Yayama Yama
Location: Yellow Wind Ridge Status: All mitted up LV: 6, EXP: 54/60 Word Count: 326 (+1) Yayama grunted as she was smashed between R's hand and gigantic face, then let out an "oof" as she was hurled to the ground. A blow like that could have killed a normal lalafell twice over, and in her time - Or what you still mistakenly remember as such, anyways - she'd seen just that happen to more people than she'd like. This particular attack reminded her of one that had been blessedly free of red mist, fortunately. Her clash with Byakko had been an all-around atypical fight, but it had provided her with applicable and highly specific experience. She hadn't really anticipated "cope with being stunned, picked up, squeezed, and bodily thrown at the ground again" being transferable knowledge, but she wasn't about to complain. About the knowledge, anyway. She was quite willing to complain about being thrown about like a particularly annoying stone. Yayama Yama, however, was no ordinary lalafell. She was the (admittedly, somewhat self-proclaimed) Warrior of Darkness. "Well," she said, picking herself up off the ground and straightening the animal head she'd involuntarily found herself wearing. "That's a decent warmup." Showing no further signs of feeling the attack, her aether shimmered into visibility around her. Layers of magical defense warded her in anticipation of the next exchange. Furthermore, it seemed like the Consul's reversion of the area to its primal roots had actually slightly increased the efficacy of a blessing from a certain nature spirit; combined with her own natural recovery and the Vercures she cast after readying her defenses, she'd have fully recovered from R's retaliation in no time. "Basically, what you should be getting from this exchange is that you simply aren't on my level," she called up at the Consul, hefting her blade. "But don't fret. I can help you with that!" Her last few words became a growl as she wound up, charging her sword with shadow, then let off a powerful Edge of Darkness toward R's ankles.
