Yep, I suffer form Retinitis Pigmentosa, a degenerative, incurable eye-condition. It, effectively, makes you blind either REALLY fast, or slowly over time. I've got the latter type.

I usually mostly use my cane for when I go to places I'm unfamiliar with, as I can still [i]see[/i]. So i can navigate my neighbourhood well enough. But if I go somewhere I'm not used to being, or go out during poor light conditions (or when it's TOO bright), I hafta use my cane to avoid walking into other people and stuff.
