Deep below the city of Yomisaka… At exactly 7:49 AM on the twenty-third of March, something was uncovered during an excavation for Yomisaka’s newly-blooming subway system. No true reports were sent out when the excavator hit the wall of the cave, nor did any seismic or geological instruments detect any form of cavern in the general area. When the workers themselves witnessed the site, a feeling of drowsiness overcame them. After a few seconds, all employees of the city-sponsored site were unconscious, including the people supervising the project. What occurred afterwards was truly bizarre. The tunnel network would be covered up— not in a metaphorical way— but quite literally covered up as if the tunnels were never there. No reports were filed of the incident, as everyone involved had either completely disappeared from society, or had forgotten about the project altogether. Unbeknownst to the populace, something occurred in that site long ago. The war for the world’s hegemony was waged, and one of the generals of the Crimson Moon was defeated here, in the very place that would become the city of Yomisaka. His body was shattered, and perhaps his soul was even more so in a sorry state, but he lived. There were no mysteries or creatures that were born from his corpse, nor did anyone discover his ancient tomb… Until now. The existence of the tomb was something that should not have been discoverable, but with millennia of waiting, the subconscious will of the bloodsucker eventually concluded that it was time to feed. Slowly but surely, the city will be plunged into chaos, the world itself not remembering what happened in these nights.
On March twenty-fourth, 3:33 AM, a plane arrived in the Tokyo Metropolitan Area. The individuals inside the plane are presumed to be foreigners, backed by the evident route of the plane from St. Petersburg. There is very little known about the individuals in question, only that they may be covert operatives that have landed in Japanese territory. Magical investigations and all forms of mystical scans have not found anything unusual, however caution is advised from the fact that mundane airspace authorities were unable to identify or even recognize the existence of the plane altogether. All records of flight control, airport towers and other such factors indicate that the plane either landed without any detection, or somehow materialized out of thin air in a remote, private airstrip somewhere in Saitama. In conclusion, this information is to be considered by the client, as various factors, along with the anomalies within Tokyo in general pose as somewhat concerning for the stability of the client’s residence. — Spellcaster Report
Silence pervaded the room, the only sound audible being the silent crackling of a cigar’s burning material spreading its smoke throughout the area. “So this is the conclusion, I suppose.” A young man stood in an old office chair, two people of questionable moral standing facing him in their own chairs, which were considerably less comfortable. “Yeah. That’s all we got from the investigator. Said it would probably be fine to stay here for a couple months despite things being weird around here.” Caius merely stared at the man to his right, a chubby, disheveled man who reeked of alcohol. It was obvious that was merely a courier or messenger, and was rather shaky and nervous despite his good attempt at not stuttering, evident from the fact that he was sweating bullets and would occasionally chew on his undershirt when he thought no one was looking. It was only natural, he was standing before a bloodsucker after all. But that was all the man knew, and his colleague next to him was considerably calmer— someone that had dealt with Caius’s business before and had seen his methodology. “So we gettin’ cash or a wire transfer?” The taller man to Caius’s left spoke, his partner’s eyes seemingly bulging out of his eye sockets as the man spoke. The chubby one probably thought of his partner’s nonchalant attitude as being disrespectful, but Caius had worked with this individual for a considerable amount of time, so he was sure he meant no disrespect. In response, Caius merely pulled out a small bag and placed it on his desk. The bag landed with a heavy thump, the contents obvious to the people inside the room. It was cash: about two hundred fifty thousand yen. This amount was a part of what Caius had earned from selling much of the possessions that he had brought with him to Japan— much of which were valuable materials from the Holy Church. The alcoholic man’s eyes bulged out even more, but his friend merely whistled with a surprised tone. “Sheesh. Didn’t expect ya to be so generous.” The tall one spoke, grabbing the bag as if it was a sack of potatoes. “What you handed me was valuable intel. After all, I am going to be living in this country for the foreseeable future.” A smile greeted the two men, causing the taller one to grimace and the rotund one to slightly tremble in his chair. “You may leave now.” Without a chance to breath, the taller one got up and dragged his partner by the collar, the other man fumbling slightly before adopting his usual gait and leaving the dingy office. Once the men’s footsteps were no longer audible, Caius merely looked at the report with a blank stare, thinking of his affairs in this new land. He had set up his very own service-related business, one that would both dispense and receive information for clients as well as assisting with investigations regarding the supernatural. The ones that had just left were people he had personally requested to give him a report on the happenings of the area, something unusual for him, as he usually did things on his own. But something told him that he would need some help getting used to the country he found himself in. But with those thoughts passing by, he would press a button on his desk, and a distant buzzing sound could be heard from his office. “Up next: one Tsubasa Rohrbach…” The pale, white-haired man spoke out to himself.
