Fiona took the mixed news more or less in stride, relieved to hear her team had already been discussed for tag team matchups. Gordon confirmed what everyone already suspected, that NMW would be ramping up signings to add more depth to both of its divisions and create a few more pairings, enough to ensure some steep competition for the tag titles. Fiona recalled the Psych Ward immediately. Though she never had a match with The Doctor as a rookie under the old brand, she knew Kendra had had the displeasure, and that it hadn't gone well for her. Still, Kendra had improved dramatically since then, and Fiona could back her up this time for a chance to get even. She wasn't any more eager than Kendra was to get in the ring with the weirder competitors of the wrestling world, but she couldn't deny the contrasting styles would make for a good clash. If Defiant Dream wanted to brand themselves as two up-and-coming heroines going against the No Mercy world, it only made sense to pit them against women that opposed that ideology. The crowd would eat it up. "I didn't mean to demand a main event match or anything," she said quickly, trying to backpedal a little. "I just want us to be able to get our name out there, sooner rather than later. And if that means taking on any of those teams you mentioned in the coming weeks, we'll be happy to." She'd learned firsthand how challenging it could be to be the opponent for a new signing's debut, but if that was what they were up against, it would be exactly the chance to make an impact she was looking for.
