It was warm and welcoming, a portal into another world, not haunted by Dark Elves and other menacing evils. The rays welcomed Aurora from her long slumber. First, brushing her eyes and then kissing her cheeks, which were no longer flushed with a fever of pain. The magic Timothy had crafted was now drifting onto other things, as Aurora no longer needed its works. As her eyes opened, the sleepy mist of magic lifted. For a brief moment, she listened, gently turning her head, feeling the warmth of the sun touching her skin. She thought a soft melody was playing, but when she concentrated on the sound, it disappeared. And then, the sharp memory of Vasco's kidnapping twisted in her mind. "Vasco!" she gasped. The memory turned more and more like a feeling growing warmer, until she could see from the black abyss a small light growing larger; red, yellow, and blue. A giant flame. As the flame flickered endlessly it began to look like something more. A face but not just a face. It was Vasco's. He was huddled inside something, trapped, and as the vision expanded it became obvious where he was. Voices could be heard and faces matching the voices were seen in the apparition. She was calling out to him, desperately trying to say something -- anything. However, as she tried to speak, she could not hear herself. Instead, she felt someone's hands grab her, and the dream vanished before her eyes. The silent void returned. "Aurora!" Rowan was holding her. "What's wrong?" She could hear his panting breaths. She could also sense someone else was in the room. A small guiding light shining nearby. "Woah there, Rowan," Another voice suggested with an abundance of cheer."Grabbing a dame so tightly has never done them too well. Give her space, m'lad." "I..." She felt her brother's hand tighten. Her hand was weak, but her fingers managed to fold. "Ro...wan?" Her voice sounded weaker than she had expected. "Blessings from the gods and goddesses." Rowan bowed his head. She felt his hand bring hers to his forehead. A kind gesture that relaxed them both. "Where am I and where is Barrack?" "You might want to relax a little, M'lady. You still need your rest. Curious, though. You didn't ask about the human." Timothy boldly pointed out."Perhaps, you already know." His hat tipped its brim, casting a shadow over his face. "I must know if Barrack is fine and well before I speak more," Aurora said softly. Her hand slipped from Rowan's clutch. It was trembling. "He is strong and well." Rowan stopped himself. They were fortunate Barrack had not been wounded badly, especially after what happened. "He has gone to help retrieve Vasco. I delayed my departure, in case you awakened." "I am relieved Barrack is in good health," Aurora closed her eyes."I was unhelpful and got in the way. I must apologize to everyone. However, if it is of any support," she sighed. "May I offer this vision -- I saw them taking Vasco to Iron Hold. He is terribly sad and alone. This is what I saw before you called my name." She frowned, remembering the sight of him once more. How could she be upset at his foolhardiness? Despite all, there was never truly room for such feelings. "I reckon you should keep resting, M'lady. Time marches onward no matter the cause. We'll be left behind if we don't act now. As much as it good to cherish time with your dear sister, Rowan. It'd be best if you left now. You might be able to catch them on their way. Once they get to Iron Hold, it'll be a different story, and Aurora will have to go with you, as weak as she still is." Timothy flicked his finger and the door to the room opened. "I reckon our good omen Barrock already has an idea of where Vasco is, and he could use your help as soon as you can grant it."
