The vampire looked at the young woman in front of him. He suspected that forces outside of Yomisaka itself were aware of the disturbances in the subway tunnels, so this wasn't much of a surprise. Lining up with the reports of the flight that he just read, it seemed that something significant was going on in this seemingly mundane city. "My, oh my..." He rubbed his forehead, a headache that truly wasn't there manifesting in his mind. "If you're after information about that incident, then I'll happily provide. Just know that you have to compensate me in some way afterwards." Indeed, he didn't want any sort of information to come out of his mouth without any sort of benefit on his side. Having this young lady- who he suspected had some connections to the Mage's Association- know anything significant could pose a major information leak, which was exactly the opposite of what he wanted. He had just moved into Yomisaka after all, and attracting even more of the attention of the Assocation- and possibly the Holy Church in the worst case- was undesirable. "To start off my services, I would like to say that this information is highly confidential in nature. Not even the best of the Association or the Church were able to detect the happenings in the subway tunnels outside of Yomisaka." He opened his drawer, pulling out a piece of snake skin that contained much of the information of the initial incident. Upon anyone viewing the skin with any kind of intent to read it, the paper would temporarily connect itself to the "layers" of a person's existence, essentially granting "uploading" the knowledge contained within the dense piece of the data storage device in mere seconds. "To sum up the contents: it was nature interference that is far beyond what is capable for most mages of the modern era- hell, I'd say that it may not even be possible to do such a thing in these times. I suspect it to be a major mystical force at play..." The next thing he was about to say, he would consider very carefully, thinking of his statement thoroughly in the span of milliseconds. "With the recent disappearances, I investigated such activity along with the rest of the strange occurrences. Most of the residences of those that went missing did not have any sign of struggle or resistance..." If the previous statement was considered very carefully, then what was to come next was something that pondered for a few seconds at the very least. "Investigators and spellcasters have found one particular associate of the subway incident. He was one of those that were only tangentially related to the project. Turns out that he suffered from severe anemia and blood loss right after the tunnels happened." He looked at the young woman for a moment. "Do you understand what this indicates? If not, then I will say it clearly: this is possibly some sort of activity involving creatures like me. In other words: vampires, or in the worst case scenario: major Dead Apostle-related activity." He opened his mouth, revealing a pair of fangs along with his teeth. If his pale skin and red eyes didn't reveal enough of what he was, then the fangs would definitely give it away.
