As the heroes communed at the materials section, Lady Lynx wore a frown. They had won the day, sure. But one super and seven normal Nazis did not constitute a serious threat in Laura's book. She had thought this day would at least temporarily cure her of her boredom, and while it did for, oh...about two minutes or so, that wasn't enough to offset having to deal with that rude Major who talked past her. She resigned herself to the fact that a more interesting day would have to come later. [color=FFD1DC][i]Ugh.[/i][/color]

When the Torch of Liberty addressed her, she brightened slightly...only to have it immediately evaporate when Elastic Man responded for her. One day, she hoped, she would be respected enough to not be spoken over. She had to admit though, Elastic Man had good words to say about her skill at the rifle and ability to perform regardless of attire. She supposed she was satisfied with that. [color=FFD1DC]"Thank you, Elastic Man,"[/color] she replied, before addressing the Torch. [color=FFD1DC]"Indeed. My father, through all his failings, got one thing right by insisting I learn to shoot. Fortunately for him, I took to it well."[/color]

If between us we couldn't handle a handful of Nazis and one two-bit super, I should think we wouldn't deserve to be called 'supers' ourselves."[/color] Not that she would mind, however. She hated the term "superhero". It fit the gung-ho, tights-wearing type like the Golden Guardian or Torch of Liberty, but her? She didn't think neither "super" nor "hero" were apt descriptions of her. But if the others and the general public thought it appropriate, so be it.
