After that, he started sporadically targeting others such as Edward and his constructs as well as Ramattra. When he was sure he’d gotten everyone, that was when Roxas finally went on the attack himself, meaning his opening strike was probably one of the last ones to come out. And when he did finally go on the offensive, the Keyblade Wielder did so by vanishing on the spot. His opening teleportation strike with his StepSword had become a staple of his fighting style at this point, and this fight was no different. Roxas reappeared behind the Man in the Moon and slashed at him with his ignited StepSword before following that with a short series of rapid Keyblade strikes with Oathkeeper and Oblivion.
