Oh, contests were fun! Never really was into them when I played through Pearl and later White as a kid, but once Omega Ruby came out, I really got into them. May or may not have been because I had the hots for the one contest girl who I forgot the name of and who gives you the Lucario mega stone but that's unrelated! They were genuinely fun! I built an entire team dedicated to contests and rocked it! I was determined to have every single one of my team members have at least a single ribbon, even the ones who I kept in the box as a backup team. Maybe eventually I'll get into contests in my 'totally legitimate' copy of Platinum!
