Lucius
Chewing through the savory roasted potatoes still, the faint feeling of wanting to get more coming alongside the rest perhaps, Lucius almost didn't notice the changes in the room as the arrival of dessert came along. It was almost like stirring from a slumber of some kind, really, as the brown haired boy snapped back into reality slightly jarringly for his part as Arrish approached him and addressed him. Eyes went alert, though he moved to recompose himself as the man spoke. A gift? For him? Though the way he phrased as he called to some of the 'ladies' to serve it certainly made it sound a bit more, er, like-
With a flourish Arrish would reveal the dish himself, it was a deluxe banana split piled high with vanilla, chocolate and strawberry ice cream, drizzled with fudges, and caramels and sweet sticky sauces that Lucius could only dream of. Arrish gave a light bow towards the young man. "Thank you for being a knight in shining armor, and looking after lady Elora in her hour of need."
... ... ... Giant. Bananna. Split. The younger man's pupils wouild literally dilate to some extent at the sight. Thoughts went silent. Hands went to find his utensils, if they were even large enough to handle it, but slowly, carefully, Lucius would get a good bit of bananna with some ice cream and caramel on it before raising it to his mouth and taking the whole big bite into his mouth. Sweet. Lightly chewy for the partially-chilled caramel that had mildly solidified just enough, but just right on the saltiness of it all the same. A touch of fudge with the right depth of chocolate flavor to differ from the chocolate ice cream, being itself not too sweet or too bitter while remaining a nice complement to the dish. Fresh, perfectly ripe tasting banannas, as if they'd been plucked from the harvest before putting them in the dish. Plus the ice cream has a rich creamy smoothness to it, certainly a full fat milk variety, with the strawberry kind having an nice freshness and the occasional crunch of a real strawberry seed in it to certify just what it was. Likewise the vanilla ice cream had a nice richness of vanilla flavor to it, like unto a nice vanilla bean wrought fresh into the ice cream itself during churning rather than simply using some generic store-shelf-grade stuff (not that he didn't like that in its own way, but still). Quality products, all being combined into one masterful delivery of a dessert that danced upon his tongue in an utterly decadent, smooth, and well-balanced experience. A lovely coalescing of ingredients that formed a rather cohesive and bite-by-bite variance of flavors and toppings that delighted the taste buds and the soul alike. Or in other words, one truth alone stood out in his mind in the moment: It was genuinely, sincerely, honestly, and wholly so the very best and most extravagant bananna split he'd ever had in his entire life (thus far). It was a time of bliss and euphoria, even as he got another bite on his spoon, conscientiously getting a variety in the next spoonful to differ from the first, and letting it melt away in his mouth and barely able to avoid speeding up (brain freezes were no joke) as he savored the bite all the same with all the joy of a small child. A small child who was living in better times, with a happier life, and he wasn't even that old yet. However, at near the tail end of the experience, as the last bit of fudge and a strawberry sauce and lingering fragment of vanilla ice cream began to make the trip back to go down to his stomach- A flash of longer blue hair flickered in his mind, alongside a pair of predatory eyes that sought new prey, and that same walk that would be better suited to a fashion show than a military vessel. It was familiar, and it was enough to send a phantom chill down the younger man's back that not even the coldest of ice cream would be able to match in that moment. The spoon fell from Lucius' hand onto his napkin nearby as he was swept up in a breif vision....or rather, warning of some kind it would seem. Even his Awareness tugged at him as he felt something approaching the room, and as his mind went to the figure from the vision he felt his instincts as a Master of Directions lock supernaturally onto the target. All signs matched to the same form, the same figure, the same hot mess he'd run into back in the cargo bay when he'd arrived to see what was coming. When that shuttle of drinks arrived, and the Corporal-....oh. Oh no. His head snapped around like the crack of a whip, all just in time to see the visage of the vision and the Corporal in tow. While she did go after Arrish himself as her first laser-focused target, though, the Corporal simply stood behind and spoke to the rest of them.
"So, uh, that is my sister." He said to the others but not mentioning anything in particular. "Our guest." He announced. "Please...be nice." He answered through gritted teeth.
...His discomfort was palpable, as far as Lucius was concerned, and yet as much as the man didn't seem to like him he still felt a pang of instinctual empathy. Like he was trying to not play things up, despite their guest being a princess-....wait, so was Corporal Bugatti a Prince then? Huh. It made his comparison of the man to a politician make some good sense then. Though why'd she called him a chicken nugget back there? Hmm. That and other details of the prior event came to mind as he tried to think back on things, chasing away the happy childlike joy that had once been there not so long ago, though while he hadn't lingered more with the others to get more info it perhaps wasn't a situation where that'd have been a good idea. That mucch his mind and gut instinct shouted at him. So in that vein he still felt glad to have left to help move the drinks soon thereafter. Yet as his eyes moved over to see how the others reacted, he noted in particular that Elora seemed to falter from her usual bright smile as the two entered and at least some of them gave greetings to the two newest arrivals. The loss of light in her eyes. Yet only to snap back, seemingly, as the Lilim of their team brought a cake over to her and-...why was the robot looking like a partly naked woman? Wait. Now enough off those in the room seemed to be staring in Elora's direction, with the girl who had the attention visibly gulping before asking about a cake server. ....Oh no indeed. Lightly coughing, and with the breifest of glances back at his own towering dessert as if to almost hesitate, Lucius would lightly stand up and walk over to where Elora and Stella were. He'd have a little haste in his movements, despite attempting to put on proper formality, but luckily he and Elora were at least at the same table here. "I can find a cake server if we need, though I'm not familiar with the kitchens here as of yet. Would you happen to know where one is?" Lucius spoke to Elora, though turned his final question over to Stella in particular. Turn a little of the attention to him, perhaps, instead of the other girl. A reflexive reaction. Something he'd just done without a second thought in his mind about it, save for that momentary glance at the banana split. Though whether the Lilim went to get the server, or told him where to find one, it at least was....was...eh, er, he was figuring it out as he went along really, despite effectively putting on what amounted to a polite mask and such for what it was worth right now.
