Alistair cleared the air with his shots, allowing the imp to bank sharply right and fade into obscurity as he surveyed the battlefield. There seemed several more were intent on doing harm to the large copper statue that dominated the harbor. It must have some significance of some kind. The imp would be rather interested to know what it was that made this statue such a target. It was certainly grandiose. As large as any he'd seen in the ancient world. Still not as impressive as the Sphinx. Speaking of impressive, it seemed Alistair had some fireworks in mind of his own. As the Lord Blackwood went rocketing into the air, the imp's jaw fell open. It was not often in all the thousand of years that mortals impressed him. Alistair seemed a singular exception to the rule. A shadowy quartet suddenly appeared, belting out the notes of God Save The King as Blackwood went sailing upward.
“You did good, wee man. Whatcha name?” He asked him in Gaelic while wiping some of the blood from his outfit. After a bit of cleanup he started to light up a cigar.
The shadowy quartet seemed to go up in smoke. Dropping from where he hovered in the air, the boy's pennyloafer's clopped back to the ground s the youth dusted himself off so to present a proper appearance. "Nathanael," he answered formally, flipping an errant lock of hair from out of his face and then genuflecting to the strange hero with a flourish as he added, "Page to Lord Alistair Blackwood." As he straightened up, the boy's head turned to gaze back at the aforementioned lord. "I do apologize, sir," the boy remarked, in the clipped tones of perfect Received Pronunciation. "But if you'll excuse me, I do believe that my master has brought a sword to a gun fight." That was definitely a phrase he never imagined himself saying. However, in contrast to his words, the boy seemed relaxed as he added, "Not that we need end the conversation. I merely mean to inform that this form that you're addressing is an illusion." Overhead, the real Nate was sailing through the air toward where Blackwood and the German each sped toward one another. A burst of light aimed for the German's face, hoping to pull his aim away from Alistair and give the man an opening to close the distance.
