[i]next[/i] to her bed. The sudden impact of the fall jolted the girl awake with a flurry of flailing and rapid sputtering, until she realized her circumstances, and looked on at her bed with an expression of both irritation and longing. Yet, a Priestess had work to do in the morning. Certainly before others came to visit her temple! Pushing herself to her feet, Ranni looked towards the familiar form of her Gecko Plushie, Goji, still sitting on the bed. A small pout grew on her features as he frowned towards the toy. [color=5946b2][b]"Goji! You're supposed to warn me before I fall out of bed! Slacker."[/b][/color] She chided, as if the toy could understand a single she was saying to it. Moving from the bed in a fluid motion, Ranni set about getting ready for the day. Pausing only for a second as she went to change, and realizing she'd gone to sleep without her nightgown. Odd. With a shrug, the girl decided it must've been hot in the temple when she fell asleep, and thus opted to not wear a layer. A habit the Priestess hoped ahe wouldn't get attached to, modesty was rather important afterall! A few minutes later, Ranni was drifting out of her quarters to begin her chores for the day before those in need of Aelios' light might begin showing up. Reaching down, she lightly patted the head of the plushie sitting in her pocket, its head sticking out as if watching where she was taking him for the day. A soft hum had barely started to leave Ranni's lips as she proceeded down the hall... before she heard it. [i]Voices.[/i] Not the voices of the guards she'd become used to either, one she didn't recognize and one belonging to... Kira. Why was she here so ear- [i][color=5946b2]No wonder I feel so rested...[/color][/i] The thought crossed Ranni's mind as she recalled the way she'd been feeling weaker and weaker in small increments the last few days. The way she kept waking up tired... but somehow had avoided that this morning. Along with the fact that people were already inside the temple... there was only one conclusion for the girl to come to... She'd slept in. With a small squeak, Ranni ran forward the last few steps to try to reach the guests and apologize for her tardiness, but in her fanatic run the girl's newfound biology quickly decided to show itself right as she emerged from the hall leading back to her quarters. Her tail, long and usually rather uncontrolled swished back her legs as she ran. Treating those sitting inside to the sight of the blonde Priestess appearing, and nearly instantly falling forward with a yelp of surprise as she once again met the floor. She almost broke her oath not to swear... Slowly pushing herself up to her feet, Ranni looked towards the two in her temple and held up a hand as if asking them to wait. Turning back, she walked into the hall and out of their sight. A moment later, the Priestess reappeared at a much calmer pace with a serene look on her features. Attempting a re-do at her entrance. The only sign of her precious ordeal being the stray strands of blonde hair that had decided to start their rebellion at her usual controlled styling early that day. [color=5946b2]"My apologies for keeping you waiting, I fear I might've stayed up too late reading and slept in..."[/color] Ranni said to the two as she re-entered this time. Hoping the explanation would serve well enough to stave off any irritation they might've developed while waiting for her. [color=5946b2][b]"Miss Kira! A pleasure to see you again![/b][/color] Ranni said with a slight bow of her head before turning her attention towards Sya. [color=5946b2][b]"And... ah, I am afraid I do not know your name. I am Priestess Ranni Soleil, how might I assist you in Aelios' light today?"[/b][/color] She asked the other, wearing a warm smile as she approached the two, stopping just before them as her tail lightly flicked behind herself. Inside her violet eyes, a determined look burned. A determination to outdo the rough start of the day, and prove she could handle the temple just fine while her sisters were gone... Light, she missed them.
