Miyuki's precision seemed to reset with each weapon. Interesting. Were her eyes glowing, or was it a trick of the light? She could not be sure. She remembered how Miyuki had handled the first pistol, the way she held it sideways, the way she'd pointed it into her face. Something didn't add up, but she couldn't be sure what. Maybe it was the way her thoughts were still a little scattered after Miyuki had been so very close, that she couldn't figure it out. She hadn't shown the pulse rifles, or "lasguns", as the crew called them, but those... actually, weren't very potent in small numbers. Miyuki would likely hate it, if the difference in her reaction from pistols to shotguns was any indicator. She could see the look of excitement on her face, though had been unable to tell if she found the recoil satisfying or the destruction. Yumeiko had gotten distracted by... something(s) else. "It isn't that we don't. Those are, also, more used for domestic security. There's a nice two-pronged spear that a more generous ally of ours has started producing, actually. It traps instead of injuring - that one's great." Her tails wagged gently, thinking of all the lives safeguarded by the peaceful weapon. She turned and motioned for Miyuki to come with her. The golden fox led the way through the door all the weapons had been passing through, into the armor section directly. "It's long enough to keep you out of reach of the target. But, uh, that's no good for war." "We have two or three swords. More spears. And more of the trapping spear." The swords and spears were on the wall, the trapping spears were on a freestanding weapon rack. "That same ally is also designing an Aevon weapon for me. She's really nice, we get along well. I've not met her in person, but she seems to have the same knack for," Yumeiko thought about it for a moment, "reaching out through it. When I hear from her, I hear her. Not like fleet comms, that's more like... this." She motioned at the visible text field floating in front of her eyes, in the corner of her vision, same as it was for Miyuki. "If we're not going to be in the firing range, we can take these off, actually." Yumeiko's ear protection disappeared in a puff of fox fire. She waited for Miyuki to remove hers or give a signal (which could be as little as an expectant look) before doing the same for hers. The HUD would go with it.
