Lucas Byrne
Lucas stopped looking around and looked at Jack. "Jack," we are all in the same boat here, and I do not care much for Coswall or how he is doing. I just want to find my mother, and I hope she is still alive in this place." He took a moment to gaze at the mural before looking back at Jack. "Wherever we are, and I guess Coswall was right about there being a lost world, but we should get going." Waiting to see if Wade or Taras had any objections, and when he heard none. Lucas took one last look at the mural and wondered what kind of world that Coswall brought his mother to and what lay in this place. But they could not find out without exploring, so Lucas led the group to the only corridor that was in the chamber. Silently wishing he had brought a camera to at least document what they found while looking for their loved ones.
It took some time to leave the temple. It was bigger than the one in South America but had the same symbols on the walls of the corridors that they found. Still, Lucas kept to the same corridor, and it was clear like the temple in South America. No one had been in here in a long time, and he was hoping that they were on the right track out of the temple. But soon he would see sunlight, and as he stepped out into the open. He could see what looked like a bright and lush jungle on either side of the temple. But unlike the temple in South America, this one was not overgrown, and the grass was short around the entrance as he looked back. It was clear of any vegetation and stood out in the jungle. But it still looked old and venerable. As he took a moment to look around, Lucas realized something. They were on a hill, and they had a good look at the surrounding area. Which was mainly jungle, but the sun looked different, or he thought it was a sun, but something was keeping the place bright at least. What is this place? Lucas thought to himself, and while he would normally consult the journal. It was more for finding the temple and getting to the Lost World, it had little to offer about what lies in the Lost World or what Coswall's plans were after finding it. Something that made him wonder where they went and how Coswall discovered this place. He was getting information from something, and that something he did not leave behind what it was. Still, as Lucas looked around to get a better scope of where to go. He saw that there was a large path that led down the hill, and he guessed it led into the jungle or some other building. As he was walking back to the others, and to saw where to go next. A group of flying creatures flew overhead and caught Lucas's eye. They looked small, like the size of a cat or the body and not the wingspan, but were flying and looked like pterodactyls. This made Lucas more curious about what kind of Lost World this place was. "Is that what I think it is?" Lucas said to himself as he watched the creatures fly by and further into the sky. Not sure if what he was seeing was right, and yet it was flying in the sky past them.
