Though her maneuver hadn't gone according to plan, Jack counted it as a success all the same since the end result was what she'd wanted: the defeat of the slime monster. Great work on her part, if she did say so herself. Of course now she was cradled up against the big man puppet, which was more awkward than cozy... but at least it had saved her from being shot around like a pinball. Before Jack wiggled herself free, the puppet's master said something that was, frankly, shocking.

Totally incomprehensible. Or maybe Nukkelina was just gaslighting Jack for fun. It was hard to read a porcelain-like face after all... but she was going to go with the other woman just pretending not to be a huge nerd, which was pretty dumb since she'd already showed her hand. Jack huffed and slipped down from Pekka's arm while the other one lifted up its' master. She began slowly sliding down the incline of the floor until she was once again balanced between floor and wall. 

[color=gold]"Yeah, whatever,"[/color] she replied with a turn of her head, not quite as impressed with that dramatic turn of phrase as she had been with the flashy title of the finisher. She let Nukkelina escape, but did not follow. Instead Jack looked down the empty, distorted hallway that the other espers had gone through earlier. 

Would that part of the ship flood first? It had shifted hard in that direction earlier, but now with the whole thing seeming to be breaking down, she didn't know if one section was in more danger than another. Though the real question was had those girls found the abductees, freed them, and escaped the damaged spacecraft already? If Jack was betting on this, she'd have thrown all her chips on "they ran into trouble and were still down there." In fact in her experience, the odds were pretty high that that was the case - and because it was, it was easy for her to determine her immediate next course of action.

Jack turned into the hall way, flicking her glasses on again and sprinting to the end where she arrived at the longer corridor. Already she could hear voices to her left, so she hopped across disconnected building blocks until she was at the threshold of the room where the other espers had gone. She found not only the ones that had been on the beach, but many more in various states of awareness. Must be the captives.

Her eyes swiftly searched over the new faces. If what they'd been told earlier, that every epser in Pax besides those on the beach that morning had been captured already, then... [color=gold]"this isn't everybody!"[/color]

Jack didn't know what had been said before she'd arrived, but she could see a portal out already made. She turned her sharp gaze onto Marrie, who'd she'd at least caught the tail end of her saying "finding anyone else." Then she cut a glare at Dan. [color=gold]"Looks we don't have a lot of time, so hurry up and tell us where the rest of them are!"[/color]
