Too warm? He did not catch her meaning. He would never get used to this cold, but then again he was a special case. The weather slowed one's reflexes down, it made his body stiff and cumbersome. Perhaps that made little difference to a dead enemy, but it really annoyed him to no end. At least now, however, he did have some clothing to keep him limber. Speaking of stiff, when Charynrae pulled him down close to her and she spoke to him in her haughty tone, he had never wanted her more. He was speechless, in fact, but the moment was broken when she drifted away and pointed to a potential adversary in the rocky decline of the mountainous terrain. "You can he-" he started, but of course she could hear. Those dark ears twitched through her hair, and he unsheathed his long knife and saber in unison. He shared a look with his drow companion, and lowering himself, he sped towards the crags and off the road. Whatever was out here in caves, it would be dangerous or large. Anything near the road likely preyed on travelers. Not today, however. Today they would prey upon the beasts of the wilderness. Amal crept through the rocks, prepared to find an orc or a bugbear behind every stone, but luckily there were none. Luckily, the mountainside was as barren of humanoids as it was of vegetation. Even less so, as one could still find stubborn roots and weeds clinging through the cracked stone. Soon, Amal could see the yawning mouth of a cave. After miles of walking, it would be a better place than none to spend the night, but first blood needed to be shed. He glanced back at Charynrae and winked.
